5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Phne
I'll keep this brief. It's a great phone at $399 brand new. It's snappy, loud speakers, incredibly fast charging, more durable than most phones, excellent security features, good reception, and feels good in the hand. Some knock on the camera, but it's definitely as good as my last phone. I was either going to buy an older refurbished or used phone, chose this and no regrets. Should last for a few years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best one yet
I've been using Motorola for the past couple phones and this one was a perfect balance stat-wise and price-wise.With that being said, I am super happy with this phone. It is very fast, gets unbelievable signal and the 5g+ is faster than my home wifi. The battery last about a day (+/-) with pretty solid use and it charges so fast with the 68w charger that even if it doesn't last as long as a 5000mah battery it doesn't matter much because I can go from 30% -85% in about 15 mins!!There are many other features that I love but I want to keep this pretty short. Chipset is very good and packed with features. Being waterproof is a nice plus. The screen is amazing anf the size is perfect for me. I just love it and I can normally always find something I don't like about a phone but so far I haven't with the Motorola Edge 2023!One thing to note is that it is dual sim but one has to be an e-sim and the other physical because it will only hold one physical sim. This phone at $350 is an absolute steal.....get it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great phone to upgrade to
Upgraded from the Moto G Power 2023. Compared to that phone, it's well worth the upgrade. Phone is much faster, much more attractive screen and has a much quicker camera. It's still a Motorola camera, so if you're looking for amazing pictures, stick with the Pixel or a Galaxy. But if you just take a couple photos here and there and just use the camera for things like Snapchat, this phone is more than capable and much better than my previous phone. Really enjoy the subtle curve of the screen. Probably the only negative is that it has a smaller battery as compared to the Power, which is expected. I'm definitely more of a power user and can get this phone to die within a day, but with the quick charger or just having a wireless charger on ur desk or car to give it a quick boost, it'll be more than capable of lasting the whole day. Do I wish I went with the Edge Plus? Sometimes? But I dont regret this purchase for the price and is still a huge upgrade as compared to the G series of Motorola phones

5.0 out of 5 stars Best phone under $1000
I very, very rarely do any reviews, but this phone is great and I want to talk about it! I go through a lot of phones: I get bored and trade in or buy a new one fairly frequently. This phone has surpassed every single one of my expectations and I imagine I will stick with this one for much longer than I typically do. Here's a quick rundown of why this phone is the best phone under $1000 dollars right now (and an all time favorite of mine) in no particular order:1. Motorola has the BEST software on the market. I prefer it over stock Android due to the few additional features that MyUX (Motorola's software) brings that really make this phone a great experience.2. The battery is fantastic. Even with relatively heavy use, (streaming 1080p video, playing graphically intensive games, etc) I end the day with 30% battery, and the charging is VERY fast.3. The screen is beautiful. The 165hz high-refresh is extremely smooth and makes the phone feel very responsive and fast. The curve is fantastic and I have zero problems with accidental touches.4. The phone is a really nice weight. It's just heavy enough to have a solid, premium feel while not being unwieldy or awkward. The phone is also sized perfectly: it's not too tall or wide, and not too big (I hate a really big phone).I wouldn't recommend a single phone over this one. I think Motorola has a very exciting future and this phone is a perfect example of that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing flagship smartphone for a great price
I upgrade to this from a moto Z4 because it died after 4 years of daily use. Definitely worth the upgrade. I got this for $699 so the price was much better compared to the other flagship phones like the galaxy s23 ultra. Works great on the Verizon network. I am using it on US Mobile without any issues. The battery life so far has been amazing. Under light use I could easily see this lasting three days. I use it pretty heavily throughout the day and by the time I go to bed it is still typical around 30% to 40%.I like the look of the phone too. Phone was a bit slippery but it is fine with a case. I recommend a screen protector too. Phone is a little big with a case but nothing compared to the brick sized s23 ultra. Typing one handed is hard but it is possible. The camera is good, but not the best. It is not a bad camera by any means. But when compared to Samsung or pixel phones, I think they are a bit better. But I am not a photographer so that doesn't really bother me. It suits me just fine. One downside to this phone is the lack of options for cases and screen protectors. I don't know why a company as big as Motorola is lacking so much in third party case options.Overall I highly recommend this phone. It is fast, smooth, has great storage, and has exceptional battery life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Phone
Motorola has made a come back with this one, the last great moto phone was the Droid and I have suffered for years waiting on Motorola to bring out another awesome phone. now if you are a Verizon user, yes it will work on the Verizon network and if you work for Verizon please make a note of this since no one at Verizon could tell me if it would work. But it does.

5.0 out of 5 stars A WHOLE LOT of phone for $400
Pros:-Tough but elegant build quality-Bright, large, and colorful high quality display-Snappy response and powerful processor-Motorola security features-Insane battery life and charging speed-Great for gamingCons:-The current software update has made the phone wake screen respond in 2-4 seconds. (This is a con which will most likely be fixed with a future software update)-Camera is not on the S23 ultra level, but it gets the job done. With good lighting, you'll get some good shots with this phone.*A picture I took with the phone attached.

5.0 out of 5 stars Switched from iPhone to Android
I decided to switch from an iPhone 14 pro max to this phone. I've been using it for about a week now and I'm really enjoying it. The battery life is just as good as the iPhone (which is saying a lot), while still being a lot lighter which makes it comfortable to hold in my hand with me pinky underneath. I installed a screen protector I got off Amazon and it's had no trouble with the curved edges. The pictures the phone takes are also really good. iPhones are sort of the gold standard when it comes to photos, but for someone like me I honestly can't tell the difference between them, they look great. The phone has a regular SIM card slot and an ESIM installed so you can use whichever works best, or both. The stereo speakers are also very loud if that's something you're looking for. They sound good for what they are as well. I was nervous about how well the fingerprint scanner would work with it being underneath the screen, but I'm happy to say it works just as well as FaceID. Sometimes it will miss your fingerprint, but no more than FaceID can't see your face at an angle, so it's not a tradeoff. The phone charges super fast with the included charger, it honestly surprised me. I have the fast charger for the iPhone but it's nowhere near as fast as this. I put it on the charger this morning at 16%, and when I got out of the shower and back to my phone it was in the 80s.Overall, I love this phone. It's every bit as premium as other flagships just $100-$200 cheaper, the Motorola gestures and always on display are actually useful, and it takes great photos. I'm looking forward to using this phone for a few years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great phone & found a CASE that fits
I'm really loving this phone!Everything works smoother and faster compared to previous Motorola phones that I've had.I'll write more about it after I've used it for a week or 2. Maybe. I already agree with the reviewers that spelled out what they like about this phone. My main purpose of writing this review is to let you know that I found a nice case that fits except for 1 minor adjustment that it needs. The black case I found called 'Aikcks for Motorola Edge 40 5G' (as far as dimensions and snug fit) is a perfect fit and actually quite stylish. It's not just a nice black, it's sweet looking. However, you will need to make a very small opening for the proximity sensor. The new opening will need to be made on the top/left/upper side of the *case*.Note: The case already has an opening on the top/right/upper side. Probably for a slightly different Edge phone... obviously.I used a very small drill bit 1/32" (I think that was the size) and increased the size of the new opening gradually until I got it approx 1/8" round. I don't know what material this case is made of, but it's strong, flexible & durable.Just under $7. A great price for sure and if you mess it up by not being careful creating the new opening, you won't mind ordering another. 😎

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely love it
My Huawei Mate 20 Pro started to have issues of randomly rebooting after three-plus years of use. I first replaced it with a Google Pixel 7, but disliked it after two weeks of use. The battery life of the Pixel 7 does not last a whole day and the touch screen is not sensitive after using a screen protector (I turned on the option to increase screen sensitivity). I decided to give Motorola Edge + (2022) a try. I had to pay $100 extra to bump the storage of my Pixel 7 from 125 GB to 256 GB, and this Moto Edge + (2022) has $512 GB storage! It seemed a good deal. I read quite a few reviews, and none spoke highly of this phone. Now I have had this phone for about a month and I can report that I like everything this phone offers. This phone functions well as a calling device. Good reception outside and it supports WIFI calling on the T-Mobile network. By default, the WIFI calling is not enabled, but I got a message from T-Mobile with detailed instructions on how to enable it. That part was easy. I also updated the system with 6 periodic updates. At the time of this writing, the latest system update was from 12/1/2022. I find the volume of the speaker decent, comparable to other phones my other family members or I have used before. The phone takes clear pictures under low light conditions. I can tell that there are some software enhancements to the pictures. Some people find it not acceptable, but I think it is probably a choice of personal tastes. I am neutral about using AI to enhance pictures. Overall, I think the camera on this phone performed better than my expectations.I like the overall design of this phone. The layout of the cameras looks better than the Pixel 7. I also find the fingerprint reader integrated with the power button a better idea than the on-screen placement. It's much faster compared with the Pixel 7. When I use Android Pay on this phone, it is much easier to unlock the phone with the outside fingerprint reader. With all other features such as NFC, wireless charging, long battery life, 8 GB memory (can increase to 10 GB with onboard storage), 512 GB of storage, and a low price of $499, I definitely think it is a much better deal compared to Google Pixel 7 or even the pro version of it. I haven't tried the Motorola Ready For functions, which can use the phone as a high-res webcam or a desktop computer. They all sound like something useful and are surprises to me.
