5.0 out of 5 stars Only bright enough for mood lighting, but a great solar solution These were easy to put up and seem durable enough, but they aren't very bright. Even at the maximum brightness they definitely wouldn't be enough to read by unless they were hung quite close. The solar panel is larger than a lot of other solar lights like these. I've had them glow well into the night on sunnier days, so they'll be great for Summer cookouts. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to classy-up the patio. I put these solar string lights on my patio, and they are beautiful. They are solar powered and have a long working time of up to 8 hours (I didn't test the whole time, but I can confirm they lasted for over 6 hours without dimming). They are also IP65 waterproof and can withstand rain, I know. They have 25 warm white LED bulbs that create a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The solar string lights are easy to install and use, and have a switch and a mode button. However, they need enough sunlight to charge. They also have a short cord length and a small solar panel, which can limit the placement options.

5.0 out of 5 stars These lights stay lit all night long! I'm really impressed at how bright these lights actually shine, and the fact that they stay lit all night long until sunrise without dimming! I've had thrm up for over a month now, and the past week has been overcast and/or raining every day. In spite of the less than optimal charging conditions, the lighting quality and duration time have not suffered at all... Wow!

I was hoping they would be brighter since the solar panel seems large but, though they give more light than another solar patio light set I have, they still don't brighten the patio in the same way a plug-in set would. I'm glad to have them but if you're getting them, don't count on them to really "light" the patio.

Not too bright to be irritating, but give off just enough light to highlight the back yard. Solar power means I don't have to worry about the electric bill, and a full day of sun charges them enough to last all night. Highly recommended.

The strand is lightweight and was easy to string up on poles. So far it charges well during the day and stays on until after we go to bed at night. Would recommend if you are looking for a nice soft ambient light in your outdoor space.

Used around our grape vine trellises, these provide an elegant accent light at night without the need to run power to it. The solar panel mounted easily and I initially gave them a full charge via USB in addition to the integrated solar panels. These lights have hooks on each bulb (more like Christmas lights) making them easy to attach to branches so I’ve had to hang the lines on hooks, which also works fine. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Versatile solar string lights 50 foot long with 25 bulbs. I like the shape of the bulb. I like the control box with only 4 simple settings. That is a plus that it doesn't require a week of study to learn how to use these lights. They charged 5 hours in the afternoon and then shined bright after dark until I fell asleep. I give these my top recommendation for solar lights.

But make sure you install the solar panel at the place that has enough sunlight. It is not very bright but sufficient to illuminate my backyard. It did last for the whole night with the big battery inside.

The solar panel is lightweight and it also has some different modes for the lighting - including steady on or breathing. The light is bright enough for my need and it lit up from sunset to almost past 2 or 3am, depending on how much sun it get during the day. Notably, it also include an extra bulb for replacement if needed.

Reviewing:Guntsous 52FT Solar String Lights Outdoor Waterproof 4 Modes Dimmable, Solar Powered Lights for Patio, Compatible with USB ChargingI've bought a lot of solar string lights, and maybe three of those have been this new edison-style LED string lights.$1/foot is about normal. However the solar panel is the NICEST and most impressive so far of any of my solar light panels. It has the battery meter (which I have on a couple other ones) but the panel is bigger and sturdier feeling.It came pre-charged so I was able to test it out inside upon receipt.Barring it conking out, this is a five star product. If I have issues with any of my solar string lights, it seems to be consistent in either they fail in the first thirty days (in which case I get them replaced, or I replace the battery inside with an 18650 battery or similar) or they work for two or three years.Obviously I don't know if that will be the case with these, but in the couple dozen string lights I've had, that seems to be what happens: fail quickly or last years. I love the clips on each light so it's easy to attach to the bush. The solar panel is large and collects a lot of electricity that lets the lights stay lit all night. It is bright and beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice solar lights When I first took them out is the package and removed the twist ties, the lights seemed tangled. I ended up spreading it out over the grass as I untangled it. I think it was mostly the larger size bulbs catching on each other.The product comes with hardware to wall mount the solar panel or a stake to put it in the ground. I chose ground mount.The distance between the panel and the first bulb is rather short so the first bulbs are before the cord makes it from my garden bed to the top of the pole.The bulbs automatically come on at dusk. It's more decorative than functional. The bulbs are not bright enough to provide lighting for outdoor activities. They are like oversized Christmas lights that add a touch of magic to the garden.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice for areas with no power I have an old house and there is a gazebo in the very back of the yard overlooking a hillside and river. It is great in the winter with no leaves on the trees, but in the summer it is very shady. It's good for the heat, but it is dark. There is no power there and I don't want to run an extension all the time. These lights are great.They aren't as bright as something that would be powered, but for solar they are good. I do with the cord for the solar panel was longer so you could choose to place it somewhere more in the sun (and could just cook it up if you needed it shorter.) I have to disconnect it, carry the panel in the sun during the day, then. Movie it back at night since my area is shady. I don't always do it and some days it gets enough ambient light for them to turn on for a little while, but to fully charge, a long cord would have been nice.

I used some redneck engineering and secured them to one of the safety net poles on my kids' trampoline and they still look great.There are three different brightness levels to choose from- as well as some blinking and 'fading' features. I love that they are solar powered. The solar panel comes with a stake for the ground or it can also be mounted with screws, etc. The dusk 'til dawn feature is also really handy so that you don't have to push a button or flip a switch every time you want to use them. The solar panel is large (length of box) so it should be able to get a good amount of energy to power the lights. They came pre-charged out of box and if you want to charge them with a cord, you will need a USB C cable (doesn't come with product, but many products use it, so I own several). When charging with USB C there's a light showing the charging is working. One important thing to keep in mind is that the On/Off and Mode buttons are located at the back of the solar panel. So, you will need to locate it somewhere reachable to be able to change the light modes or turn them on/off. The light is a warm white and I LOVE the dim option. It also has several modes that allow for many use options. They are made of plastic but looks like glass and the bulbs are a nice size - look expensive. Very happy with this product. I installed the solar panel within easy reach because the controls for the lights are on the back of the solar panel and I wanted to be able to easily adjust the string lights. The lights look beautiful. They are a plastic bulb so I don't have to worry about broken glass and the edison light makes for a nice ambiance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well; bulb plastic is thin so uncertain about longevity First, pay close attention to the length of the strand where the bulbs actually are. As noted in the product description and one of the images, about 8 of the 50 feet is extra cord where there are no bulbs. This is expected of course, since you need some decent length of cord to position and plug into an outlet. Even though I was aware of the specifications, I was still surprised at how short the part of the cord with the bulbs appears. For even a small area, you may need additional sets depending on how much coverage you need and how far you wish to have light bulbs extend across a room, for example.What I like, and which many other products do not offer, is these have two different settings: a dim and a higher brightness setting. I put these in our backyard, and the low/dim setting is already sufficient.After a couple weeks of use in the SoCal sun (sun goes down around 6:30pm these days), the lights remain lit well past midnight. No issues with the solar charging and how long the lights remain powered on.One downside is the clear plastic around each bulb is quite thin and "cheap feeling". I am glad they are not glass, but at the same time I would have wanted something a bit more durable feeling, giving me more confidence that these will last for years outside. I wasn't expecting such excellent customer service. One set of our lights is still working well. We'll take the other set down.We purchased two sets of these lights for the back patio, and one is working beautifully but the other is dim and seems to have electrical issues. They are in the same place, so the sun time for the solar charging is exactly the same. Unfortunately we missed our return window on these because we didn't put them up right away and didn't know that one set was impaired. 😭
