5.0 out of 5 stars super sharp image ; long flex camera; very easy and intuitive to use I purchased this after reading the reviews and also because I needed a long camera flex scope. I had to travel to CT from NC to survey a trimaran that was interested in purchasing and did indeed purchase. I specifically needed to inspect the stainless chainplates that secure the mast shrouds. This was a racing rig and this securement is super critical and needs to be well inspected. Of course they were inaccessible expect in one had a camera endoscope type device, which I did. I hadn't even tested the Tesslong out before the flight but I did charge it up. I was super simple to use. The cable is indexed for proper orientation. Attach and turn it on and put it to work ! Super clear images well lit also ! I high recommend for any type of mechanical inspection. You will need a micro sd adapter card for a few dollars to view your saved photos on a computer. Plastic instrument doesn't seem to be made of high impact plastic or rubber coated plastic so I would handle it with care. The case is high impact plastic and the instrument is well protected in the case. Battery life seemed well within what I need for the days work. 19 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great endoscope, very much worth the money! Bought this for work because I was getting frustrated not being able to see what kind of blockages were in walls that prevented me from running cables. This thing definitely did the job. I was skeptical from looking at countless other models that were cheaper, or several other endoscopes that looked identical but were rebranded with other brand names. I decided to buy the bullet on this one, and I’m glad I did.Picture quality is excellent. It looks great, and gets the job done. I can actually make out what things are in the wall, which is even more helpful with the attached LED light at the end of the scope. Multiple brightness settings and quality settings make this a must buy for anyone who has trouble looking into tight/dark spaces.Recording on this device is also awesome. Being able to revisit past recordings is super handy, especially if you need to describe what you saw to others. The included memory card allows you to take plenty of pictures and videos as well. This product has been super helpful on the job, and saves tons of time and money. Well worth the price! 5.0 out of 5 stars How did I live without this? I bought this camera for one specific job on a car I was working on. My kids give me a hard time that I like to work on cars or home projects just to buy new tools. This may partly be true. I literally received this camera with the 16 foot probe within hours or placing the order on a Saturday and completed the task that evening. Since then I have used the camera at least six more times for different projects around the house. I have found items that roll behind furniture, I have inspected inside a wall before I installed a big screen TV, and I used it locate a drain line on the sunroof of my SUV. I have looked at these cameras before at Lowes or Home Depot and literally could not spend $300 on a camera with a three foot probe. I plan on using the camera this spring to inspect drain lines around the house. My neighbor has already borrowed it twice. I suggested this camera to a friend as a birthday gift for her husband. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars 90 degree camera view rocks I chose it for the two camera angle available. Very useful. Helps us to diagnose difficult-to-see corners in the engine bay.

5.0 out of 5 stars Paid for itself! This camera system paid for itself with just 2 business related uses.I purchased the 16' endoscope at first and then added the 3' lens for more versatility. The picture is crystal clear. The equipment is sturdy, light weight and professional looking.Customers were immediately impressed when they saw both the equipment and the images.Update: June 11, 2022 - just under two years since purchased, item has always been kept in the original foam filled storage box and is in pristine condition by all appearances, in fact, still has the protective plastic over the monitor screen. As of this morning unit has stopped working, will not power up. I used it just yesterday, battery indicator showed that it needed a charge, I placed it on the charger for about 1.5 hours last night, brought it out to show a client the inside of their chimney this morning and the unit will not power up at all... came home and placed it back on the charger, now the flashlight will turn on but still no monitor/camera function.Thankfully, I purchased the 3-year warranty and will be utilizing that for replacement or refund.Still say, when it works, it is a great tool...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to use. Saved me hours and money! I bought this endoscope inspection camera when trying to replace a vacuum line on the back side of a 2004 F-150 5.4 V8 motor. Anyone who has tried to do this knows that generally, this vacuum line cannot be seen at all from above or below the motor. The entire intake plenum would need to be removed OR the motor/transmission could be pulled from the truck. A dealership will charge you for hours of labor. When I received the Teslong inspection camera, I played with it for a few minutes to understand the features. No exaggeration, it took only about 10 minutes to locate and replace the Ford's vacuum line with this tool. I was able to worm my arm down behind the motor and, once I could see my fingers and the rubber vacuum elbow on the digital screen, I was able to maneuver the tube back into place on the motor. This saved so much time and money. WELL worth the purchase price. And now I know I can check out dryer vent tubes and anything else I wouldn't normally be able reach or get my eyes on. Very happy with this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Borescope/Endoscope for the Price I originally bought this borescope/endoscope for a specific home project, but I suspected it would be very useful for several other chores and projects around the house. I was definitely correct and very glad I paid the little bit extra for the 16.4' of cable. I have used it to look inside walls for evidence of moisture, insulation, and even rodents; to look down or through duct-work for air returns and vents to check cleanliness; to inspect the insides of water pipes to check for blockages; and to look for gaps in exterior seals to prevent cold air, moisture, insects and/or animals from finding their way into the house. The 16.4' cable is great, but the length of cable plus the handheld monitor make it hard to manage by yourself, so having someone to dedicated to feeding the cable and another to hold the monitor is best. The screen size is nice and large, the picture has always been clear (unless the camera is pressed up against something or something got stuck to the lens), and taking pictures and flipping between forward and side cameras is very intuitive. Slightly brighter LEDs would be nice, but the three levels of brightness definitely help for dark, recessed areas. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars It's really easy to use I remodel Homes and Restore old cars ,Trucks, and Tractors as far as homes go I sometimes need to look into a wall before cutting my way in. A small hole drilled in the wall is easier to repair than a big one. for that I use the 16 ft. camera. Just recently I had a call to look for where a bunch of bees were getting into an upper bed room. To my surpise and the home owner, the bees were there first. I could here them buzzing in the uuper part of the wall. The nest was actually between the ceiling and the attic. I drilled another hole in the ceiling about 12ft away from where i heard the buzzing and feed the camera into the joist space. WOW really WOW. I feed the camera in and along the plasterd ceiling I could only get in about 8 ft. the nest was 4 ft. long and had hundreds and hundreds of bees. We called in the exterminator. then I riped out the ceiling and the nest. I swear by this Endoscope..It's great for looking into small or hazard spaces. for automotive use I'd get a 4 ft. camera. picture is sharp and clear.. nice tool. 4 people found this helpful

3.0 out of 5 stars Works but not for my plumbing issues I was excited to get this to help me identify what keeps clogging up my kitchen sink as I'm tired of paying a plumber to do it 3-4 times a year. The camera is nice for the price but if you're looking for something for plumbing this isn't it (unless your plumbing is spotless and for the most part straight). While this unit may work great in other applications, for plumbing it was a dud for me. First problem is the cable is too soft to make it past the first curve in the pipe. Once it hits another curve in the pipe it curls back into itself and you have to start over. Also, the picture quality is great but in plumbing situations any food or grease it hits covers the camera so you have to pull it out, clean it and start over. The other issue is the tip gets caught on any crease or pipe lip since the tip of the camera is flat. Once it hits something it will fold into itself and you have to start over. Ultimately returned it since it didn't perform as described. 7 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Industrial Endoscope Very pleased with both the quality of construction and the quality of the images produced. As a serious DIYer I appreciate high quality tools. I put this endoscope in that category. During my 40+ years of experience I have learned it is typically worth the extra money to buy quality tools designed to do a specific job. Such tools typically operate with fewer problems, produce better results, are more durable, and are a pleasure to use, instead of being a source of frustration and regret one often has when buying inferior tools.I really like most everything about this unit.- The dual camera. Being able to see straight ahead and at 90 degrees, without having to use some sort of mirror attachment, is really helpful. And being able to switch between the two views without moving the probe is invaluable (obviously can’t do that if using a mirror attachment).- The semi-rigid cable. It is flexible, yet rigid, once bent to the desired shape. It retains its shape until you change it. It doesn’t flop around like many of the less expensive units do.- The high quality image produced by the camera and screen combination. The clarity is amazing and the details you can see is impressive. The images produced have been more than adequate for any inspection that I have done.- The adjustable lights built into the probe work well. They provide sufficient light for the camera to capture a clear image. In addition, being able to reduce the intensity of the light, at times, improves the image quality. The flashlight built into the hand-held unit is handy.- The simplicity and intuitiveness of the unit operation is welcomed. Since I don’t use the unit very often, being able to take it out of the case and immediately have it up and running providing images in a matter of minutes is great. Having a unit with more “bells and whistles” but one that I would have to refer to the instruction manual, to refresh my memory on how to use it, would be a real pain. Likewise, having to depend on establishing communication with a cell phone, and the inherent challenges that can come with the software on the cell phone recognizing and communicating with the camera, etc. is not a complication I need.- The case is very nice and appropriate for a professional/industrial piece of equipment such as this.Among other inspections performed, I was able to inspect my home’s HVAC ductwork to confirm the ducts were clean and free of any mold or mildew, saving hundreds of dollars by not hiring a specialty cleaning company to clean the ducts when they really didn’t need it. I cut diametrically opposed slits in a tennis ball and pushed the probe through the slits until the end of the probe was slightly protruding from the outside of one side of the ball. Then I was able to push the probe/tennis ball through the inside of the ductwork with the tennis ball keeping the probe about 1 ½ inch (i.e. radius of the tennis ball) off the surface of the ductwork. This technique worked well and allowed a thorough inspection to be performed. 107 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Not intended for use in curvy dirt ... My initial impression of the Teslong Inspection Camera is that it is a good quality product. The 5-inch screen displays a clear image of what’s straight ahead as well as on the side of the probe, and the 16-foot length reaches much farther than a standard inspection camera that comes with a 2 or 3-foot probe.I purchased this camera because I saw a groundhog burrowing under my garage and I wanted to use the camera to see if there are baby groundhogs under there before I set a trap to catch the one I saw and set it free a few miles from my property. The probe is sturdy and bendable. The advantage of this feature is also a liability. My garage is about 20-ft long, which wouldn’t present a problem for the 16-ft probe if the groundhog had dug the tunnel in a straight line. But after the first couple of feet from the entrance the burrow curves to the right. The probe can’t maneuver into the curve, and when I try to push it farther in, the tip (which contains the camera lens) gets shoved into the bottom or sides of the ground, causing the lens to be covered with dirt and making any image impossible to see.I am impressed with the quality of the screen image under the garage before it reaches the curve, so in that respect the camera works as intended. I just wish there was a way of maneuvering the probe around curves so that I can see more than the first couple of feet.I don’t regret purchasing the Teslong Inspection Camera, and I’m sure I will have occasion to use it in circumstances where the probe needs to be pushed in a long straight line, or through pvc pipe or other conduit.I will update my review if and when I use the camera in a space that utilizes more than the first couple of feet of the probe, or if I use it in a long stretch of conduit that contains curves. 11 people found this helpful

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, quality; cable 16.4' is unwieldy and hard to control Got this to inspect rim joists and various house crevices for water and termite damage. Most functions of the camera work well enough. There is one major issue, which is that the long, rigid cable is heavy and unwieldy, making it difficult to control the orientation of the camera. Most shots are at awkward angles and somewhat blurry. A 6 ft. cable option with some kind of clip-on "handle" would be much better for my purposes. So, overall somewhat meets expectations for home inspection activities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality for the price The large monitor and high quality of the image is awesome for discerning detail in tight spaces. Image is better than my coworkers much more expensive, smaller screened Snap ON. Durability is yet to be seen, but I'll update if anything unfortunate happens to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to inspect valves and pistons The media could not be loaded. I pulled a spark plug on my car to give a demo here. The endoscope goes through the plug hole and inspects the top of piston 1. The scope's diameter is small, a good size for working on cars. The autofocus and brightness work with you. Pulling the microSD card and loading on your computer is not hard and makes it easy to send videos to vehicle owners. The 5" screen is clear and bright so triaging can be done without having to load still shots or video to a computer. The controls make it easy to work the unit with one hand while manipulating the scope with the other. Good price point relative to other units of similar quality. I've recommended personally to friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the hardest to see & reach areas this is a MUST HAVE tool! 09 Dodge grand caravan, Crank sensor broke off in the block under rear exhaust closest to firewall NO way to see what I was working on otherwise then I bought this camera scope and had it out within a few hours best part was in the end a small part fell into the block and with the side camera I was able to run scope into block and look down to make sure it fell all the way down to the oil pan, It had so oil change is next! I would have never gotten it without being able to see my work in real time!I bought the shorter scope cable now too!Definitely worth the $$ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars It works! It’s not a $1000 tool, but it does what you need. I bought the one with the extra long inspection camera. I’ve used it to look behind walls, inside pipes, in engines, etc. as a DIY homeowner, I have been happily surprised with its capabilities. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, in wall (or) in line sewer lateral inspection camera. PROS: Picture quality excellent, Built in LED flashlight excellent, camera six LED lights three settings brilliant lighting capability for what you’re looking videotaping , 32 GB disc gives you plenty of room for video taping and still photos again the colorized picture screen is like looking at an LED television it’s fantastic. CONS: maneuverability of spun copper tubing he’s a little hard to maneuver once you get more than 3 feet inside a sewer line or an inner wall or whatever you’re televising it’s hard to turn in maneuver I would like it if it was a little bit more flexible it does a very good job I have the one that has the side camera on it also so I have a front camera and a side camera I would suggest getting the side camera feature, when using you have to be gentle with pushing it into the wall or down a sewer pipe the front glass covering over the LED lights and camera facing is very fragile and brakes very easily as I found out but the company when I called them without hesitation replaced my 16.5 foot Spohn copper Flexible video line with no hassle to me at all I told them what the problem was I put it down the sewer line the protective glass shield cracked and it looked as though you were looking to a kaleidoscope I had the new part within three days no questions asked...!!! Other than that these are fantastic little cameras for handheld operations one of the best I have ever seen for the price you can’t beat the price anywhere !!! 12 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Best multi-use tool to can own This tool is a must have not just for a mechanic. An HVAC service tech. A sewer repair tech but anyone who has to do inspections or look for problems in almost impossible places. I am a retired Diesel technician and Diesel and Automotive instructor at one of our local community colleges. In my profession they had small scopes with short cables and to some extent those were good but what if you needed just a foot more to let you be able to see what your problem was? And with this tool you can also switch over to look at the side ( say you were looking in a cylinder or the inside of an exhaust pipe ). I also used this to look in my home sewer to locate a blockage 11 feet away from where I started. And since I could see what the blockage was, years of soap and grease build up, I was able to unplug it with one of the attachments that comes with the kit. This tool is a must have for just about everyone. Looking in a roof gutter to see a blockage. Looking under the refrigerator to look for something you dropped. It literally has thousands of uses. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. You won't be sorry and you can't go wrong. The end has lights in it so being able to see things in dark places is a snap. The first time you unblock your sewer and didn't call a plumber it just paid for itself. If your unsure about your ability to use this or any other tool please call a professional. Your own safety comes first but for the rest of you DIYer's you won't know how you ever got along without it. John Wingert 7 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Addition to my Tool collection. This Endoscope saved me a lot of money the first time I used it. After a kitchen renovation job was completed, we discovered that there was a leaking waterline to the refrigerator as we turned on the supply line (although said line tested good before the walls were closed up). Water was pouring from the ceiling downstairs. We had no way of knowing exactly where the leak was within the walls that the line was run. I pulled out the refrigerator from its cavity as there were no tiles within that area. I then cut a 12" x 12" hole in the wall and put my Endoscope into action. The sturdiness of the flexible cable allowed me to send it through the wall cavity while watching everything on a perfect color screen. I found the leak 9' away which was caused by nails from affixing baseboard from an adjoining bathroom. I knew exactly where to open the wall to make the repairs, without having to remove a 10' section of cabinets, countertop & tiles which would have been very costly. To top that off I was able to see a socket that I left in there before we closed up the walls. I was able to retrieve it using the magnetic attachment that came with the kit. It was a win win situation for me. The dual lens & ring lights are magnificent. I definitely recommend this inspection camera to anyone in construction or any mechanical field. It's your eyes & hands in seeing & retrieving stuff in the impossible or hard to reach areas. As a matter of fact, I think every home should have one of these. It will be worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lives up to the hype This was recommended to me and I was skeptical but it is actually great. Looking down a cylinder, I can see with complete clarity. I don't have to wait for the lense to auto adjust brightness (some bore scopes I have to stick the camera in before I turn it on or the picture is too dark). This camera really is better than any I have used, ever. The dual camera is a great improvement over the reflective mirror attachment given with other bore scopes. I can't give a review on longevity or battery life but first impressions, it is amazing. I bought the 3.3ft. cable (Teslong Dual Lens Inspection Camera with Light, Digital Industrial Borescope, Video Endoscope, Scope Camera, 5" IPS Screen, Waterproof Flexible Probe, 1080p, Tool for Home, Pipe, Automotive (3.3ft)).

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy so Far I will have to say I am very happy so far. I am been wanting an inspection scope for some time and I have a condensation drain line issue that I am dealing with and pulled the trigger. It is allowing me to see areas that I previous could not and has been very usual so far. Now, I don't think it will bend through a 90 turn, but the side camera allowed me to view that segment.I think the quality is pretty amazing and the price is right. Not too cheap and not very expensive.I hope this will last for years and I can see myself using for many things. I actually already used it to look in the sump area of my aquarium to find seething that I had dropped in it. I found it and was able to retrieve - just a little bonus. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy for seeing inside of walls I have always wanted to get one of these to make my life easier and I finally decided to get one. I do a lot of wiring in finished houses and having this makes it so much easier. I use cable snakes to run the wires through but being able to see inside the wall makes it 10x easier! You can see all the obstacles and the best way through and what the wire could be getting caught on. The whole thing comes in a nice waterproof hard case. There are 4 LED light that are adjustable with the push of a button, it can be turned off or turned all the way up to be super bright. Having it on full the end does get hot, not enough to burn you but still somewhat hot. there is also a flashlight on the body of the unit. The image is 720p and picture clarity is excellent. The other end of the cable screws on for a secure connection. The cable is rigid, and you can bend it any which way you want. You can attach 3 different attachments; a hook, magnet and a mirror. The magnet is tiny but decently powerful to be able to pull back items. I do not really see the purpose of the mirror, I guess to see something on the side down a pipe or something. I do not know how you could measure with it and it's also a little difficult to see with it. I love the fact that you can record video and take pictures and that it comes with an 32GB micro sd card. It also comes with a USB cable to charge it but not a charger, which is fine because I have lots of USB chargers. It has a super easy to use interface. You can rotate the image around, so you do not have to twist the cable to get the image right. Overall, I shouldn't have waited to get me one of these, the possibilities are endless. 15 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Useful Tool The picture quality was great making it easy to see what you are looking at. I was worried that the camera would only see right in front of the lens but I could also see further out and the light was bright enough which was a big plus. The side view lens helped seeing to the side if needed while moving the probe forward. I bought this Endoscope camera to help me put in a light running electrical wires from ceiling to wall on a two story house. Cutting small holes in drywall and looking before drilling holes saved me as ABS piping, and wiring were in the wall and could of become a major job and added cost if I had drilled thru them. After using this tool I only cut where necessary with smaller holes in drywall which makes it easier to patch. One thing I noticed when inserting the probe into the wall you didn't know the rotation of the image you were looking at. I used tape and marked the tape with a line so when I inserted the probe into the wall I knew left was left and right was right. Very happy with the way this job turned out. I also used the Endoscope to look at the jets in my inground spa. I wanted to find out why some of the jets were not working so I wanted to remove them for cleanout if necessary. I wasn't sure how the jets were to be removed so being able to see inside the jet tube I could see that a plastic nut was there and could be unscrewed. Crazy how far back the jet were in the tube but knowing your not going to damage anything and again could be costly for the DIYer if you cannot see what your doing. This Endoscope is better than the one my buddy got and paid more for. Very happy and glad I got this item. It has already paid for itself. One person found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars It was really good while it was working It's a really good borescope. I bought this on January 2022 and it's August 8 now and it stopped turning on all together. It was having a hard time turning on for couple weeks and now it's completely dead. It served its purpose really well, used it a countless times. Never abused the device, standard automotive shop use. No fluids or nothing. For the price, you can't beat this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars For the cost, its a good deal, functional beyond expectations I took a risk and bought this scope despite the lack of reviews I felt were trustworthy, I figured if it was terrible, I would just return it. I generally am risk averse with purchases of this nature but the specs this scope had versus others of similar price from manufacturers I was much more familiar with pushed me to take the chance.I used it a couple times to investigate cavities within my walls while doing some repairs. It was helpful to be able to see within and avoid having to damage walls unnecessarily. A few observations:It is very easy and self explanatory to assemble and use quickly. It seems well enough made, however I still took care while handling it. I was a bit nervous from other reviews about the connections wearing out. I didn't have any problems but I am a little uncertain how it would handle everyday professional use and being left loose in a toolbag for instance. I could see some people finding it inconvenient to take it apart and store it in the carrying case if they used it frequently. At the same time, for the cost and the infrequency I plan to use it, this isn't the biggest concern for me.As I mentioned the screen is nice, but it is not capable of displaying the full 1 megapixel resolution that the camera captures since it is only a .5 megapixel screen. That said, it is still better than anything else I looked at in this price range, in some cases significantly. While I always would prefer more more resolution within the system, it was more than adequate for what i needed it for.My other observation may be more my own fault but I will include it as advice, but if I were to purchase again I would opt for the shorter cable, the 16.4 foot scope cable I found to be cumbersome to manage at times. I feel like the shorter cable would allow for more control. I found myself on occasion struggling to manage excess cable while trying to aim the end.Overall, I am please with this purchase and it did what I needed it to do, I went into it cautiously optimistic and walked away satisfied.Disclosure, I got a discount in exchange for providing a review, but my words describing my experience are my own. 11 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally worth the money I moved into an old apartment unit that was already renovated. To know what was happening in the walls, behind build in furniture and that kind of stuff, I needed an endoscope so as not to destroy the renovation. I have owned 2 cheaper units, a USB A type with rigid camera housing and USB C type that is not rigid. I believe they are .3 MP and worked well enough but the value that they brought me was huge, even with trash image quality, needing a laptop or a phone to use it, and the light that made those endoscopes pretty bad. Too much light and camera get blow out and if not enough, then you can't see anything. So I have been on the look to upgrade for awhile. And here I am...Teslong is exactly what I was looking for and even better. The light does not make the camera image worse to any extent. The built in display means that I do not have bring a laptop the location, which usually is dirty. The entire camera is rigid which means I have full control over the camera movement. The quality of the images are amazing. The camera is 5 MP vs cheap ones that are .3. And the best part, I didn't even know I needed it, is the side lens. Rather than needing to reposition the camera 90 degrees, I just click a button and BAM!!!And the software side of the product is great too. For the cheaper endoscopes I had to get 3rd party camera software on PC or use a phone app. They are pretty trash. Whereas here, I can take video and pictures on the unit itself. I can rotate the image on the unit for better viewing angle. It just works.Just grab the carrying case and you have all you need to use the endoscope.Love this product. As a heads up, make sure to get camera length that you today need or maybe need in the future. I wanted to buy 3.3ft camera for easier handling and those things are where most of the cost is. I still buy one at some point. I originally bought the 16.4ft one and it can get little annoying when using the camera for something short. 7 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Apprehensive? Let me ease your concerns. I'm sure some of you are apprehensive, like I was, about making a purchase of an inspection endoscope. I had no idea what I was looking for, or what features were important. I knew I needed a lighted camera that could reach tight spaces, primarily while working on my cars. For $150, the price is reasonable for an entry-level device. The LEDs are quite bright, and the ability to adjust the brightness is useful to keep the image from being washed out in confined areas. The image resolution isn't fabulous, especially if there is less than a half inch or so between the camera and the target. For a more expensive product, I'd expect a higher resolution/better range, but for this range it feels reasonable. The device does need a micro SD card and the battery is rechargeable with a battery life that has far exceeded the duration of any of the instances I've used it. The scope has held up to oily environments and washes up well with dawn and water. The screen/hand unit is NOT waterproof, but the scope length is plenty long to keep the unit safely away. The only real cons are the scope is a bit difficult to maneuver as it us just a rigid manual scope, and the LED lights on the end of the scope do get quite warm if used for extended periods.All-in-all, Its a good scope that does what I needed it to, and I'd definitely buy it again should the need for another budget inspection scope arise. 4.0 out of 5 stars Very useful, but possibly not robust enough I've found this inspection camera to be very useful, as a recent new homeowner. Its come in handy doing simple repairs on a couple appliances, inspecting hard-to-reach areas in my car's engine bay, and tracking down a hornet nest that was lurking in a crevice in my garage attic. But, after a little over a year of use, where I probably used it 6 or 7 times, the forward-facing LED light has died. This has made it less useful since I can only use the side camera unless I can provide other illumination wherever the scope head is located. So, a very useful tool, but after a little over a year of normal use, it is much less useful than when I bought it. I could by a replacement cable, but that's the most expensive component of this bundle (handheld display, case, and the camera line). 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful for home inspectors As a home inspector, my toolbox includes a variety of testing and measuring tools: screw drivers, nut drivers, framing square, concrete and wood moisture meters, temperaturehumidity meters, multi-meters, GFCI & AFCI testers, infrared and probe thermometers, binoculars and a couple of really nice digital cameras to document the appearance of the residence or structure. Two hands required for a thermal temperature picture, one holding a digital IR thermometer directed at the object while aligning the camera with my other hand to “capture” the reading works well enough; however, a lightweight IR camera attachment to my cell phone is quicker and gives my client a true visual representation of temperature variance.During a recent home inspection with the house temperature set at 75 and the exterior temperature 61 (picture 1), I felt a breeze several inches away from the chipped plaster above the receptacle and wanted to know more. Placing my anemometer meter at the opening, a 3 mph wind speed was recorded, the draft I felt several inches away. A wide view of the wall was provided by the Teslong IR camera that displayed a 9 degree wall temperature difference within 24” inch span (lack of or missing insulation). Removing the cover and receptacle (outlet), I was able to easily insert the NTS300 lens for a look behind the wall. As the pictures captured, there was no insulation directly behind the receptacle box, above (bent the lens cable upward) and below using the side view camera. The red, yellow, blue, green IR picture is the outside (fiber cement siding). The exterior outlet aligns with the cold spot to the right of the interior outlet and the blue in the upper right corner is the interior outlet. I did not attempt to locate the source of the air leakage, annotating in my report further evaluation by a licensed contractor for options and cost. The nine pictures provided by the Teslong NTS300 and IR camera provide a more comprehensive visual understanding than a mere draft from the outlet. What is the water bottle for?I drilled a hole on each end, passed the cable through secured with tape making a lens “stand off” for better observation looking in HVAC duct. With the rounded bottle, I’ve gone 14 feet without getting stuck. The IR camera comes in a protective small semi-hard case, easy to use with the ability to annotate comments directly onto each picture. The NTS300 scope is lightweight and easy to use. All functions (picture, video, light, etc.) controlled by your thumb, except for the side view camera switch which is at the base of the cable. Packaged in a protective hard plastic case, with two metal latches and top and bottom foam padding cut to fit the cable, camera, USB cable and three included lens attachment options is more than adequate. A small magnet, 90 degree mirror and hook to fish wire, or “I dropped my ring in the drain” recovery tool are nice additions.Providing two options for image transfer (one via the provided USB cable or by removing the mini SD card) gives the user flexibility. As a home inspector, having a “third eye” is nice to answer any lingering questions regarding temperature and other issues: wall cavities, HVAC units, duct, vents, smoke chamber, chimney…Adding the NTS300 Teslong infrared thermal camera attachment to my tool inventory will allow more accurate reporting. Well worth the investment. 8 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing How Often I Use the Camera One of those things that gets used all the time once you have an inspection camera in the house. Peeking behind an appliance, looking in a wall, looking down a drain, etc.Quality is good, picture is excellent, focus is fast.It comes with a set of attachments for hook/magnet/etc. You don't need to buy the Amazon recommended attachments because they are already included. 5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty impressed. It may have paid for itself already. My plumbing outfit is normally pretty competent but they charge $300 bucks for just about any visit and work they do. I had ** subtle ** leakage in a cramped area behind the tub in my bathroom that was dripping to the floor below. Plumber couldn't get to root cause. The camera showed me that our clawfoot tub has progressive corrosion around the underside of its drain causing leakage and that also, a nearly hidden pipe that goes up to the shower never had it's sealing ring tightened.I turn on the shower and this camera IMMEDIATELY shows the leak spurt out at a particular location - i.e. immediate cause & effect evidence. The picture is very clear. The ability to take pictures and even movies for what you find puts it over the top.* Comes with a decent case and a perfunctory owners manual.* Battery is replaceable.* I have been able to get things done without referring to the manual much. The ONLY thing that threw me off for a moment was 1) being unable to find the micro-USB port to begin charging (It's behind a skinny strip of rubber seal you can pull back) and 2) It took me a few minutes to realize that I didn't have to add a USB card as they were actually nice enough to provide a 32GB one.* The cord is pretty darn long and is very armored. Slight frustration: You'll spend most of your time adjusting and wrestling with the fiber optic cord/snake to get it just so. But that's life eh?SUMMARY: While this is my initial use, I can say that - at this point - I can recommend this product. It's one of those things where I don't envision using it but once a year but when I need it, it will come in very handy.EPILOGUE:I could have used this years ago while doing electrical work in our turn of the century older house (non standard studs) and also when I was mounting big screen TV. At that time, the way I had to gather info was circumstantial: pounding on wall, stud finder & drilling a hole or two and patching later. This device would have solved all that and saved me a lot of time. 65 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful Scope, Fair Price I have purchased two of the Teslong cameras. My original was given to our plumber, who didn't have something as small or handy in her kit -- and she stated that she hadn't come across a similar product that was as affordable in her line of work. Both of our Teslong cameras were easy to use and handy for a whole array of household stuff...we've used it to snake down drains, to view areas behind otherwise inaccessible walls or barriers, and to peek into crevices both inside & outside of the house. It's super durable, the camera is sufficient for general projects, and both the camera lens light and handle flashlight provide enough illumination for basic work. The camera is also rechargeable, and it comes equipped with a charger cord. Charging is fairly fast, and we haven't had the charge run out on us yet during any single project. There are a few limitations that you should know before you buy this product. The camera 'snake' is flexible...but only to a point. It will bend around some of the wider plumbing angles, but I doubt that you'd ever get it to smoothly snake all the way through your standard, winding sink trap. [It would probably require another bump-up in technology to allow for some remote camera guidance (and, of course, the price will rise accordingly).]I also wish that the camera light was a titch brighter. It's certainly bright enough for you to clearly view whatever object/area is directly in front of the lens, but even just a few added lumens would help improve the range of camera viewing in some spaces. That said - after I donated our first camera to our plumber, I went right back online to buy another. Give it a go if you're looking for a 101 endoscope tool. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Every House Needs One! When I purchased this, I intended to use it for a specific task. That task was using it to look down the cavities of walls between studs. I soon found out that it could be used for so many other things. There are often times when you are unable to see things in tight spaces. Either you cannot reach your head in to get a look or there is a physical obstruction that does not allow you access. ALL THOSE PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED WITH THE Teslong Inspection Camera!Upon opening the box you will find the camera and camera head attached to the flexible cable fit perfectly. There is enough padding inside that the camera can survive a drop in the unfortunate case it does happen.Attaching the cable to the handheld unit is simple. Be sure to look at the top of the cable which has a dot that will tell you where to line up the cable for insertion. Tighten the base like you would a coaxial cable and you are done.Power on the unit and you are ready to go! The functions are simple enough. You have picture options, video and both of these save to the SD card that is included. I find it easier to lay the handheld monitor on the floor and watch the screen while I work the cable into the area I need it. There is also a handy flashlight that you turn on from under the handheld monitor giving you more light if you need to peer into an area quickly. The camera head led light is adjustable also if you need to get a clear look at what you are looking at. You will definitely need this because the camera clarity is so clear that you may not know exactly what you are looking at but the led adjustment will help you.Video playback is available on the handheld monitor and videos play sound also.I never use it longer than 15 minutes so I cannot attest to the battery. I cannot imagine you would be needing to use this for extended periods of time. Overall, this is a handy item and if you remember you have it, you will remember to use it. This is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon in years and the price is simply unbeatable. 15 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny! Hugh Quality Tool! I liked everything about this tool. I've used it many times in the 3 months I've had it. Its been the make or break on many projects of mkne and made the projects 10x easier. If u work on vehicles, do your own home repairs ect you need this. This is an industrial grade tool imo. For the price I expected to be underwhelmed and at most satisfied with it. But I am more than satisfied and was very surprised with the quality snd durability of the tool. The only thing I would of done differently is I would have bought a shorter chord. I got the 10 or 15 foot cord and not once have I needed more than 3. All that extra cord is cumbersome and always in the way so I will be buying a 3 foot cord. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Scope This is an outstanding scope. I wish I had purchased this years ago for my DIY projects. It seems to be well made, and so far it has performed even better than expected.I bought it to help with some home renovation projects, such as inspecting the back side of equipment in a small space and running wires through the wall in a difficult layout. I have used it multiple times already, and would not have been able to complete the projects without it.I purchased the 16 foot cable, which can be unwieldy if the application seems better suited to a shorter cable. For smaller jobs I cut two strips of Velcro to keep about 10 feet coiled all the time and left the rest of the cable free to use for the job. You still have 16 feet of cable to deal with, but it stays under control all the time. This worked great for me to keep the cable organized.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful tool, good buy I bought this tool for a project where i needed to see behind a brick wall. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and its performance. I debated between this tool and some of the cheaper ones that use a smart phone as the screen. Ultimately, I opted to go with this one due to changing standards amongst smart phones.Pros:The screen is durable and bright, and the camera does a great job focusing as it needs to in low light environments. The tool itself is pretty easy to use. While it does have plenty of features, they are not difficult to understand or learn. The LEDs have variable settings, which is kind of nice, although you really only need "on" or "off."The camera quality seemed to be very good. I did not test its waterproof capabilities, but it's nice to know about them. The kit includes a storage case, which was a must for me.Cons:The price is a little higher than some other models out there, but I was unable to conduct a side by side comparison. The camera end itself could be a little smaller, but again, drilling a 3/8" hole was more than enough to get the camera through. What remains to be seen is how the tool holds up over time. I will update my review if anything changes. 19 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Much better than the wifi scopes that use an app. I borrowed a friend's endoscope before buying this one. The one I borrowed was one of those that have a wifi connection to your phone and you view the video on your phone. Frankly, it wasn't a good experience. The picture was very clear until you actually tried to use it in a tight space. Once in a tight space, it would have trouble focusing on anything close (which is going to be the case when using one of these). Everything became out of focus. Also the lighting on it often caused strong reflections exacerbating the focus problem. It wasn't a dirty lens. It was just poor focus. So I purchased this based on numerous recommendations. It performs considerably better despite not having a higher megapixel camera. The focus is much better. Lighting issues are gone. The extra orthogonal camera comes in very handy when trying to see around corners. All around a much better system.Still, this one doesn't have manual focus and thus is an issue when you get very close to objects in a drain pipe (say). But it's worked better that the less expensive wifi ones. All in all, I'm not sure if it's worth 2x - 3x as much as the other ones. But it does come with the monitor and a storage case. So you're paying for that too I suppose. I feel like it's the best option before jumping to the very expensive industrial options. 17 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Broken case I got the camera today and the case has broken lock buckle. Looks to me to have one led that is out on forward looking camera. But dose work good as I used it to look in side of my daughter engine. Took very nice pictures could see a blown head gasket with side camera, even got it to look at valves. Don’t know if I should return it for new one or keep it as the one led don’t see to be an issue right now. I have used this unit 5 times and two led light have quite working I’m not sure how long the others on the head will last. This is the second unit I have tried. Not sure how to get the LED’s replaced can’t get a reply from seller. I would like to know if it is what I call a throw away unit cost more to repair the to get new.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny! Pros:* Self-contained design, with no need to sort out an interface or app on a smartphone or tablet* I LOVE the two cameras—one facing out at the end, and one facing to the side at the end. This thing saved our butts in two different locations on a remodel.* Display is bright and clear* LED lamp at the camera end is bright and can flood a large areaCons:* I do wish the cable could rotate somehow. It's a pain to have to contort it to get it pointed in the right direction* Camera selection button on the cable connector seems like a hack rather than a clean, engineered integration with the overall product* Camera connector seems somewhat fragile compared to the super robust cable* Needs a wider focus range, and more ability to control focus* Needs a better way to get captured images onto another device. Currently uses a memory card.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for me! Purchased this scope to hunt down a water leak in our motorhome. The first scope I Bought was a Harbor Freightscope. What a piece of junk. You get what you pay for. I searched amazon and decided to give it a try. Reviews showed people really liked it. FYI, after my own research I found out this manufacture actually makes medial scopes also. The scope showed up in two days. That very weekend I tried it out. The unit was fairly easy to figure out. the picture was amazing and all the functions worked as they should. I went to work looking for that elusive water leak. I will say while snaking it through it does get tricky to figure out the orientation. After speaking to my son who is physician assistant he told me it is all practice on knowing your distance and orientation. Well I found the leak in 30 minutes in the middle of the coach behind a support. I would absolutely recommend this scope!!! My only recommendation would be if you have a few extra bucks is to order the short scope accessory end for the unit. While the unit functions perfect with the long one the shorter one comes in handy for smaller jobs like automotive work.

5.0 out of 5 stars just Amazing i didnt expect much out of this tool but after looking up the company they seem to be completely devoted to making these tools. they arent a cheap knock off company making theese to make a quick buck. and they excel at it.the camera is clear and can perfectly focus to see the inside of an engine cylinder and the side cam makes looking up at the valves a breezethe lights on each cam is also a nice touch and the different brightness levels is also supurbthe screen is a nice size and is good quality as well, its also not a dark screen and using it outside in the sunlight wasn't difficult to seethe unit itself is light but very sturdy, it fits my hand well, the tilting makes it ergonomic to hold and watch the screen. it even stands up by itself. even the light attached to the unit i thought was a gimmick but while working on my car i really did end up using it and liking that it was therethe camera wand is really flexible and super stiff too, it can quite easally hold itself up foe a good 5 or 6 feet before sagging.even the case itself is nice. the padded foam the locking case etc.overall i am extremely satisfied with this item. 11/10

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality inspection camera The media could not be loaded. I absolutely LOVE this camera. I've purchased this product to help me find an oil leak in a hard to see area on a diesel engine. This is a full featured unit with great menu’s that allow you to take photos and shoot/playback video. Both video and photos are saved to the SD card which is included. Video playback is available on the handheld monitor and with sound as well. The screen is positional which makes it very easy to setup in a manner that allow for hands free use while working. There is also a very useful and very bright light that you can turn on easily from the handheld unit. The camera head also has an adjustable led light to help get a clear image of what you are looking at and also makes working in dark areas exceptional. I found the camera clarity very clear and detailed so there is no question about what you are looking at and 6 level led brightness adjustment helps tremendously. I comes with rechargeable batteries which is easily replaceable. The camera is pretty small and great for getting into tight places. I comes with screw on attachments, magnet and hook which really adds to its usefulness. The auto focus works very, very which makes image quality outstanding. The second 1080p HD Lens on the side of the probe eliminates the need for a mirror attachment when looking inside of a pipe. Switching between cameras is as easy as a simple press of a button on the end of the cable. Add the picture rotation menu option and you have the perfect combination for excellent viewing angles. I have to say this thing performs well outside its competitors in its price range. 23 people found this helpful
