1.0 out of 5 stars Exhaust, Stove, Furnace and Fireplace couldn’t make this react The media could not be loaded. This is dangerous. It does not work. I held this behind the exhaust pipe of my car (yes, I’ve read everything regarding why that is not the most reliable method for testing a unit), above the stove burner spewing out gas as it was not lit, above a raging fire…nothing. It didn’t register anything despite being on and fully charged. I bought two of these and convinced my family members to get them. The reviews hyped this product up, but I’m wondering if anyone tested them. I’m a worry-wort over CO and have tried a bunch of products as we use Air BnBs. Every single one of them has reacted to being held behind the exhaust pipe of my car. This was the first unit that couldn’t detect CO coming from my exhaust pipe, stove, fire place, etc. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little device to have handy I take this when I travel and find it to be a handy device to keep around to tell the temperature. I'm not 100% sure that the humidity readings are accurate, but it is likely very close. The battery life isn't terrible, just have to remember to have a cord handy to charge it every few days. I like that it is more compact than some of the other detectors out there and easier to pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Well Built, Sturdy CO Detector TL;DR - This is a great device, solidly constructed and quite rugged. It has excellent battery life and provides not only carbon monoxide monitoring, but also temperature and humdity as well. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who needs a resiliant, portable CO detector.The GoodPeople really tend to under-estimate the need for a CO detector in spite of the fact that CO is a known, silent killer. As a pilot of small aircraft, a potential CO leak in the cabin is an emergency situation that we train to recognize. I keep this device in my flight bag as part of my regular gear. With the attached clip, I can hang it from the yoke near the heating vents (the most likely source if there were a CO leak), and the rugged design of this device endures the bouncing around when I encounter turbulance. The battery life seems to be as advertised, althought the first time I charged it, it took several hours for it to finally reach 100%.The BadThe only bad thing I have to say about this CO detector is that, it has a magnet built into the case, but the magnet is too weak to actually hold the detector to anything. The only thing the magnet has done is caused me to drop the detector a couple of times and I go to pick it up by the lanyard, and the unexpected resistance of it trying to hold onto a metal surface caused it to slip and fall. However, I am happy to say that the few times I have dropped it onto a hard surface, it has shown zero signs of damage from those falls.The UglyIt's a bit bulky, but that is to be expected for something that is ruggedized, which this seems to be. I wouldn't have a second thought about tossing this into a camping bag that will, in turn, be tossed around or thrown on the ground. 7 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact travel size is great Nice and compact to use for travel. The display is easy to read. Pop in batteries and you are good to go. If not used frequently, I would suggest storing the batteries outside the detector but this could be placed on top of your fridge when not traveling, or any room to work as well. The click chain makes for a convenient way to hang in places. I might recommend a magnetic back to allow it to stick to surfaces.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, but... (prove me wrong) I have a known door seal leak just about the exhaust pipe in my airplane. Upon start up, sitting to warm up the engine and configure the instruments, the device quickly notifies me with a CO reading heading up. When the plane starts moving and the exhaust skips past the door, the CO drops. So, I LOVE this device.But... I'm not convinced turning it OFF really does so. After using for about 3 hours and the next flight 5 was days later, the battery was dead. So, my process now is to always charge it just before using - when I remember to do it in time. 3 people found this helpful

I have a different type of travel carbon monoxide detector and I believe this one is better- smaller and the ability to recharge and turn on/off. I will probably end up buying this type for me, as well. Easy to read- know the temp, humidity, charge level, and co2 detection. Definitely worth throwing in your bag on any trip for co2 detection and peace of mind. Wish it came with travel bag to store with cord, but thats all it’s lacking. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made, great product This CO detector feels and looks like a well made device.The screen is large and easy to read and the functions work well.To test it, I put it in my garage with the door down and ran my car. After about 5 minutes the CO reading was 14 ppm (I attached a photo at this reading). The warning alarm sounds at 25ppm, but I didn't want to go that far so I could not test that.You can adjust the warning level, but it can't go below 25ppm.This is small with a nice lanyard to hang it from since CO accumulates up high at first.It is great for my camper or anytime I am staying somewhere where I worry about CO levels.I plan on taking it on my next trip overseas just in case.This is a really good device for the price.I 2 people found this helpful

The sensors are very sensitive, I've compared the readings from various other devices in my house to this one, and everything seems to match. Humidity, CO, and Temp. I love having this for my travel bag, and now I don't have to worry about sleeping in cabins, or Airbnb's. I have read many dismaying stories of families running into trouble with CO poisoning while traveling. This little sensor is such a great piece of mind. I also like that it charges with USB-C, so I don't have to pack an additional proprietary charger. This is a "always in my bag" device now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very portable, handy when traveling We do a lot of traveling, and whenever we stay in an older hotel room my wife is regularly concerned about carbon monoxide levels (thank you, 60 Minutes!). When I saw this Portable Carbon Monoxide Detector, I snapped it up to try to ease her worries. My impressions:- This is one elegant meter! The shape and color is pleasing, the display is sharp and easy to read, and the controls (the one button, that is) are intuitive. The CO reading seems sensitive enough (at least with the car running in a closed garage), and as a bonus, the temperature and humidity are monitored, and appear accurate.- The temperature defaults to Fahrenheit! For our overseas friends it's an inconvenience, but for the U.S. it's great that I don't have to figure out how to convert, like I do for many of my other devices.- The customizable alarms are nice, as are the warning levels (a illuminated circle with green, yellow, or red). You can easily see at a glance if there is any reason for concern.In summary, this is a great little CO monitor that perfect for travelers, has a few additional features and delivers everything it claims to. 5.0 out of 5 stars Preparation, Safety, & Prevention are KEY! I nabbed this as part of being prepared in the event of power outages and/or no available fuel in winter. If need be, I will use this in the smaller room of my home with a sterno burner heat stove that radiates heat to stay warm. I can also use it to cook with sterno in the kitchen. Even though the sterno I bought is rated 'safe' for indoor use, this CO unit gives me greater peace of mind. There's no need to take chances.Originally, I was looking at purchasing an indoor butane cooking stove, but they state to crack a window open for safe usage due to the gas odor. Not so easily done where I live, so I opted not to get it.During winter, the windows are sealed shut & cannot be opened due to the frigid cold outside temps. So this fantastic CO protector is perfect to keep us safe for indoor use with these types of emergency appliances. This small unit is packed with lots of useful features and well worth the price for its versatility of uses.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality! We're traveling soon and will be staying at an AirBnB in a foreign country. Since I know nothing about the accommodations other than what I saw on-line, I do want to make sure we're safe while staying there. I've heard the news reports of whole families succumbing to carbon monoxide gas while staying at vacation properties. It can come from any gas appliances and fireplaces, wood fires, car exhausts, etc. While I'm sure this is a rare occurance, it certainly is tragic, terrifying and avoidable with this little gadget. I opened up the box and it had enough juice to turn on immediately. I charged it fully with the included cord (brick not included). All you have to do is power it up and it starts doing it's thing. The display is very easy to read. I can't speak to how loud the alarm is because thankfully, the readings in my house are not high enough to set it off. I'm sure there is some way to test it, although I have not. The size is perfect for tossing into your luggage and taking with you wherever you travel. If this little device saves your life and the lives of your loved ones, the value is priceless!

This device is easily charged by a USB cable. The carbon monoxide detector has a great battery life and can be used for hours without being plugged in. I really like how easy the screen is to read, it makes understanding the detections details easy to understand. I also like that the displays useful information such as temperature and humidity. It is also nice that it comes with a clip to easily carry or hang on the wall.

The concentration of dangerous CO gas in the air is calculated by measuring the current generated by the chemical reaction between the sensor and CO gas. Our high-precision sensor can detect even low concentrations of CO gas in the air.2. Intuitive Warning: The default standard alarm concentration for our product is 50PPM. In special environments, it can be adjusted manually, but we recommend being cautious with the settings. The three-stage system of color flashing and sound alarm will alert you as soon as danger approaches. For specific settings and usage instructions, please refer to the product manual.

4.0 out of 5 stars portable CO2 detector It's a small compact CO2 detector, slightly smaller than a hockey puck. It's got ridges to easily hold and you can attach a clip to it. The screen and colors are bright and numbers are large. Depending on usage, the battery life varies. I left it on to drain the battery and it'll last a day and half. The buttons aren't obvious labeled and took a while to remember the functions and how many taps. A good tool to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great display and easy to use The display of this makes it super easy to use- it gives the measurement in large numbers along with a color-coded graph. The alarm can be set to alert you at whatever level you choose, as well. It's not small, and it has some heft to it- but it is portable and I will use it in my garage when using a diesel heater to make sure nothing goes wrong with my heating system. This would be perfect for use in an RV, where they use diesel or propane heaters for an enclosed area.Quality seems top notch, and I'm surprised at how inexpensive it is. Would recommend. My Pildegro Portable Carbon Monoxide Detector will not charge completely and the battery life is very poor. I don't get 120 hours. It's about 36. I like that it also displays temp and humidity as well as the ppm of CO detected. The device seems to hold a charge well and also has a usb c port for quick recharging when needed. The display is very crisp and bright so it is easy to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Potentially a life saver I am rating this CO2 detector a 5 because of it's potential value. My husband has a hunting camper and it does not contain smoke or CO2 detectors. He does have a propane hook up for cooking and heat. He has never had a problem but it only takes one time. I ordered this for him as a preventative. The features seem to be beneficial and if prevents even one incident it is well worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great meter We have a Woodstove in our huge 23 foot tent, and I wanted a way just to make sure we wouldn't have any carbon monoxide issues. This works great. I've had it running for 2 days and it's still showing full battery. I did test it by placing it near my car exhaust and it registered very quickly and started beeping and flashing red. It cleared fairly quickly when getting it back into fresh air. I've used a household strike kidde meter for years, but it's quite a bit larger and it doesn't have a way to mount it in a tent, whereas this comes with a lanyard, so it hangs easily in a tent or other portable situations. 5.0 out of 5 stars Handy, Sound of Mind I get worried about CO levels because last year we had a gas leak. It’s nice to have a detector especially when outside barbecuing. Or something to help monitor when we have the chimney on. Make sure everything is ventilated now that there’s kids in the house. It is charged via usb c. It is easy to use and setup. The alert and reader will not read numbers unless it starts approaching the yellow or red. But it will flash green to demonstrate that CO is detected. The temperature reading is fairly accurate and can be shown in Celsius and Fahrenheit. I literally just stuck it to my fridge. Charge it during day leave on at night. But also you can leave it connected to power and let it chill. Also it does not come with a power cube. Overall really happy with this purchase. Easy to use, 3 functions and easy to program. Definitely a setup, turn on and forget sort of device. Also I set it up to 75-125ppm for suggested indoor use. One person found this helpful
