My family and I love the games however the remotes(both) stopped working within 2 weeks of arrival. Hopefully it can be as simple as, "let us send you 2 new remotes", but not sure yet as it's Thanksgiving today so I'll be waiting for tomorrow to find out. 2 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Nearly Hackable After careful consideration, I opted to buy this one because it was one of few that had an external SD and HDMI output. I tried to “break” the system, and it appears to be a generic “Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) on a card” (NOAC). I mention this because it does boot Without the SD card in and defaults to a ROM (mine was a hack of an F22 simulator game).I further tore into the SD card and noticed the .zfc files which are basically Back4Win zipped that hold the .nes rom and a thumbnail for the boxart on the display. This ONLY applies to the 1st five directories and not the “User” folder. You CAN dump games into any of these directories and they will play fine.HUGE shoutout to this seller for including a “save” directory in each folder. Without this, you will get an error when trying to use the save option in the library since it will look for this link.Aside from this, the SD card is more than large enough to load every rom and their hack out there.Lastly, I was able to mess with the folderconfig.ini file to alter the names of directories and the list colors when selecting a game (this is in ARGB Hex code not RGBA).When messing in this file, make sure the directory is named the same or the system will crash because it will not find it. I had crashed it countless times without issue when I adjusted the file/folders.I was wondering what the compiler was because I was trying to create a “search” option on the main screen or at least change/add/remove the folders shown and maybe even change the background and icons.Bottom line: if you want a plug and play, this is perfect for the price, and I marked it down for the very short (4 foot) cables. 5.0 out of 5 stars This is an amazing little unit. I was looking for a retro system and read many reviews on several devices. After much debating and reading the review by Eirick Skywalker I settled on this. Let me say this was a very good decision. My mother whose near 80 loves this. Her and my father used to play Burger Time endlessly in their free time. Now she is back to playing and enjoying the game though without my father. I’d highly recommend this system to anyone looking for the 80’s. I played it a whopping 15 minutes and never experienced any issue even using 2 extensions on a single controller to get the reach needed for mom to play. She’s been playing and enjoying the game with no issues either. Just be attentive and order the extension cables as the cables with the unit are rather short. I’d recommend 2 sets one set for each controller. Now the game console itself is small and in a good way, it takes up no room literally it’s about 6 inches wide and long and 3 inch tall. Perfect for a non cluttered look, except the extension cables which who cares about that minor issue, its the 80’s. The controller itself is a bit small, but very responsive. It’d be an easy 10 star item if the controller was just a bit bigger. Hats off to the designer for bringing the 80’s back in a very positive way. As it’s been used now for about 40 hours, I have not had the have to mash all buttons syndrome to get to any of the menus. Nor have I have seen any game listed more than once as others claimed. They are single copies and placed in order of action, puzzle, and such, arranged nice and neat. I ponder on a few reviews if they bought the item from another seller mixing that up with this unit? Or if there was an older unit with those issues, as this one does not have any that they claimed. 25 people found this helpful

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing While this game box has hundreds ofoptions most of them I've never even heard of and the ones I have (with different mashes cuz they're knock offs, of course) are barely playable. Pac Man 2 " Ms PacMan like" is the best IMHO, but even so the controls are slow to respond and half the time it didn't turn when you direct it to.There version of Super Mario Bros is so pathetic it's not even worth playing. (Can't even go backwards on the screen for example) and again, the control isn't very responsive.I'll be returning this whole thing but thought I'd warn others to save your money. It makes me miss Atari or early Nintendo games, but does not even remotely (pun intended) scratch the itch to play them again! 15 people found this helpful

Has lots of games although some of the games have typos In the names which is kind of funny but the games are good. Lots of old school games. Very few games that aren’t included. I like that it has room on the hard drive to add stuff. Don’t like that the game cord is so short though. Had to buy extension so it could reach across to the bed. Sometimes the controllers lag a little which I don’t love but I find it only happens occasionally. (This is before I bought the extender so I know it’s not bc of that). Great set. She was super excited about all the games on here and couldn't wait to dive in and start playing - in fact, the only ones more excited were her mom and dad and I, since these are the games WE grew up playing. We had a great time that afternoon showing her all of our favorite games from our childhood.Games are organized into categories: shooting games, puzzle games, etc. It would be nice if it came with a printed list of games, but they are in alphabetical order under each category so games are pretty easy to find. And while I haven't looked at the entire roster of games on here, you're not going to find each game repeated 100 times like you will with the ones that advertise "100,000 games." The controllers seem sturdy enough, and it's super easy to hook up. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best Mini NES! Inside the box; One mini Nintendo console. 1 HDMI hookup cable. 1 Micro USB power supply (USA plug). 2 Controllers (9 pin). 1 Micro SD card (256MB). And 1 Manual (No Games List.)There is 44.2MB free of 239MB on the Micro SD card. The 7 folders within the card are listed as; Action, Puzzle, Racing, Resources, Roms, Shoot, and Sport. Each folder has a save folder inside, excluding the Resources folder. All of the games are ZFC files, except for the ones in the Roms folder, which is where you can add more games. So, if you have a desktop full of .NES files like me, you can add those here. Just make sure you have enough available space on the TF card before doing so. If your PC doesn't have a TF (SD) card reader, you can pick up a cheap card reader on Amazon for about $8 dollars. I used a Uni USB C Memory Card Reader Adapter that Supports SD/Micro SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC, which is about $15, but I had that lying around for my phone.To save your game, simply hit the Start and Select button at the same time on your controller. This will bring up a menu where you can save games, load saved games, quit the game, adjust your screen resolution, and change the system from NTSC to PAL. The reset button on the console will take you back to the folder you were previously in.All games are listed by category and are in alphabetical order. You can use the left/right button on the D-Pad to quickly sift through the games to find what you want. I haven't seen any repeat games on the console, but there are some buggy ones. EG; Increased music speed in Super Mario games, and clipping in a few others, but they are still very playable, and the music speed can be fixed by simply adding your own ROM of the same game. At least, for me, it was fixed. By the way, I used No-Intro .NES games. You can find them easily with Google search.All in all, this is a nice little system that brings back great memories. It has almost every game you are looking for, and if it doesn't, you can add them! Not to mention, you can save your game progress, even for the ones you added. Oh, and if the cords for the controller and HDMI hookup are a tad short for your liking, you can buy extensions.Over all, I highly recommend this item if you are looking for something similar to the NES that has TF (SD card) support, save game functions, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. A replacement would cost $150 or more. I was skeptical of this $60 clone that featured 600+ games, but decided to take a chance. I could not be more glad that I did.So far I have found the game play to be exactlky the same as the original console offered. What else could you want?I have not tried all the games (and never will) but my five-year old grandson is in for a lot more vintage game play, something he sorelly missed when our old console broke.One small surprise, which did not make any difference to me, as that the console physically resembles the origian, but that is only cosmetic. The console is less than half the size of the original. There are noticeable differences. I don’t suppose I would expect much for the price except for the ability to play some of my old favorites…but overall the housing was very thin, cheap plastic. And I just cannot believe how good this little thing is. I'm literally blown away. First off it is really well made does not feel cheap at all. The box it came is was mint. I plugged it into my Samsung 65inch TV expecting the picture to be horrible. But man was I wrong....it looks fantastic!! The sound is just perfect and colors are spot on bright and clear. The interface is not great but it works just fine. It even lets you save games and change screen settings to fit modern TV's. I played all the more popular games... Zelda, punch out,all 3 Mario bros, section z , Castlevania, dig dug.ect. and they all played perfect. The controllers are actually not bad almost as good as the original nes and the top buttons are turbos. I'm extremely happy that I pulled the trigger on this. We treat them with extreme gentleness and we only play about an hour per week and still we’ve gone through four of them in about a year. I would recommend a different system to others. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to play my favorite games again (still got it by the way) as well as share with my daughter. So cool … I love the save game feature so I can pick up where I left off. Works well, got the extenders for the controllers, perfect length! The controller when playing may be hard to move but not to a degree in where u can’t play or enjoy. I’d highly recommend and can’t wait to play with my siblings . My one TINY complaint would be the time portal that opened up in my living room that, the second I touched, trapped me in the late August of 1988...I was stuck there for a really really gnarly long time, and after an intense, freakazoid adventure which spanned MONTHS, I finally found a coven of basement wizards who where experimenting with a radical combination of strange plants, thick bad-tasting smoke, and Dungeons & Dragons LARP who, using these means, managed to get me back to my own time, here in the 2020's. All of that was amazing, 5 star experience, but here's the thing; I was erroneously sent two years past the time I touched the portal. My family have all moved on, believing me to be an imposter and a liar. My mother will not see me and suspects my wife for my disappearance. My house now belongs to a family of 4, and they seem so nice that I can't even bring myself to ask for a room. LUCKILY, they had preserved this unit in a game box for their children, and were willing to trade it to me for some he-man figurines I had picked up. All in all, this unit has everything you are hoping it will have, though some of it is misspelled, but big whoop you can fix it on the old IBM Desktop Computer. ;) 21 people found this helpful

Some of the games that either weren’t originally Nintendo can be pretty lame. My kids actually prefer playing this system than their Xbox one. Our one complaint is that we have yet to find a game where the 2 player option functions. He has over a dozen he plays daily including a few that he used to play. A big plus was that it had HDMI output format (doesn't improve game resolution). 4.0 out of 5 stars Better than buying the actual console on ebay Bought an original NES awhile back on eBay (because all us 40 something adults sold theirs in a garage sale, right?!) and it worked for a few months before dying, not a surprise, but also a waste of money. Then my husband discovered this emulator. Totally awesome! Comes with every obscure game we all played as kids. My own kids initially thought this was the weirdest thing ever but now they’re hooked. All three Mario Bros, Contra, and Zelda are clearly must haves, but I was thrilled to discover they also have Bubble Bobble, Joust, and BURGER TIME!!! The only negatives I’ve found are the same ones others complain about: the controller cords are too short and the path to get back to the main game list page is a bit annoying. My kids concluded that smashing all the buttons at the same time will get you back to the home page so I guess that’s an option LOL. 21 people found this helpful

It is plug and play right out of the box. No repeat or duplicate games. It has many games I had forgotten about that I was able to enjoy again. The save game feature is a lifesaver for games like Contra and Battletoads that are notorious for their difficulty to beat. I recommend the controller extenders. The controllers are definitely lower quality than the more responsive and better constructed NES paddles but this is pretty dang close overall. It comes down to how much you want to pay for your hit of Nostalgia and Nintendo is clearly raking customers over the coals while these guys offer a great value. While admittedly I enjoy playing it with him, it's got over 600 games, and a lot of my favorites when I was growing up. It's nice because I'm not a gamer and I don't really want my son to become one and so just having something simple and clean is great. He's young enough to where he doesn't mind that it's 8 bit haha! But there were a few gems here and there that in my opinion make it worth the money if you want a cheap way to relive the bygone era of video games.Just understand what you are buying. About the size of my hand and fits nicely in a drawer.Most of the games are exactly what you remember. Others are a bit downgraded such as Street Fighter. Even spotted lots of my favorites, but my problem with this is that the characters tend to jump on their own making it difficult to play. I would move and all the character would do is jump and I'm constantly getting hit. Hardly any control of it. It even jumps in place without me pushing any buttons. Unlike every other company who offers virtually no games, hits console comes PACKED with every title I could possibly think of. 3.0 out of 5 stars Reaction time on controller slow This isn’t a really good product. The reaction time on the controllers are too slow to actually play the games. Also, the cords for the controllers are so short that you need to stand at the tv to play it. 2 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Memory Archive Overload! The memories pouring out from my archive files is in overload mode! There are so many games. I am instantly taken back to my childhood playing so many of these games. Clear picture (as clear as can be given most of the games are from the 80s and 90s). 5.0 out of 5 stars It's like a time machine to 1989 I've only had this a few hours but playing it is like entering a time machine to my childhood. It has all the games I loved growing up, like Paperboy, Mario Brothers, Excite Bike and Pacman. It has other games I missed out on years ago, so I look forward to beating them now.I wasn't sure what to expect but thought it was worth trying based on the reviews and price. I am really happy I did.I think the only thing that could be improved is making the controllers wireless but I suppose that would take away from the authentic 80s charm.Now, I'm about to waste my whole weekend trying to beat King Koopa.
