They held up just fine during the race and the zipped pockets were a big help. I wear a 32" waist and the Medium fit me near perfectly. One person found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely light weight, odd feeling fabric. These are just odd. They're comfortable but the fabric is kinda scratchy, it's almost like a stretchy windbreaker type jacket material. Not terribly well cut around the glutes but the stretchyness makes up for it. Wouldn't buy another pair, but also will totally wear/use these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shorts-wrinkle free These are so easy to wear all the time and appear clean and dressy casual. Lightweight and durable zippers. Very thin but not so stretchy like spandex. There IS flex and stretch though. Similar to a pair of pants with a 5 letter brand starting with T. Theirs are $90 though. Great shorts. Slightly frumpy but not meant to be tailored golf shorts. Never wrinkle though!

There’s a bunch of other similar style shorts as these on Amazon and they all pretty much sell for about the same price so really comes down to your preference in color and maybe logo. I happened to catch these on a sale so they were totally worth it. The fit on me is just right and the fabric quality appears decent enough to hold up for many uses. Btw i use these primarily for tennis and the pockets are just large enough to fit a tennis ball.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like them, but they are not perfect. They look very nice and fit well. I ordered large and I am 6'1" and 215. The Black with Red is actually Black with orange. Not even close to red. The pockets are mesh which is good for wade fishing and drying. They are very smooth surfaced sorta like nylon, but it says Polyester. 5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable, lightweight and stylish! I like to hike in lightweight/elastic type shorts for free movement. These are very comfortable, cooling, and the pockets are deep enough for your phone. Did I mention that the pockets have zippers as well? That is a huge plus to keep your keys, phone, etc. from falling out during a strenuous hike of run.I wash them in laundry bags to protect against snagging on other clothing, and they have been holding up to multiple washes very well. The material is very comfortable, also easy to wash stains out of. I will purchase these again in the future when I need them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, fit, comfort and durability - Great shorts! First off, I like the look of these, simple but nice design. More than that, being 6', 237.5 lbs as of this morning (down from 280 in the past 6 months), size XXL fits very comfortably. The elastic waistband is extremely comfortable. I like the drawstring too, so as I continue my journey down to maybe around 200 lbs. and these become more loose, I can tie the drawstring. I was so happy with how these fit when I got my first pair that I immediately ordered another and after about 3 months (both pairs holding up beautifully after numerous washes with cold water and tumble dry on low, no issues) I ordered a third pair in the light grey (my first 2 pairs both being black). Personally, I like the little style/color pop that the strings attached to the side and rear pocket zippers add, so I've left those on but I walk 5+ miles a day in these shorts and as my hands swing down past the pockets/strings, they always bang into them which can be slightly annoying but truthfully, I've gotten pretty used to that and don't find it to be a big deal; I could just take the strings off to remedy this issue but again, I like the bright orange color pop they add. They are also very lightweight, they have a nice little bit of stretch to them, they're not noisy when the material rubs against itself and they wick moisture away nicely. The side pockets are plenty deep for my iPhone X, not too deep, not too shallow in my opinion. The back pocket is of course nice too for my wallet. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with these shorts. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great shorts for exercising I keep my iPhone with me when I go to the gym because I use it to track my activity. I put it in the side picket of my gym shorts. This created 2 problems- It got in the way on certain exercises and slipped out of my pocket on some others. A few times I didn't even realize it fell out.I looked around in various retail stores to find gym shorts with zippered side and back pockets. I found none in the stores. I checked here on Amazon and I found this. These shorts are perfect for my purpose. They are very reasonably priced and come in a number of great colors. I like them so much that I bought two more pair. I will only wear these type of shorts when I am at the gym, taking walks or riding my bike.

I’ve had my phone, wallet, and keys all drop out of my pockets at the gym with other shorts,5 and that’s no longer a worry. Out of frustration, I purchased this gym shorts with multiple zipper pockets to carry all my valuables with me while working out.I am not tall but I grew up wearing long and baggy pants. That habit stuck with me. To this day, I still prefer longer and baggier clothing. This is why I am not a fan of short shorts.This gym shorts has 7” inseam. Quick search on Amazon appears shorts with 7” inseam is everywhere. Maybe that’s what’s popular now. Maybe short shorts are the trendy thing these days, but it's not for me. I still like gym shorts, especially ones with 11 inches inseam similar to basketball shorts, better.The two front pockets are decently sized, but a 6.8” screen smartphone like mine does not fit.The zippers are good, they do their job well.The material is decently comfortable, although it reminds me of swimming trunks.This is a good gym shorts. But if I had a chance to actually tried it on beforehand I would not have bought it. However, if short shorts are your thing, then this is perfect for you!And remember, don’t put valuables inside any publicly shared lockers! One person found this helpful
