4.0 out of 5 stars Great size mat I use it as a door mat. It absorb great and it's not thick that I cannot open the door. It is a bit slippery at the bottom but it's not a problem that can't be solved with a double size tape at the bottom. My cat likes to lay on it too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted This food mat worked out great for the sloppy dog dribbles from my large dogs. I have a raised dog bowl feeder that I wanted something underneath for said mess. It’s almost a neoprene feeling material with a cloth covering. It keeps the dribbles off the floor but it also doesn’t dry well if something happens to get underneath it. I can’t really think of anything that would help in that situation though so it’s not like it’s a problem. It’s just doesn’t have those absorbent abilities anywhere but the top. For the price it does exactly what I wanted, no complaints.

I let our big boy Hermes eat and drink and then I will just pick this up, slide into kitchen sink and rinse and dry. No more having to get out paper towels and clean up food bits from the floor. Our robot vacuum also handles it with ease.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just not sold on the concept... ...of a hard-as-a-rock plank to put my dogs bowls on? They move around, causing spills that simply wouldn't happen on a rubber or silicone mat. Seems like this is aimed at the crowd that has to have the lastest 'in' solution using the 'Green' or environmentally-friendly sales-pitch to sell it. If this works for you at almost $40 great, but we're using it now for one water bowl that has a rubberized bottom to minimize the bowl from slipping around.

In my small area I need to keep the dog dishes near my outside door, so I bought this for two reasons, one to help keep that area clean and two to look nice. I have dealt with soggy crusty rugs and just needed something better so decided to try this mat and it has done what it claims it will. It is absorbent and no water builds up on or under, it is easy to wipe down and seems to quickly air dry. For me I would have liked just a little bit bigger size to choose from, I ordered the 16x24. I have it under a raised bowl set-up and need to pull it forward so it will catch my dog’s water dripping and my natural impulse is to have it against the wall. It is an absolute must for pets that are messy or like to push their bowls around. It looks good while keeping the area mess free both around and under the feeding area.

We have porcelain tile flooring and my furbaby eats the farmers dog food which is pretty much like human food --three times a day :P He can't help but make a mess and it gets stuck on the floor and in between the tile. Clean-up is so much easier with this and its the perfect size for the area. It has a good thickness and doesn't slide around. If I didn't know better, I would think this is a giant mouse mad/desktop mat. The quality is great! Mom and furchild approved!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect thin mat for sloppy pooches This very thin mat fits nicely underneath and absorbs water falls on it, while also wicking the moisture from your floors. It is a bit on the large size as you can see in the photo, but because it is so thin, it is easy to fix in place. One of our dogs has a way of flinging bits of food out of his bowl while eating and this mat is perfect for keeping it off the floor. He can then grab those lost little bits and all we have to do is wipe if off when he's finished.

Now it is easy to just wipe the mat or even pick it up to wash it off instead of having a mess on the floor. Its easy to clean and is a good size. I had previously gotten a smaller one thinking the bowls are small and would fit on it, but I changed to this size and it is much easier to keep the mess on the mat. One person found this helpful

The mat absorbs water and debris from sloppy eating but one can just rinse it with some hot water, wipe it down and place it right back again. I've been using mine for 2 months and it saves my floor in my home by having a placemat for the cats feeding area. Highly recommended if your looking for a placemat for your pet.

My mat measured at around 23.5 x 15.5 inches which isn't that big of a deal but was still worth mentioning. I was honestly skeptical on how absorbent it would be but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually quite absorbent. My dog makes quite a mess when he drinks from his water dish so I was very pleased to see how absorbent it was. It's made of a rubber material that feels similar to a mouse pad but thicker.

The photos make it look larger than it is.It literally looks and feels like a mouse pad so just to give you an idea.. that is what you are getting. Large mouse pad 😆It is easy to wipe down. I wouldn't use any chemicals though because the mat is porous so it will absorb the chemicals that you use.... not good for your pet! So only use a damp cloth to wipe this down.

The picture in the listing makes it look much larger than it it (those must be tiny bowls!), so just make sure you're expecting the dimensions listed. Other than that, it's awesome. 4.0 out of 5 stars Absorbs water. Nice looking mat that absorbs water fairly quickly. My cat likes to move the water bowl around before drinking, so there is always water on my wood floor. He's not able to slide the bowl as easily with this mate, and if he does spill the backing on this mat seems to keep the water off the floor. The mat does dry over time, and you cannot see any water stains. This is a lot bigger than I need it to be, so I cut it into a square for the water bowl and have a smaller rectangle to use under the cat's food bowl.

Boxers have got to be the biggest water bowl puddlers around, and this one does a pretty good job at "containing" it.Upsides, it stops excess water from getting everywhere.-Easy to clean,just wipe it off.Downsides.You do have to air out the mat to make sure it dries out completely. It does seem to have a threshold for slobber and water absorbation. And dirt can stop this. So clean your mat often.I would have liked it to be a little bigger. But this works for the job.

One of the cats loves to tap the water, despite it already moving because it is A FOUNTAIN, and splashing a bit onto the floor so I got this mat to save my floor the way puppy pads, paper towels, and a towel have not been able to. I also put a shoe tray under this mat. Winning combination, that!This mat holds a surprising amount of water but wrings out easily and a day in the sunshine sets it right again. Once a week i wash it in the sink and let it sun dry, just to keep things fresh.As a plus, now that the gratification of a wet mess surrounding the water fountain is gone, the cat(s) splash less and less. Fingers crossed they get over this bad habit. Until then, I am very pleased with this cute mat!

So look to the actual dimensions of your order and not the image for perspective. If the image represented the actual feeding mat they sent me, those dog dishes would be tiny (about the size of a tin can). I do like how they prevent the dog dishes from sliding all over the floor when my dog eats. Keeps the dog food from getting all over the floor too.

However, the size itself fits the width of cage as it is on the smaller end. It's still super useful and makes cleanup of my dog's messes a lot easier! (The mat was a little bent from his eating)
