4.0 out of 5 stars First experience with a Mesh system...it has its ups and downs Mesh system are expense and you would expect them to perform to spec, well lets just say they are no different than a single point router in the pitfalls of walls and obstacles. If you get a system like this and set it up correctly (which is not real clear in the instructions I might add) you can mitigate some of the issues with single point system. This system will go Node to Node to Router to maintain signal strength. That being don't believe the 6000 square foot coverage. I have 1900 square foot and 2 units were not enough to get from one end of the house to the other. Also I get suck a weak signal in the basement I am going to have to get a forth unit down there. So I started with 2 units and had to buy a third, in the future probably a forth. Now if the Nodes connect well to each other and to the Gateway to are golden, you have 200-300 MB connection speed. Not bad for wireless. Other than that, the app is a little weak and their signal strength in the app keeps going away and you have to reset the nodes to get it back, app could use some work for sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Tech Support I decided to replace my old linksys router with this new Linksys Velop Pro Wifi 6E. One of the reasons I decided to stick with Linksys was because of the excellent tech support. Due to a mistake, I made during the set up I really needed them. I spent approximately 5 hours on the phone with Linksys tech support fixing my set up. Here's what I did wrong. The original set up went smooth and as advertised until I got to the point where it said your node software is out of date and there is a new version would you like to update it. So, I hit yes. Unfortunately, my two child nodes where not connected to the internet at the time so the parent node was the only one that updated which now meant neither child node would connect. It took a long time to figure this out. The tech support representative was amazing, patient and knowledgeable. He worked through the problem and after having to hard wire each node to my computer in order to download the software update, we finally got it working. I also learned a lot about the Linksys app and the tech support rep. showed me how to use the channel finder option in order to properly place my nodes. This made a tremendous difference to my speed upstairs. The way I originally set my nodes each child node was trying to access the parent router and the node upstairs was not doing well. When I moved one of the downstairs nodes slightly the speed increased significantly. If I didn't have the help of tech support, I would probably have sent the system back. Once set up properly this is a great mesh network. 4 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, Fast WiFi-Easy setup-great value Finally gave up on Apple introducing a replacement for the AirPort line of routers. I am a 40+ year Apple Specialist and loved the integration, simplicity and control of the Airport system, but it was getting very out of date and slow. Just upgraded to a new Apple Mac Mini Pro and could not take advantage of its much faster WiFi. After a lot of studying, I chose the Linksys Velop 6e. Setup was super simple using the Linksys Velop app. Re-configuring an extensive HomeKit (or any other smart home) can be daunting. I was worried about adding legacy sub-routers (AirPort Express) for Airplay 2, but works flawlessly. Then all the other Macs, HomePods, switches, lights, cameras, security, whew! Siri is now happy with everything. Took a day, but all is up and running, fast and much better coverage. The Linksys Velop app replaces Airport Utility with much more comprehensive tools and made setup & management a piece of cake. Highly recommended!! 5 people found this helpful

1.0 out of 5 stars App is horrible, impossible to setup 1. The Linksys app fails to connect to the router after setup.2. The app constantly needs to be shut down and restarted. It hits dead ends with no where to go.3. The child nodes don’t talk with the parent node.4. There are blinking lights that try to tell you what is going on with the router. Invariably the light will be solid and then start blinking again. Impossible to tell what the routers are doing.5. The routers native user interface is really old and basic. I don’t know why they didn’t make these possible to setup through the app or the routers native user interface.6. I spent over two hours with customer support who also tried to make these connect and they couldn’t do it.After spending countless hours of resetting and retrying, I’m going with another mesh network. I found out these just came out so it makes sense there are tons of bugs in the setup. I’m not waiting around for the issues to be resolved. 7 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars WiFi Coverage Across The Whole House -- Uniform, Consistent, High Fidelity If you are a non-high-tech person and want to get the best product that is easy to set up and deploy it across your entire home -- this is one of the best one out there.Disclaimer -- I normally do not write reviews -- but I thought I would start here.I want to give two ratings.1. Quick Rating -- For those who may not have time to read the detailed review2. Detailed Review -- for those who are willing to spend a few more minutes. The Quick Review--------------------Previously I have used an integrated wifi router and access point with just one equipment to install / deploy. As you too might have experienced that this arrangement does NOT provide good / uniform coverage across all parts of your home.Hence, I decided to go with a Mesh Router which comes with 2 - 3 pieces that allows you to install these in different parts of your home and get some consistent coverage across your home.Summary of my experience with this product:-----------------------------------------------------(You can see the detailed one if you interested by scrolling down)Easy to purchaseEasy to open up the package, connect and power up the three white pillars.Easy to download the IOS app via Code Scanner.Easy to click through the app to set up, create wifi network name and passwordEasy to move those two white boxes to different coverage areasEasy to connect your various devices to closest white box.The Detailed Review------------------------I have been a customer of Linksys since its early days. In 1997 I bought their WiFi (802.11 b) and installed it in my home.Since then, I have used D-Link, Motorola, Net-Gear and now back to Linksys.I have been wanting to upgrade my home wifi equipment for a while and finally I decided to do some research on this area before purchasing it.As I said in my quick review, if you want to have uniform / consistent and good coverage across all parts of your home, you need to upgrade from single unit product (integrated router and wifi access point) to a mess wifi product. There were too many options and I first narrowed down to offers from google, amazon, and linksys. Then compared the prices and features and decided on Linksys.Without repeating the points I made in the quick review above -- let me add a few things. The elegant design of the product and the color allows me to put each of these fully functioning wifi routers in different rooms and still maintain the decor of the room. The power cord that comes with each of the units is long enough to reach a power port near by.The white color helps too.The user interface in the mobile app is quite well designed -- very easy to easy and the steps are easy to follow. While it is not unusual for mobile apps these days to be easy to use and well designed, it is good to know that Linksys -- a network equipment company and not a software company -- spent money and resources to build an app that is quite fun to use.It took me total of 20 minutes -- in 3 - 5 minutes chunks between updates, and various different sections. The app navigated me through various steps and providing an a good estimate of time required to complete the steps.Summary:If you are looking for ensuring a very good coverage for your entire home -- this is one of the best products out there. You will be happy and unlikely to be unhappy -:) 24 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product.. but.... Look there is no doubt these are great mesh network routers.. however your experience may vary like mine has. I think all the specs are based on stud and drywall homes.. and not block homes. I find the overall coverage is about 1/3 of the advertised. I went through a lot of troubleshooting the tech support is fantastic. We kept coming back to the same conclusion its the home construction causing the issues with the signal coverage and connectivity. So we will need 6 in a 4000sqft home.. oh well happy with them in any case. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Why an old Wi-Fi guy chose the Linksys Velop WiFi 6E Mesh system I am a veteran networking professional with over 30 years of experience in the industry and I have also authored numerous books on Wi-Fi technology. I have spent most of my career focusing on enterprise-level Wi-Fi solutions. The Wi-Fi that I usually deal with is built for businesses, and it's a whole different ballgame than the home Wi-Fi most people are familiar with. In the business world, the Wi-Fi has to not only be super-fast and extremely secure, but it also needs to integrate seamlessly into complex enterprise networks. You might be wondering why a guy who works with super complicated Wi-Fi systems for big businesses is messing around with home Wi-Fi gear. Well, my wife had enough of our home looking like a sci-fi movie set with all the techy equipment I'd bring home. She wanted something that was not only reliable but also aesthetically pleasing—essentially, a Wi-Fi system that "just works" without becoming a room's unwanted centerpiece. So, I thought I'd go back to basics and check out Linksys, which was my go-to for home Wi-Fi way back when everyone was just getting used to the idea of Wi-Fi in the first place.I decided to go with the Linksys Velop Pro 6E, opting for the 3-pack mesh system to ensure solid coverage throughout my entire home. I was drawn to this choice for a few reasons: Linksys' reputable brand name, the system's sleek design, and the inclusion of Wi-Fi 6E technology that operates on the new 6 GHz frequency band. When I hit the 'Buy Now' button, I had three criteria in mind that, if met, would make this a 5-star product for me:1. Hassle-free setup2. Easy on the eyes3. Strong and fast coverage throughout my 2,600 square-foot homeI am happy to report that the Linksys Velop Pro 6E met all three expectations with flying colors.Setup:The setup was a breeze. I unboxed the system, scanned the QR code to download the Linksys app, and the app guided me through the entire installation process. From unboxing to fully operational, it took me about 5 minutes—or let's call it 10 minutes, accounting for the time I spent positioning the two additional mesh nodes around my house as the app advised. The best part? The mesh setup was incredibly smooth and automatic. Just plug in, follow the prompts, and you're up and running.Within another 15 minutes, I had connected all of my 12 devices—laptops, smartphones, tablets, TVs, a doorbell, thermostats, you name it—to the new Wi-Fi network with the latest WPA3 security. And while the Linksys mobile app is straightforward enough for most users, advanced settings can also be managed via their web application if you prefer.Pretty factor:Aesthetics matter more than most people think. I frequently come across the newest Wi-Fi routers boasting 6-8 antennas sticking out, making them look like some sort of robotic alien spider. What I needed was a Wi-Fi system that could discreetly blend into the room, becoming a part of the decor rather than a distraction. The Linksys Velop Pro 6E delivers on this front—its cylindrical design and internal antennas make it a sleek, unobtrusive addition to any room. Definitely easy on the eyes!Connectivity:I conducted tests throughout the house and consistently recorded a signal strength of well over -65 dBm (which is considered excellent). Using Ookla for speed tests on various devices, I nearly maxed out the bandwidth limit set by my ISP, which is 500 Mbps. Keep in mind, I specifically wanted a Wi-Fi 6E system to leverage the newly-released 6 GHz frequency band. I have a couple of smartphones and laptops equipped with 6 GHz radios, and I observed Wi-Fi speeds as high as 2401 Mbps. After 48 hours of operation, the verdict from the home front is unanimous: everyone is happy, and the Wi-Fi just works. That merits 5-stars! 107 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, quick setup, fast connection for 4-bedroom 2-story house Less than 20 min to set up with the app. Directions were clear with diagrams so anyone can plug in and click through. Seems faster than our prior LinkSys system, which is what we had hoped. Tbh, our other LinkSys set still works well, so we will give to someone who needs it. This new set has nicer aesthetics. Each unit has a small footprint, so easy to place on a shelf, behind a vase or somewhere else inconspicuous. Definitely a durable brand our family trusts. One person found this helpful

2.0 out of 5 stars My MR8300 Works A Lot Better Set this router up through the app, everything went fine up until the point where I moved the child node to the upstairs after pairing. Once moved, the internet would drop off periodically once or twice every hour. Did a factory reset on both nodes, setup again, only this time not only does it drop internet still once or twice an hour, but also I'm unable to even access the settings through the web client or app because it says it is offline (despite it clearly supplying internet to my fire tv sticks and phones on the network).Ended up going back to my MR8300. The speeds were faster and the range was better when Velop would actually work, but I'm not going to say something is worth 300 dollars when it in fact only worked 70 percent of the time and without all of its features. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Work great Setup was easy. I configured a single device using the phone app to start with, then I setup the web interface and did some additional setup and customization there. Adding the extra devices was very straightforward and coverage is great. Pleased to have wifi 6E/WPA3 and assume these will last a while. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a non-amazon/google option but also trying to avoid the bargain basement devices options out there that lack support and many security/config features. 2.0 out of 5 stars Worked great at first ! These worked absolutely fantastic, for about 3 days ! Then they started dropping the signal ! Instead of automatically reconnecting itself I would have to unplug power cable and reset the router. That got old quick ! I contacted my ISP repeatedly to have them reset my connection and to double check that "they" hadn't dropped the signal.I gave these an honest effort and they failed me !I solved the problem by purchasing different routers from my ISP. 4.0 out of 5 stars Upgrading equipment not easy using the app. I upgraded my eqipment to Cognitive Mesh Router with 6 Ghz Band Access, but when trying to install it on my system using the app, as directed, it kept reverting to my old router, saying it was offline. Overall it took me a couple of hours with customer support to get it resolved. Customer/technical support was great to deal with, however using the app to upgrade your equipment should have been an easier process. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes My Expensive Internet Worth It! First of all, if you are like me and spending $90 per month for internet service, I'm sure you are expecting the highest speeds, no buffering, and definitely no WIFI signal issues. That wasn't always the case until I upgraded to this whole house system which has eliminated the frustrations we were experiencing before. My house is only 2,200 sq. ft., but with the standard router provided by my ISP, I was losing signal in my back two bedrooms and in the opposite corner computer room. My router was stationed directly in the middle of my house. Now with the new system, I still have the router positioned in the middle of the house with a "child" router connected 20 feet away in each direction. I now have excellent signal strength throughout the house with no loss of connection and no buffering. I currently have 23 devices connected to my system. The system comes with an App that is pretty cool to check in on. It lists all your devices and which router they are connected to with signal strength. I don't imagine I'll use this often, but it is nice in the beginning for assurance that you're getting good signal. Set up was easy, it just took a while to set up all the devices with a new password.Overall I'm really happy we made the move to upgrade. I always thought this was only for huge houses, but it really helps the performance in my moderately sized home. It's a big purchase, but when you compare it to your monthly ISP charges, and the fact that you are now getting all the signal and speed that you paid for, it makes total sense. 9 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars As long as it continues working it will be great. Took 2 days to get it reliably connected to our network. After wife asking the 2 installers (husband and family member) if they tried customer support, they did after working on it all morning on day 2. They called and turns out customer support helped them download all the most recent firmware updates. So far it has been working great, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.Lesson - men, listen to the women in your life when they tell you to ask for help. 5 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite an Improvement I've had a long history of linksys routers and for the most part I have been quite happy with them however the Velop-WHW0303 I had prior to this left a lot to be desired mainly in terms of reliability. With that set of nodes it seemed like once a month I would have one or more nodes go offline. This became increasingly frustrating as the family and I added more devices to the network. More than once we would be shouting at Alexa to turn off some smart device only to get the "I'm having trouble connecting to the internet right now..." reply. So after a trying experience with the WHW0303 I am pleased to see that Linksys has addressed a lot of the issues I ran into with the Pro 6E set of nodes. Setup was a breeze once I had figured out that I needed to log out of the app to setup a new network (won’t be an issue for people who don’t already have a linksys account). The setup process was well guided in the app and surprisingly quick, the nodes all found each other without issue and repositioning them was no problem. The longest part of the whole process was running the firmware update for the nodes, but I liked that the app explained that this was a onetime deal and that future updates would be run overnight and automatically. We’ve only had the network setup for about a month so time will tell but so far I have not had any connection issues and all nodes have remained connected non-stop as far as I can tell.Way to step up your game linksys. Oh and I like that you can turn off the led on the nodes now, way better than having to tape over them. 😉 5 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Coverage Upgraded my Wifi coverage. Coverage has been great. Setup was a struggle simply because my firmware was out of date. I called tech support. They were professional, knowledgable and patient. Once firmware was updated, the setup took 10-15 minutes, had to update two slave nodes as well. Of course, setup time mileage will vary... 5.0 out of 5 stars Customer service is impeccable! We already had a Linksys Mesh system hooked up to our network. It worked great! The network we had started slowing down a bit and we weren't happy with it anymore. Someone suggested to us that we try Starlink. (We live out in the boonies.) So we thought we'd give Starlink a try. We love it, but we didn't get a great signal in some parts of the house. (We were paid up for a year with our old network so we thought we'd keep using it, along with Starlink, until the service ran out on the old one.) So we decided to purchase another Linksys Mesh System to connect to the Statlink router. We were having trouble doing that on our own so we called Linksys customer service. Let me tell you, they were wonderful! This lady, MARY, stayed on the phone with us for three hours! The next day she called us back to see how things were working!!! OMG! I've never had any customer service call us back like that! We had a tiny glitch that was happening but we were busy at the moment when she called. So she called back the next day and stayed on the phone for another 2 hours fixing the glitch. WOW! She was so very helpful and didn't try to belittle us at all. We are so very impressed with her. I hope her bosses take notice of her and give her a raise because she is amazing! Thanks Linksys! It's very much worth the money just for the support alone!!! 4 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for detached garages or ADUs 5 stars, 10/10, would buy again. Will recommend to anyone who asks me about it or complains about their WIFI signal. My wife and I built a detached garage+ADU and the WIFI signal from our detached existing home has been spotty. I set up a gym in the garage and have had pretty poor WIFI coverage since it's probably about 80-100feet away from my router, which is located in a completely different structure. I did a speed test before and I was receiving 20 down and 5 up. Not bad at all. My old Router was no slouch either (nighthawk). However, I was getting frustrated while trying to do cardio with Netflix having issues buffering or my Spotify continually cutting out. I was recommended this product by a family member and I was so surprised at the end result.Setup- After I switched out my personal ethernet cable for the one provided, things went smoothly (I think mine was broken?). I don't know why I just didn't use the one provided in the first place. Learn from me. Anyways, I'm a middle aged 30 something year old and am above average tech savvy. It was okay to put together. Not too bad.Signal- 5 stars, 10/10 would buy again. Will recommend to anyone who asks me about it. My garage gym now gets 57 down and 51 up. Remember, that's a solid 80-100 feet away in another building. I set up the parent node at the front of the house (this is where the ONT/modem is situated) and I setup another node at the rear of the house in the master bedroom. The third node I put in our detached garage, which from the 2nd node is maybe a solid 30-40 feet away? Within the detached garage/gym the signal is amazing. I can workout with my Spotify that doesn't cut out and I can do cardio with Netflix streaming perfectly. This product is amazing. 12 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Follow-up to "Disappointed" : Issue Resolved I had two issues with the Linksys Velop 6E that I had previously commented on here as a review.#1 the WiFi range did not seem to be as advertised#2 The stated wired networking procedure requiring "Daisy Chaining" inorder to add to an existing multi unmanaged switch network was not possible for my setup.#1- My location has many obstructions (drywall and concrete walls), stair, furniture, etc. which affected range.#2 - The support agent that I spoke with provided misinformation about networking.Linksys followed up with me and accelerated support to a knowledgeable tech who resolved my issues. She walked me through the procedure to add the two Child Nodes to my network and suggested running the channel tool to optimize the channels. This was very easy to do and worked.Although I still have mixed feeling abour the range, given the inherent obstructions in my location, I suppose it is what it is.And finally, I must commend Linksys on their support. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great WIFI coverage I would of given this router 5 stars if it was not for its set up app. I followed the set up apps instructions to set up the base router that connects to my modem but it just would not connect to the internet. The app kept tell me to check the cable from the modem to the base unit but it was fine. The apps only recommendation repeatedly was to check this connection and never asked if the connection was good then move on to another recommendation. What worked was to unplug the base unit with all the connections in place then plugged it back in. 9 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well This was easy to install and setup. The main aim was to be able to walk all over the house and not have VoIP calls from my wife’s cellphone drop out and that aim has been satisfied. We don’t seem to be having any issues with it and I have not found any black spots (2100sq ft 2 story town house - long and skinny). Seem to be able to get 500MB/s in most of the house with more closer to a node. Our Comcast contract is 1GB/s and we seem to reach that easily (when connected to the router) 2 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Not all it's cracked up to be This was an upgrade for me from an older Linksys mesh system. Out of the 3pack, 1 node was defective. That took hours to talking to Tech Support for them to troubleshoot before they deemed it defective & send me a new one :( Then I had to pay to send it back, seriously! What a pain!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent support! The router installation went smoothly and works perfectly, but I could not get my old printer to connect via WiFi. The extremely patient support person I spoke to at Linksys solved the problem and saved the day. Now that Apple is out of the WiFi router biz, we will be using Linksys henceforth!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stable and performant mesh system Stable and performant mesh system. It has Qualcomm chip same as Eeero 6e ax5400 and hence same level of performance.Very basic app and very limited settings in web interface but more than enough for my needs.Only reason I bought this new Linksys Model because it has Qualcomm chip compared to other mesh systems with unknown or Mediatek and was offered at a competitive price.Qualcomm WiFi chips has the best compatibility with vast majority of devices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Configure and Deploy These were so easy to setup and had 9 of them configured in less than 15 minutes. Deployed them throughout our church and dead spots were completely eliminated. Speeds stay consistent throughout the 25,000sqft church.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Velop 6E Pro The Velop 6E Pro seems to be very compatible with all my devices. I upgraded from the Linksys EA9300 with 6 exterior antennas. It was great. Just wanted to see If I could see improvements in Velop 6E Pro Mesh Router. After 2 mths. not yet. Maybe for some other compatible devices. But also seems as fast as my previous router.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome 👌 I had the linksys mesh 5 which I still think works quite well if you're under 1 gig and don't have hundreds of devices. This specimofel is quite good for wireless devices that are 6e compatible. There is a list on the internet. One example is the Samsung flip 5. With a device similar to this that is 6e compatible I can get over 500mbps download or more on 1 gig. The wifi are just faster compared with the wifi5. That will be changing as all future devices are and will be 6e compatible. However depending on your network the mesh 5 system might function just as well and save you some 💰. This is an awesome system with all the bells and whistles.

4.0 out of 5 stars 5.4GB Speeds, but WAN Port is only 1gb Overall, I am a fan of this mesh system. The biggest drawback I see is that the internet gets capped at 1000mbps even though the wifi can do 5400mbps. I have a gigabit internet connection. When I'm plugged directly into the modem, I get 1200mbps, but when I'm plugged into the router I only get 940mbps. Now, I'm not going to do anything because 940mbps is still excessive for anything you're doing today, but it would have been really nice if they had used a 2.5gb ethernet port instead of a 1gb ethernet port. 4.0 out of 5 stars It's ok if on a budget It's ok. Not as great as I hoped but it's better than where I was. The nodes are finicky and can't get too far from router node. Be careful of the tech support. There are some imposters on Google that act as if they're Linksys support but they're not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect I bought the 3 node version and for the first time ever, I am getting a strong WiFi signal throughout my home. Setup was extremely easy and worked on the first try. The only issue that I encountered was that my previous router was a two band router (2.4 and 5Ghz) and I used a different SSID for each band. When setting up the Velop Pro 6e mesh routers, it defaults to a single SSID for all 3 bands and the app doesn’t give you the ability to change them initially. Since I have a large number of WiFi devices in my home, I really wanted to keep my existing SSIDs and not have to reconfigure every connected device. I called Linksys tech support, they answered the phone immediately, and they transferred me to group that supports the Velop Pro 6e. The tech walked me through logging into the router from a browser and I was able to set the SSIDs as desired. Everything is working perfectly and I couldn’t be happier. Definitely two thumbs up to Linksys. Strongly recommend. 8 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy setup-great performance My Google Nest mesh system wasn’t working out. Compatibility issues, dropped connections. Ordered the three-node Linksys system. Had it out of the box and up in running in 15 minutes. Used my same network name and password and all of my devices connected (about 30 in all with TVs, smart plugs etc). I’ve got a 1Gbs fiber internet connection. Tested over 800Mbs on my computer over WiFi a few feet from the router, and testing over 400Mbs outside about 20 feet from one of the child nodes. So far, so good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gets the job done Great system— definitely give it a few days before passing judgement. The cognitive mesh system really does take its job seriously, and in doing so it takes a bit to optimize itself. Once you’ve given it about 3 days you’ll never have to think about your WiFi again. It’s great. The app is also handy and allows for a lot of control and customization. I recommend this system over the WiFi 7 system as it’s much cheaper and frankly most electronics are just now getting WiFi 6, very few 6E, most likely a year or two for 7. 5.0 out of 5 stars So far, not impressed and then this happened I purchased this set to provide better coverage for a large home with lots of residents. I replaced an older Linksys 6e mesh system that worked well but not perfect. This new system seems to be causing more problems and providing no improvement in coverage. The system does not do a good job of self-healing after a power loss without restarting everything manually. I wanted to save running around the house rebooting all the mesh repeaters. I still have hopes that, with an update or two, the system will give me the "cognitive mesh" (whatever that is) that I wanted.Just found out that this system is not backward compatible with Linksys "intelligent mesh" systems so a lot of what I had planned is not going to work and I am still having problems getting all of the child nodes to connect. May have to tear the network down and start again. Not a good option. Less impressed with the system. After spending several hours on the phone with Linksys support, excellent and professional, the major issues have been resolved. One issue was the speed of my Verizon internet speed and another issue was a node that wanted to be the main node not a child. With these two issues fixed I now get excellent coverage at 10 times the speed. Thank you Linksys. 10 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome upgrade Call tech support early! I spent 4 hours troubleshooting this and calling my ISP before calling Linksys and they were soooo much help! Do it early! Also download and use the App, that's a must. This new Cognitive Mesh system (with the MX6300) is a great upgrade over the Intelligent Mesh (MR8300/WHW0300.) I'm getting better range and speed. But the best upgrade is being able to see which devices are connected to which nodes. For instance, sometimes devices connect to the node that is furthest away, so you can stop & restart wifi on that device and it'll connect to a closer node. You can also see how the nodes are connected to the master node. For instance, my master is in the middle of the three, but the nodes where chained together like 1 was connected to the master and node 2 was connected to node 1. When I turned off nod 1 that forced node 2 to connect to the master, then I could turn node 1 back on. That was a huge help! You can also see the signal strength in dBm. The closer the number is to 0 the better the signal strength. 3 people found this helpful

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs software tweaks I decided to upgrade my older Velop system from 2017 (WHW03) to WiFi 6E product and got the 3 node MX6200 series Velop. I connected the 1st node to my FiOS ONT terminal (Verizon I-211M-L) by cat 6 wire. I then connected my PC by cat 6 wire to the 1st Velop terminal. I then run a few speed tests using Ookla as well as Linksys own speed test. To my surprise, the upload speeds were about half (about 150 Mbps) of what my FiOS fiberoptic symmetric service is providing (300/300). My old Velop is always clocking 300/300 in the Linksys Speed tests. Note, these tests were done on wired connection, with quality cat 6 cables. I have also trie dthe same test over WiFi, with identical results. I called Linksys tech support, and to Linksys credit, a live rep was on the phone immediately. We manually updated firmware, switched primary node, run a setup several times, to no avail. The upload speeds between main node and and the ONT terminal are always halved. I am sure that eventually Linksys will find the cause and possibly fix the issue with firmware update, but I am extremely disappointed with this product as of now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great We updated our old linksys router to get better wifi coverage and security. We ordered just one of these for our house. The setup was very easy and we are very happy with the coverage. A nice feature of this unit is the mix mode wifi, so no more separate ssid names for different frequencies. 5.0 out of 5 stars Working as expected Upgraded to better support all my devices. My older Lynksys router worked but my thermostat continued to drop connection. Tried multiple different thermostats but they all would drop connection. Had about 15 devices connected so I thought I would give this new mesh router a try. Easy set up because I already had the app from my previous router. I’ve had this new router for about a month and the thermostat has not lost connection since I’ve upgraded. Very happy with it.
