5.0 out of 5 stars Quite operation, small shred This is the quietest paper shredder I have owned (out of 3). I fed 8 sheets into it and it shredded easily. The shreds are small, crosscut. There is a separate bin for the cards/CD so the plastics don't get mixed in with the paper. This is going to allow me to use the shred in the garden compost. I love it! You will too!

There is a slot for credit cards/cds in addition to the standard paper slot, and it shreds into small pieces. The shredder is small and easy to tuck away under a desk or in a small space beside between furniture, and easy to move around because it is on wheels. No complaints so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Medium Capacity Shredder The media could not be loaded.  My initial concern with this unit was how it was packaged. There is a molded foam base and top foam "cap" when you first open the box. This definitely prevents the unit from shifting in the box during shipping (China is a long trip) however there is zero protection on all four sides other than the standard cardboard box it comes in. This surprised me a little considering how much foam material surrounds a new printer or most new televisions. Happy to say my shredder made it unscathed.I love the wheels! I didn't think much about mobility at first, but soon realized what a benefit it is to be able to simply reach around the end of my desk and pull the shredder over to me, instead of going over to it.The power seems decent, I did of course push 10 sheets through at once as they claim it can handle, and it got the job done with minimal audible strain on the motor.The micro cut end result is a nice added security, and the nearly 5 gallon capacity is a huge plus.I'm looking forward to hopefully having this for many years, and I will definitely be using the shredded waste as a good fire starter in the wood stove.

The shredder feels very heavy duty that will last with long term use. The bin holds over 4 gallons and its easy to put in a trash bag and remove the shredding's. What I am most impressed with is the micro cut shred that provides an extra sense of security. It is also powerful enough to shred up my expired credit cards. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars price is high but does work really good Good so far. It takes a few cart refills to get used to. The window reads about 3/4 full and the red "full light" comes on. It will also shut down with a 1/2 thread doc, so I'll shake it back and forth a few times to reduce the fluff and it will overwrite the last doc. (Keep a vacuum nearby if you're using it on a carpeted floor lots of dust when used a lot) It fills up the trashcan quickly, It's like a confetti, smaller than an eraser. Nobody will ever read a letter or a word about grinds. I've never done 12 sheets at once, 6 or 7 is fine with me max. 5 seems to work fine.I would recommend doing this or the next size up if they make one. It's too small for an office. Would recommend to friends. Don't buy the cheapest.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a heavy duty shredder that cross cuts your sensitive documents and credit cards in way that they could never be reconstructed. In our modern era of online or cloud storage, there isn’t much of a need for physical paperwork anymore. So, disposing of all of my old paperwork that may have account numbers, social security numbers etc is important. This shredder easily handles credit cards and is rated for up to 10 sheets of paper.

This shredder is super easy to use. I only shredded one paper at a time but the instructions say it can do up to 10. There is a slot for CDs and plastic cards, which I really like. 5.0 out of 5 stars High quality, small shreds This is a great shredder. It works great, can shred small stacks of paper at once, and cuts the documents into extremely fine pieces. The shredded pieces go into a removable waste bin that slides in and out easily and holds a relatively large amount of paper, so you don't need to worry about emptying it too frequently. Its operation, while not silent, is no louder than one would expect from any paper shredder, so it's not an annoyance to keep in your home or office.It has a separate slot for shredding plastic items such as credit cards or CDs which also works well. Be aware, however, it does not cut these into nearly as fine of shreds as the paper. Rather, it cuts them into several long strips. That should be sufficient for most people, but it's not quite as good as the paper function. On the other hand, I do like that the plastic shreds are deposited into a separate small basket which attaches to the main waste bin, so you can keep your paper and plastic separate, if that's important to you, without any trouble.

Recently I found I was in the need of a new paper shredder for my home office for my business as my old one was finally wearing out. When I came across this 10-sheet micro cut 4.76-gallon pull-out basket with P-6 security level paper shredder from Woolsche I took a look at it and decided it would be a perfect replacement. I like the over size of this paper shredder. It has a huge basket and sits tall but doesn't take up too much room at all next to my desk. I like how it has a pull-out basket to make emptying the shredder really easy. I like that it can do up to 10-sheets at time which makes shredding a lot quicker. I like that it can handle laminated sheets as well as I have to shredded quite a few each week. And its a plus to me that it can handle credit and ID cards as well. It goes great with my desk which is black in color as well and fits right in with my other office equipment. Definitely a great replacement for my old shredder and one I look forward to using every week to take care of my paper shredding. 5 out of 5 stars. One person found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars When shredding is a daily task The media could not be loaded.  This shredder is expensive, but it IS better than our much cheaper and louder one.This shreds plastic as well as thick stacks of paper at a time. We get a lot of junk mail so this is a much more convenient way or getting rid of it almost daily.As I’ve said earlier, it is noticeably quieter than other shredders. It didn’t even disturb our sleeping cat and is no ear sore.If shredding papers is a daily occurrence for you and you need that extra convenience, consider investing in this once and be done with it. If you shred as much as the next guy, this may be overdone for you.Just shy of 4 stars for the price. 5 stars for the quality. Overall 4 stars

Staples and credit cards have been shared it with no problem. But the credit card shredder function does not shred credit cards completely. You can still see the numbers and put it together like a puzzle. 10 minute continuous shred function before auto shut off.

This is by far, the nicest shredder I have ever used. I love how tiny it cuts the paper. There is absolutely no comparison between this and a standard crosscut shredder that you can buy from your local discount store.PROS:* It shreds very small so that your privacy is more protected.* It has a large viewing window so it's easy to tell when your machine is full.* It is quiet! Very, very, quiet... even when shredding multiple pages at once.* It has a large capacity basket that is east to remove and dump.CONS:* The separate credit card slot for cutting, does not shred your card. It just slices it into four or five pieces. Use the regular paper shredding slot for credit cards because otherwise, all your information is easily compromised.Overall I really liked the shredder but if I had paid the full asking price of $199 for it instead of receiving it for free in exchange for an honest review, I might have sent it back in hopes of getting one that had the separate credit card shredder that actually worked. I don't know if mine is somehow not working properly and it's really supposed to shred your credit cards micro small in that separate slot or not but mine just doesn't and that makes me a little sad because the rest of the shredder features are top-notch. 6 people found this helpful

I’ve never owned a paper shredder so I did some research trying to figure out what made this one so much more expensive. There has to be some type of elite characteristic, setting it above others which makes the price so outrageous. It cuts credit cards and paper with separate slots for each. 10 pages can be shredded at once. I haven’t encountered a jam while using this machine. It has a clear window for monitoring shred capacity. Easy removable bin that slides out by gripping each side and pulling it towards you. It has a power on/standby/off switch. Instrument panel on top of machine that eliminates depending on the performing action. No paper clips or staples. All must be removed prior to insertion. Shredder is on wheels and arrives ready to shred straight out of the box. Yes, this is a nice micro- shredding device but not as spectacular as the price. For that price, it should find all junk paper needed to be shredded and load it’s self. Just a little joke. 2 people found this helpful

This shredder did not disappoint, but I have to state that my expectation with the CD/credit card shredder was low based on my experience with other shredders. It does not micro-shred these items, but there are shredders out there that will. However, that option wasn't as important to me but it might be for you, so be aware. It will shred up to 10 sheets max, depending on the thickness of the paper. Be sure to oil the shredder frequently to maintain its longevity!

Extremely noisy, and really only about 4 sheets at a time, or it can jam. Even with routine oiling, and picking out stuck pieces of paper. Not what I wanted but all that was available at the time I needed to replace the one the died. I agree with most of the other reviewers regarding price - rather expensive and current price is about $180. I would not spend this much on a shredder but since it was offered on the Vine program and I was looking for a new one, I ordered it. 1 star off just for too pricey.Regarding the credit card slot: I agree with other reviewers - it sucks. I don't routinely use a shredder on credit/store cards - I rather use scissors to make sure everything is cut up into tiny pieces. If you are going to use the special card slot, you'll need to put the card in the correct way. As if you were looking directly at it, to read off the numbers. If you put in it a vertical way, it will not do anything to the magnetic strips (the pic with yes and no). Even then, it doesn't cut the card as small as I would like. But if you do routinely use the card shredded, it has its own special little bin to catch the pieces.The general use and function of the shredder is great, in all other aspects. It is super, super quite compared to the previous ones. The container in is huge, so unless you are constantly shredding a ream a day, it may take most people a while to fill it. The window to monitor the level of paper is a great asset. Be careful when pulling out - it has wheels! So it comes out kind of fast. It can shred up to 10 sheets at a time - I personally feel that is a reasonable number of sheets to shred at one time. I don't think it takes a long time to shred, I don't wait any longer for the shredding to finish than with any other shredder I've used. This is for my personal use, so perhaps in an office setting, this may not be enough sheets at once. I do have a fair amount of shredding due to a guardianship and a trust cases, but I generally only shred 5 sheets at a time. Mostly because I look at every sheet for the 4-5th time to make sure it's ok to shred. For those who don't feel that 10 sheets at one time is enough, don't get this one. As with any shredder I have owned/used - you'll need to remove paper clips and staples. Again, I know so of the more commercial types may not need staples removed but I've never had a home version that did not. Just wish it wasn't such an expensive shredder. 3 people found this helpful

For added security, every once in awhile, I stir the shreds up and flush a handful or two down the toilet. No one is going to reconstruct those shreds!The credit card shredder cuts a credit card into large pieces that could be so I don't use that slot. I just put the credit cards in the paper slot and itty bitty pieces.I love it .... just works. One person found this helpful

The item was clearly advertised as having a security rating of P6, a major selling point for me. However, upon receiving and examining the product, I discovered that its actual security rating is P5. This discrepancy left me feeling misled, as I specifically chose this item based on its claimed P6 rating.Despite the letdown of an inaccurate security rating, I must acknowledge its impressive performance. The purchase turned out to be a good deal, as it resembles the size of a small office trash can. Its compact nature takes up minimal space, especially considering the price I paid. 3.0 out of 5 stars Still Not Sure About This The main shredder cross cuts to a nice small size. The secondary shredder, the one for credit cards, only makes very large cuts. It makes a credit card useless for swiping but it does not protect the information on it. If you intend to only use the machine for soft paper documents then it's fine. I also like that the bin comes out easily and never causes a jam even if a lot of paper overflows into the main chamber.I don't like that there are several other ways that it can jam even when it's not overloaded. Even though it is designed for the intake of a certain width of paper, it does not like when paper goes near the far edges of the slot. It also does not like paper that is small -- too narrow a paper can cause a jam. Most jams are easily reversed out. Some, however, could take minutes to hours to slowly pick out with a tweezer and not every tweezer works.Also, someone has made a very odd decision to connect the smaller credit card bin with in the larger one with just a piece of tape that flops the whole little bin out when clearing it. No real hinge! Yes, you can remove the tape but then the little bin will not stay in position and my get lost in the garbage bag that you use to empty the machine.

As a P5 shredder it is definitely worth 4 stars and their customer service is 5 stars.This is a very nice P5 shredder. When shredding a credit card in the marked slot it confirmed this. Sady it is advertised as a P6 shredder and that was why I purchased it. It I wanted a P5 I could have purchased it for 50% cheaper.Pros: Quiet and Pull out drawer has back wheels on it.Cons: Pull out drawer is flimsy and it is NOT a P6

The quality has been very good (owned for a couple of months - may be to soon to judge.... I will follow up in Feb to update it's consistency in performance. The size is excellent for me - this way I don't have to dump as often! Love the mobility of wheeling it from its standing location to out in LR / DR if cleaning out old papers and am in need of larger area to sort thru & just roll it back to its parking area!So glad I treated myself to upgrading to this level shredder... old one was small, and not up to date with cross cutting or credit card shredding abilities. So nice to not have to argue w/shredder and have the no jamming capabilities that the little one did not have!!!Saves time w/this shredders perks!

I read and watched the reviews (please do so as well), and decided to give this one a chance. I'm thrilled. It is quiet, quick, and turns your confidential paperwork into what looks like snow. And, no need to even open those envelopes promising you the best credit card in the world. One great tip I picked up from the reviews; there is a tray below the credit card slot. 4.0 out of 5 stars Still got a used unit, but it works well This is the 2nd unit I've received from Amazon for this product from this seller that showed previous signs of use when it arrived. The first one still had paper stuck in the shredder track and smelled a bit "smoky" so I returned that and requested a NEW unit since that is what I actually purchased. The replacement arrived today and while there were no signs of use in the actual "track" of the shredder, once I got it out of the box and opened it, there were several small bits of shredded paper in the basket, paper dust, and an area in the dust where you could tell something had previously lain. I'm not sure why they keep sending out USED equipment to people who are buying a NEW product, but I'm not exactly thrilled about that. However, we will be moving, and I really need to get a bunch of things shredded that have PMI, banking, and social security information on them, so since this unit looked pristine other than the inside of the basket, I just unboxed it, turned it on, and started using it. It works great. It is one of the quietest shredders I've ever used and I have ears as good as most dogs or children, so I detest loud noises. I was able to sit in front of it for 15 minutes and shred away without being bothered. As one other person mentioned, the credit card/CD shredder portion only shreds it into 3-4 small pieces but you can still put the card back together and read all the information. As such I just ran those through the regular paper track and they shredded into tiny little pieces just like the paper does. I love that the shredder comes with the wheels already on it and ready to plug in and go. I already have chain oil in the house, so I will be all set to lubricate the tracks as needed. I did not test out the reverse function yet, but I will do that next. The interior of the basket does get quite dusty, so I am using grocery bags as a liner. It shreds things so small that it will make great cat litter to use in our self-cleaning litter box between litter changes. The shredder itself is larger than I expected, but still small enough to fit under my desk so the office looks a little less cluttered, but it is also nice enough to have sitting out in plain sight. I shredded for a solid 15 minutes and the machine did not overheat, did not turn off, and did not smell "hot" at the end of that time. The basket is super easy to remove and replace. There's a smaller cup that goes inside the basket to catch the things you run through the credit card/CD slot, but since I won't be utilizing those I have repurposed it and moved it to the front exterior of the unit to throw staples, paperclips or binder clips in as I'm going through my piles of things to shred. That way I can reuse the clips again. I've heard you shouldn't shred window envelopes in these, but I removed the mail from the envelopes, shredded the paperwork, then put the envelope through after that and it shredded those just fine. I mean, if it can handle plastic cards and CDs, it should be able to handle a window envelope. The cats weren't sure what to make of the new monster that made noise in the office, but now that its off they're checking it out. I'll keep it unplugged until I need to use it just in case though. 2 people found this helpful
