4.0 out of 5 stars Carla M I really liked the dog car seat it met what I needed, but my puppies was still @ her chewing stage she chewed the strap. I liked the doggy car seat so much I bought a second seat for my other car I reached out the seller asked for order numbers but the website and the number was invalid, I could have given this product 5 ⭐️’s but the replacement straps was repurchased from another seller on Amazon One person found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Glad I bought it. It's roomy for my 10-pound dog, and could easily hold a dog that's a little bigger. I added a light-weight fleecy blanket to make it a little more "snuggly", raise her just a little bit, and give her a softer place to rest her head when she puts it on the edge. The width is a little wider than the flat part of the back of my passenger seat, so it sits at a little bit of an angle instead of resting completely flatly against the back of the seat. It is easy to install and to remove, which is important to me. The hook on the strap which connects to the dog's harness is a nice weight and size. Some "seats" seem to use a large carabiner style of clip, and while they seem very sturdy, I wondered about its weight on a small dog. That is one of the reasons I chose this "seat". Considering everything, it is pretty much what I expected, and I am content. My only concern is that the straps might possibly rip out since they seem to be attached only to the fabric, and not to the frame itself. (I can't inspect the seams, but it's possible that they are very secure. I'm trusting that they are.) This may not ever be a problem, and I hope this "seat" will serve us well for years to come. 2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected Product wasn't as big as I hoped and you def have to use all straps provided because the way the manufacturer put top straps on is off balance and your fur baby will literally flip/ tip out of it...wish I could return but threw out the box before trying out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy dog! Shasta's world has been very limited. This booster opened up her world! Very easy to install, and I'm not good at these things. And felt very secure!Shasta's world has been very limited. This just really opened it up! Very easy to install, and I'm not good at these kinds of things. Fabric is plush and very soft. Also felt very secure 😄

2.0 out of 5 stars Only for smaller dogs, maybe 10 pounds It was good for two short trips with my 15 pound dog but then the strap which was sewn into the side ripped from its stiched-in attachment. It said it was good up to 15 pounds but maybe best for dogs less

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my pup happy and out of my lap while driving! I love how easy it is to install this seat or to move it to my husband's truck or from the front to the back seat of my car. As long as the seat has a headrest, you can use this puppy booster seat. There is a strap with a clip that you use to secure your dog when he or she is in the seat. We leave a easy-fastening halter attached to the strap and just snap our little dog into his halter when it's time to go. He can look out the window or curl up with the softly padded sides surrounding him and go to sleep. When he gets into the car, he can stand on the center console and hop into his little booster chair himself. He seems very content when riding this way and it is much safer than having him roaming the car and trying to climb into my lap. I've only had my seat for a couple of months so I can't really comment on how well it will wear. Right now, however, I'm very pleased. 2 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Collapsible, no frills box for your dog to sit in This product advertises online that it supports dogs up to 15 lb however the box itself says 20 lb. I'm not sure which one to believe but I would say that my 13 lb shih Tzu mix fits in it perfectly. He's able to lay down and sit comfortably and the inside is kind of like that shearling material at the bottom of most dog crates. The booster seat itself is basically a collapsible bucket and it can't stand up on its own. The way it keeps its position is by being pulled up and attached to the car seat in order to make it stand up. There seems to be some sort of wire frame inside and the bottom feels pretty sturdy. I would recommend this for a short trips when you don't want your dog climbing all over you while you drive or if you want to give him his own seat but I cannot attest to how safe this product will be in the event of a car accidents. For this reason I would say that letting a dog sit on the floor of the car is pretty safe but if they keep on trying to sit with you in the front seat then this is a good compromise. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars 2 Dogs 1 seat I am happy that I bought this dog booster seat. I have 2 little dogs that love to go for rides in the car. They are both around 10 lbs each. I wanted something that could hold them and keep them secure. Though the seat only has one safety harness that is all I needed. My white dog is very easy going and just sat in the basket. My brown dog is more energetic and high strung. He stayed attached to the strap. With both dogs in there it didn’t have a ton of extra room for them to lay down but that isn’t an issue for them because they like to snuggle together. They both snuggle in the same crate at home.I did purchase another dog seat prior to this one but returned it. It had pvc pipe that slid into the sides of the frame and the bottom was just fabric (no stable support to sit on). My little brown dog was freaking out just sitting in the first seat and I never even had the car started. I bought this seat based on the frame structure and it did the trick. Both dogs can now happily ride in the car everyday when I pick my son up from school. One person found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value This works well to help my puppy travel. He is too small for a dog seat belt, so this is ideal. By elevating him up a bit, it seems to help minimize his nausea. The straps fit great around the middle section of my back seat. It was not so easy to put in the front seat. When you use, the base cannot sit on the seat or it collapses. The basket must be elevated. 3 people found this helpful

It protects the dogs who enjoys riding in their baskets and feel safe. It also protects the leather of my seats from their claws haha One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars My Dog and I Love This Thing! The seat is great for us. We have a 10 lb cockapoo named "Daisy" and she could not be happier since we installed this seat in my Jeep. Previously for trips in the car, she was closed up in a small carrier that did not secure to the vehicle well. Now she gets to sit out in the cabin buckled-in with the rest of the family. This seat gets it right with the materials: it's cozy with the fleece liner on the inside, and durable with the metal frame & clasps, and canvas on the outside. We haven't had to clean it yet, but it's nice that the liner is removable for easy washing. Also, for anyone concerned about it working in rear bench seats, that is where I have mine and it works great. As long as your bench splits to fold down, you shouldn't have any issues. For safety's sake, we use this seat in conjuction with a regular harness that goes around her chest instead of attaching it directly to her collar. Which brings me to another thing I like about this seat vs. some of the others: the nylon strap that that we connect to her harness is ancored at the floor of the seat, where it meets the back. This allows me to shorten the strap sufficiently so that she can't jump or climb out, and still provides her with enough range of movement to sit, stand or lay. Other seats have the same strap anchored at the top of the seat where enough to lay down could be enough to climb out. 56 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Easy and Dogs Love It This doggy seat is a lifesaver. The dogs took to using it instantly and really are calmer and quicker to relax on a drive using this seat. They love that they can see. It is so much easier for the driver to have the dogs contained and happy. So glad I got this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my new pup This seat was easy to install and stable for my new puppy. The only issue we have with it is that the belt that attaches to the puppy's harness is a little too long and he is able to jump out of the seat, so I need to watch him. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Liked it so much I bought a second one. When my last little dog passed away, I gave away everything of hers and swore to never get another one because I was so heart broken. Fast forward a year and I'm once again a puppy mommy. I had had this same seat for my last dog and liked it so much that I bought it again for my new puppy. The quality is excellent. I was glad to find it in black and grey to match the interior of my car. For reference, my puppy is a four month old 5.5 lb Chorkie. She absolutely loves this seat. She took to it immediately and does not try to jump out. If the safety strap is too long, just tie it in a knot. Never ever attach it to a collar, as you pet could hang, always use a harness. If weather permits and I leave her for a short period in my car, I take her out of the car seat and place her in the back seat on her bed with a seatbelt, or in a crate. My last dog Molly, who passed away a year ago was 16 lbs and fit into this size seat as well.It is adjustable in height and there is a strap that goes around the back of the seat as well. It fits onto the front seat as well as the back seat of my 2017 Toyota Highlander. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product! Im so happy I got 2 of these boosters for my small dogs. They used to ride in crates for safety and to keep them off my lap while driving. Also, one of my littles has separation anxiety and this booster gives him a chance to not be in a "cage" and not tear up anything in the car. My Pom got a minor eye infection and the Vet said prob due to getting dirt in her eye. Oops, I used to let them put their heads out the window. Now I put the window down a little for circulation and they still get to sniff without sticking their heads all the way out. The seats are super easy to install in the car, they are sturdy and they look nice. * If you have a split 40/60 back seat, buy a "replacement duffle bag strap" on amazon for $8, problem solved! I did don't want a booster in front because I do not have the option to turn off the airbag. The booster is slightly shallow, my 12lb toy aussie X and 8lb Pomeranian fit with room to turn around, stand on edge and lay down. WE get lots of smiles riding around when the dogs are in their seats :) There is a tether to attach to your dogs harness. I highly recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great seat I have a 9 lb mixed breed dog. When we got the seat we put it on the couch where he naps and put him in it. He smelled around for a bit, then curled up and took a nap. We moved it around to a few different places and wherever we put it he would get in and lay down. After about a week we were taking him out, so we put it in the back seat and hooked him in. He whined for the entire 20 minute drive. It was about 2 weeks before we were taking him in the car again, but this time was a 2 day road trip. He whined off and on for a couple of hours, but after that he was quiet. He looked out the window some, and slept some. But the miracle came when I had to leave him in the car by himself for a minute. Usually he loses his mind, tries to get out of the car with me, and cries really bad the entire time I'm gone. This time of course he couldn't get out. But he was completely calm. He didn't make a peep. He calmly watched me walk away. When I got back into the car he was equally as calm. It was AMAZING! I had my doubts after that first short trip, but after spending 2 days on the road with this seat I'm a believer. Before the seat he was always either in my lap or trying to sneak over to my lap while I was driving. Now he's safe in case of an accident, but also apparently feels more secure. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, soft, adjustable height, sturdy. I bought this for a couple different reasons..1- My dog always wants to be in our lap while we're driving, and it's exhausting after we've been on the road for hours. Especially when my 11 year old wants his lap to be able to write in a notebook.2- I wanted a booster that was raised up, so our other dog has room to lay underneath to save space when we're driving across country.I JUST installed this and it was very quick & easy in our F350 truck. I haven't actually went for a drive with my dog in it yet, but I'll update this if there are any problems/concerns.Update: my skittish dog, the all black one in my photos, doesn't like to stay in it too long- but with some treats and training I think we can get it worked out. My other dog who weighs 25lbs loves to sit and sleep in it. It's great for looking out the window without having to have the window all the way down. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Protection for New Pom I recently inherited a new Pomeranian who, as all dogs are prone to do, insists on accompanying us on every car ride. I was looking for a solution to prevent the new kid from ruining the leather seats and car interior. I also wanted to ensure her safety so in the event of a sudden stop she didn't go flying (she's a dog, not a bird) as well as keep her under control when she had to briefly stay in the car unattended.I ordered this booster seat and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. She loves the seat as she can easily see outside and it is her own spot in the car. I love it because it has incorporated an adjustable leash that keeps her in the seat to prevent her running around the car while it is in motion or when I leave her alone for a few minutes while I go into the store. And sure enough, in a sudden stop it keeps her in place and safe. The unit is well designed and sturdy. My only suggestion for improvement in the design would be to have a padded strap. As designed now the bare nylon strap from which the bed hangs from the head rest will eventually chafe and mar the leather seat. I solved that problem on my own by purchasing a felt seat belt shoulder pad with velcro fasteners ($4) and slipping it over the nylon strap. It solves the problem of potential long-term damage to the seat. It would be nice if such a strap pad was included even the unit cost a couple dollars more.I would certainly buy this again and have already recommended it to several friends. I'm happy and the Pom is happy and that's what counts. 113 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Our little guy can see the world! This car seat allows our 9lb Shih-Tzu to see the world go by. He is normally nervous when he rides in the car (he thinks he's going to the vet!), but with this seat being raised he can look out the window and it seems to have calmed him down. It also keeps him from roaming around the car and sitting on the seats. Be aware that the clip that attaches to the collar or harness doesn't open wide enough for thicker rings. It fits his collar but not his harness, so I purchased a spring clip, and it works just fine. I didn't take off any stars though because his harness just may be different than others. Overall, it looks good, and my little guy seems to like it! 4 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Well designed and perfect for my puppy My puppy Chip has decided that this booster seat is going to work great for him. He is still very nervous and clingy riding in the car and prefers to be towed in his hard crate in the back seat. I like this design a lot, it is well made and sturdy and looks nice too. I love the pocket, canvas all around, harness clip, and easy to put where you want in the vehicle. Why I chose this one is the price is great and it is just nice! Other competitors designs of booster seats have mesh along the bottom which poses problems as his claws get caught in it and scares him. The frames aren't as sturdy and collapse as other reviewers have mentioned crate is the safest way to ride but he misses out on fun stuff like riding shot gun and seeing where we are going.I let him sit in it a few times while parked in the driveway to get him used to the idea and we tried it out last night for a short trip and he approves! 5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Toy Fox Terrier! I bought this based on one of the reviews of how it was made of metal inside the cover. I have had one other dog carrier for the car and it didn't work out it was a nuisance. Never looked like it was in shape stretching it was a problem. Anyway this one is very neat-looking super easy to attach because I don't want to even say assemble as it has nothing to do with assembly. I have a piece or a strap that goes right into the seat belt that I bought separately and it's like an extra security for him leaping out of the car if I have to stop short. So I take that extra strap and strap it behind his harness on the d-ring but there's also one in this dogs eat that you can attach to his d-ring as well. Barkley took to it right away and he even fell asleep after the first half hour. Berkeley is about a foot long and he's about 11 in from his Paul to his hind quarters. And he can see out the window perfectly. Attaching it was a breeze you just pull it out of the box that it arrives in the top long strap goes behind the headrest of your car seat and that's adjustable and then there's a another to attach to his d-ring. The dogs eat is not sloppy looking it looks very neat the container itself where the dog sits is square and it has a very nice exterior and the interior is very soft for him to be comfortable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice lap saver! Up to 20 lbs my butt! Our chihuahua mix (not sure what else she is) is only 9 lbs. but she is a sturdy rather wide girl and this basket is pretty much a perfect fit for her, maybe a bit small. She can sit comfortably in it, she hasn't tried lying down yet (except with her paws on the frame edge) so I'm not sure how she will fit that way - probably like a loaf of bread in a bread pan. It's easy to get in and out of the car and works in my front and back seat and my husband's front seat (back seat doesn't have headrests). She isn't quite used to it yet but seems to really enjoy being able to see out of the windows. I think we will add a little cushion of some kind so she can sit up higher as it's a bit deep for her. My only real complaint is that I wish the harness strap connection had a more open hook, our harness has two rings on it to connect to a leash and only one fits on this strap hook. Also it would be nice if the other end of the harness strap connected to the seat with a D ring or something, our dog ends up getting the strap all twisted up as she switches positions. Maybe that will be better when (if) she gets used to the seat and settles down. 7 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for all road trips I love the look but it was too small! I need a size where my 10lb Maltipoo can at least sit, stand, turn around and lay down when he is done standing and looking out of the window. I had to return it for those reasons.

4.0 out of 5 stars Would recommend to a friend Seems well made and fairly sturdy. My little dog didn't like it at first, but eventually figured out she could see out the windows, and did better about not trying to get out of it. The one downside is the strap that clips to the dog's halter easily gets tangled around the dog if they turn around. And it's hard to release your dog, especially while driving. Also it doesn't prevent the dog from going over the edge unless you make it so short they can't move or get comfortable. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for this reason. They really should have two clips, one on each side, to prevent the dog from turning around or going too far to either side and attempting to jump out. But that's really my only complaint and otherwise it's a good product. You will have to work with your dog using treats and positive reinforcement over a period of time. I recommend doing this without driving away first, and then with short test drives before embarking on a long drive or driving in traffic, until your dog gets used to it and doesn't attempt to jump out while you're driving. A final thought. I do not believe this will safely protect your dog like a seatbelt would a person, especially in a seat with an airbag. Also, do NOT clip to a collar unless you want your dog to get a broken neck if you're in an accident. Always clip to a halter. Overall I'd recommend the product. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars I ❤️ this dog car seat I say “SEAT” and she jumps in the car and right into her seat. Mine is on the passenger seat. On short trips I just fold it up for my human passenger. On longer trips I can take it off in10 seconds! Easy to put back on 2(30 sec).I do use a vest on her & my own “seatbelt” which is attached to the headrest. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, safe car seat for our furbabies This is a great little dog carseat. My Morkie, Shiloh, at first had to get used to it, because he is a "wild child" and he made it very well known he was not, at all happy being confined to his carseat. However, I bought it for this very same reason. I wanted him to be in the car safe, in one spot, not all over, front and back, vice versa. So, once he came to the conclusion this would be for our trip he finally became "somewhat" adjusted to it. However, I believe it may take another long trip for him to accept this will be his place and therefore it's best he just accept it. Afterall he isn't the boss, although he'd like to think he is. Besides my rebellious Morkie's behavior this carseat is perfect. It is well made, safer than dog running wild in the car. It has a fur lining around the rim of the box (seat) which I really liked. I placed a covered foam in there so it'd be softer for Shiloh to lay on, along with a soft blanket. It is fairly deep so there is sufficient space of which to do this. It has a latch to secure your furbaby in along to his vest. I wouldn't suggest a collar only because if he climbs over and out, as Shiloh initially did trying to escape he could choke. Make sure your furbaby has enough leadway to lie down if he so chooses, to. Id certainly purchase this again and may just purchase another one for my truck. So, I don't need to be switching this one back and forth, from car to truck. It attaches to the passenger seat securely and Shiloh's hangs about 5 in. off passenger front seat so he can look out of window. Great dog seat. Shiloh weighs about 7pds and fits in his seat perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Withstands The Test Of Time I purchased this safety seat for my 4.3 lb. Maltese , 7/6/2018, four vehicles ago: Chrysler, Town & Country; 2019 Ford, Edge; 2018 Nissan, Frontier; 2022 Ford, 150 - Aaron loves riding on 20 and we can get back to camping. Over the years he has been safely buckled into the seat by his harness and we have toured all over the West Coast. Additionally, when the lining becomes dirty or soiled, I lift it out, wash it on gentle cycle in the washing machine, dry it and replace it back in the frame on the Velcro tabs. Aaron loves his seat, the cuddly lining causes him to instantly relax and lay down as he is reassured of his safety in the back seat❣️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality After returning a few of similar seats by other vendors I finally came across this company. The minute I unpacked it my cat jumped into it and curled up for a nap. This is a high quality seat made out of sturdy fabric outside and soft fabric inside. None of those toxic chemical smells and flimsy fabric of cheap knock offs. This is the brand to go with!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Doggie Car Seat!! My little dog is safe and comfortable in the car. Straps attach to the head rest and around the seat and a clip attaches to her harness. The liner is removable and washable. Plenty of room for my 12 pound dog. I'm very happy with this purchase! One person found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Great for Long and Short Car Rides I love this! I have a monster toy poodle who as she gets old is awful in the car. she doesn't want to just sit and ride she thinks she needs to wonder around. I live in Colorado and do several trips a year to Montana (11 hours) and this has been a lifesaver. When we first get in the car she can be really out of control so the opportunity to lock her into the seat has been really nice. I attach the mini leash to her harness and it keeps her in the seat but not so tight that she can't move around an look outside. After she calms down I usually unattached her and she continues to stay in the seat. I did ended up having to figure out how to support it a little more. Using the straps that go around the seat do secure it pretty good but it felt just a little safer with a couple of couch throw pillows pushed underneath it. I also ended up putting a small pillow between the seat and the side of it. There was enough of a gap there that needed to be plugged but that could just be how my car seats are built. This felt really high quality and sturdy. The outside is made out of a good material which will clean up really well if it gets dirty. The inside is nice I did end up throwing a blanket over the top which the dog seemed to like better then just sitting in it with how it comes. I hate to admit this but even when I'm not hauling the dog around in this sometimes I will leave it in the car. It makes a great purse and bag holder. All in all I'm a big fan of this. I always thought these were kink of hokey but I wish that I had got this years ago!

4.0 out of 5 stars My dog uses it begrudingly I have a 10 lb shih-tzu/dachsund mix. He loves coming in the car with me, but has a hard time seeing out the window. He also tends to fall off the seat during turns or braking. I bought this hoping it would help keep him safer and happier in the car.The first time we tried it, he HATED it. I could not keep him in the seat to save my life. Put him in and he immediately jumped out again. It was like torture to him.Luckily, it comes with a built-in leash. So, for a few weeks I harnessed my poor pup to the thing. The first time I latched him in, he jumped out three times before realizing it was impossible and resigned himself to his fate of sitting in the box, whining the whole time. Each time it got a little easier, though, and finally I was able to get him to ride in it without having to buckle him in. Now he rides in it if we ask him to.But who better to ask than the pup himself? So I asked him what he thought of his doggy seat. This is what he said.. "... (eye roll) ... (sigh) ... (mmph) ... " Translated into English that means, "I have to admit, it is much easier to see out the window now, and it's not SO uncomfortable, but I still just don't like it and wish we could find something that worked better." Sorry, doggy. I can't guarantee you'd like anything better than this one, so we're keeping it. 6 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars My new puppy loved riding in the car seat. What I dislikes is that our 3.7 lb Maltese back leg got twisted in the strap and we had to cut him out of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Easy to install. Looks good. 4 instead of 5 stars because the bottom was pretty thin and not as sturdy as the one I was replacing. I put a thin flat bed in the. Bottom that I already had for a bit more cushion. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for driving around town Last year, I bought this car seat for my little sheltie who has mild carsickness to make car rides more safe and comfortable for her. Raising her up off the seat really seems to help her feel better during our trips and she often enjoys curling up and napping or watching the world go by. She is 17 lbs and about 15" tall, and this seat is big enough to sit, stand, turn around, and cuddle up in. I wouldn't choose this for dogs much bigger than her, though, since I feel it would require the dog to curl up more than would be comfortable. The seat is easy to install with one strap that goes around just under the head rest, and another larger strap that circles around the seat itself. Both straps are adjustable so that you can adjust the seat higher or lower with ease. The seat liner can be removed to shake out dirt and debris, or to be cleaned in a washing machine. The doggy seatbelt is made to clip onto a body harness and is adjust so that you can tighten it enough so that your dog cannot jump out of the seat, if it is so inclined. One note about the seatbelt is that when tightened down so the dog can't jump out, it can put a bit of downward pressure on your dog's back if the clip is directly on the harness. I would get a harness where the clip ring is on a flexible loop to give your dog's back some relief. Thankfully, we haven't been in a situation where the seatbelt could be tested in a real scenario, but it feels like it would do a good job to me.I liked this seat enough that I got a second one for my fiancé's vehicle. However, if you are going on long car trips (3+ hrs of driving with no substantial breaks), I would still opt for using your dog's kennel as it provides more room for your dog to stretch out while still providing safety. 9 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars They seem to like it. One of my pups is 10 pounds the other is 4 pounds. It seems they are pretty cozy in here together and I think the higher walls make them feel safe. The other elevated one we bought had two short of walls so they were jumping out of it, but this one they seem to be pretty cozy together. I’m not sure if it’s worth $40. May be more like 25, nonetheless we are keeping this one. 2 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars My baby loves this seat! I thought I had a pic of my baby as a much bigger pup, but I don't. She loves this seat!!! Right now she's 12 pounds and still loves this seat!! It's adjustable so now she sits up and looks out the window. I wish the strap was longer so when I put the seat in the back I can put it on the wider fold- down seat of the car. The strap is too short to go around the wide fold down back seat. So when you're driving this car seat has to go on the side where you can't look in the rear view mirror and see your pup. It may depend on the car what side you have. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Loves it so much she doesn’t want to get out! We tried two other car seats before we bought this one, and Cocoa hated both. She always tried to climb over to my side when I was driving and refused to stay seated. Or when I harnessed her in her other car seats, she’d bark the entire time because she wanted to get out of the seat. But Cocoa loved this car seat immediately. This car seat is high enough so she can see outside of the window and is deep enough so she can fall asleep in it.Here is a picture of Cocoa today after running errands with me. After we got home, I tried to get her out of her car seat, but she wouldn’t let me pick her up. Then she fell asleep, so now I’m sitting in my dark garage waiting for her to wake up because this car seat is so comfortable. She is a 10.5lb Shih-tzu mix and she takes up almost the entire car seat so this may be too small for larger pups. Also, we use a small blanket in this seat since the cushion that comes with it is really thin. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars My puppy loves it My puppy loves going on car rides in his booster seat. It’s smaller than I expected but it’s perfect for my 11 lb puppy for a few more months- we will have to get a bigger size eventually. I like the clip for his collar so he doesn’t try and get out. It’s comfortable for him and I love getting able to take my furry friend on errands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfy & cozy. My pup loves this car seat. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because the tether is barely long enough. He can barely move once it is clipped on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Total stability and safety. Ok so here’s the deal. I have two very vocal chihuahuas. One is 4lb and one is 6lb. We usually crate them when we travel and they cry for the whole time we are in the car. These baskets eliminate that. We strapped one to the back of the driver’s seat to save space as we have another pup that has a headrest harness and had to pack the Jeep full for a road trip. What works about these baskets is that they are sturdy. The harness clip in the basket is long and also adjustable so you can shorten it like I had to for my apricot chi. He’s too active and will half jump out but he has room to circle and lay down. They can also see out the window which helps with anxiety and motion sickness. Before we rode out I took off the detachable Velcro Sherpa and washed it. I washed on gentle and air dried. It was easy to reattach. I also laid blankets down in the bottom with a roll on one side so they can lay their chins on it.The straps over the head rest are sturdy and so are the straps around the seat are also sturdy but a little short so a regular seat will work but a double back seat won’t. They hang off the back of a seat too, as we did for this trip. We tried then in our other car that has leather seats and they do slide around on leather while Installing. If you have leather seats you just need to pull the straps really tight. They are just as stable once secured. My dogs stand and lean on the edge and it does not buckle. But this product if you are looking for a sturdy basket that sits up high. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful for anxious pup car riders! Received this item in a couple days with Prime shipping... Prior to even looking for something to have in the car to transport our pup (she was 10 wks when we first got the carrier, about 3 lbs; she's now 16 wks and about 5 lbs), she was very anxious and nervous in the car. She would go back and forth btwn my husband and I, didn't matter who was driving. She would whimper and try to crawl up onto our shoulders. Trying to drive by yourself with her was quite a challenge! When the carrier arrived, it did have that distinct "new" smell that other reviewers have mentioned. We added one of her blankets in it and we laid it on the floor in my office, where I spend a lot of the daytime, so she could smell it and get used to seeing it. The first afternoon after setting it up this way, she fell asleep in it right on her own (see photos). Usually she'll want to nap in my lap or office chair while I'm working. We also purchased a harness to hook up to the clip in the carrier, instead of connecting it directly to her neck collar. I also put a blanket/stuffed animal pillow set I got from Costco into the carrier so she wouldn't be at the bottom of it since she's so tiny. The first few times we put her in the carrier in the car, she was still anxious, but did not try to jump out of it. It was great for us cause we didn't have to worry about her trying to climb btwn my husband's lap and my lap. It's been about a month since we received the carrier and we try to take her for short car rides maybe 2-4 times/week. We have used the carrier to take her on a car ride that was just over an hour. She's not as anxious or nervous on rides now, and is just starting to get comfortable in napping in it while in the car.Overall, the quality of the carrier seems to be pretty good and it's holding up well. The "fur" lining sheds a little but doesn't bother us. The "new" smell is not as strong as when it first arrived, but it is still there. The strap adjusts well and we can run in btwn the 2 head rests in the back of my car (Honda Fit) and in the front row of my husband's truck (Dodge Ram - see photos). The strap can be adjusted to be short enough to have her be able to see out the window in front too (Fit - see photos).Great product, would definitely recommend to others. If you have a smaller pup, like us, I'd advise to add a small pillow or something more plush into the carrier so your pup can see out of the top. 23 people found this helpful

3.0 out of 5 stars Small dogs only I like the easy installation but this seat is for very small dogs. Misty weights 15lbs ( seats says 20lbs) & when she stands up to look out the window it flips over. Should have a safety strap across the front. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Anxious senior pup loves it Should’ve bought this ages ago. My 16 year old chihuahua-something-something mix has always been anxious/restless on car rides and loves to look out the window but my seats are pretty low and slanted back so it’s always been difficult for him to prop himself up to get a good look. This booster seat not only situations him perfectly to look out with ease but he also got comfortable enough to instantly perch his head on the edge and relax. this NEVER happens. I was concerned about the size at first, but he fits perfectly (weighs around 15 pounds, small but much larger than a standard chihuahua). I was also concerned about the straps and the frame laying sturdily enough against my car seat because it’s not flat and shaped to fit a human back but with his weight in and the straps tightened, it’s secure and remains flat - his weight is evenly distributed and it doesn’t shift. highly recommend! 4.0 out of 5 stars Decent, Safe Way to Ride with Small Dogs I bought this for my mom's two Maltese pups, they are about 5 pounds each and according to her, nervous in the car. I thought it might help with that if they could be closer to her and see out the window, which this little basket allows for while keeping them safe and not running around on her lap while she drives. I tried it out in my Explorer, and as a tip, it helps if you sit your front seat upright to keep the basket level at a higher position on the chair. It has a clip in it so you can hook your dogs in. I used a splitter connected to that to clip in both dogs at one time, but apparently you can buy a second clip on a small lead just like the one already in the basket. With the splitter lead, the dogs had a little too much lead and if they had jumped out, would just be hanging from the basket. They had body harnesses so I wasn't worried about them choking or anything though. For the most part the basket worked well and as advertised. The little dogs were in there pretty securely and had a little room to move around, hang on the edge to look out, and even lay down; but keep in mind they're pretty tiny. You could probably have fit a small blanket in there, too, but the inside was soft and padded enough for them already. They seemed pretty content once they got comfortable, and mostly just laid down or looked at me while I drove. My mom said she didn't have as much luck with keeping them in the basket or with them being nervous in the car, but I think that's more due to her very high-energy level relationship with them, she's just not good at being calm with them so they feed off her frantic energy. It still kept them safe, was easy to put in her car, and adjust for different levels so they could see their surroundings. 8 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!! I have a small 13 pound Jack Russell mix that feels she has to be on my shoulders when I’m driving. She also barks and lunges at passing cars while she’s on my shoulders. Obviously this is not very safe for either of us or anyone else on the road so I decided we need a dog seat for her. After researching many of the booster seats offered on Amazon I decided on the Devoted Doggy seat. It didn’t have many reviews so I was a little wary, but the reviews it had were all very good and it looked like this was just a new product on the market and hadn’t had time to build-up a lot of reviews. When I received the seat I was very impressed. Just as described, it has a metal frame and hard bottom. It’s also made of a good quality canvas, and has a nice fleece cover that’s removable for washing. Unlike other products that use the lobster claw to connect the safety leash to the seat, the Devoted Doggy has a sturdy D ring so no accidents can occur (this was a big concern of mine after reading other products reviews about dogs that got their foot caught and injured in the lobster claw). The seat was easy to install in the car (tried it on both the front and back seat) and my dog fits perfectly in it. She also has enough room to lie down in it if she wants to. I’ve taken her for two test runs just to start getting her used to it and surprisingly she didn’t go nuts like I thought she would. While she was obviously not happy at being strapped in, she seemed comfortable and very quickly settled in. She tends to shed a LOT in the car and this was the first time I’ve taken her on a ride and not arrived home with hair all over my car! My daughter has a small dog too, and she was so impressed with how my dog took to this that she’s considering purchasing one for her dog. So far I have found nothing negative about this booster seat and highly recommend it. 528 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for around town errands We have been using a pillow stack (large, square, firm floor pillows, not bed pillows) covered in an easily washable twin fitted bed sheet for our pup, combined with her shoulder harness attached to the car seat with a short, shock-absorbing lead for safety. Our beloved but now passed previous dog, a 24 pound puggle, loved this setup, as does our current pup (an 11 pound chi-min terrier mix) on everything from short errands to multi-day car trips. Just like people, to avoid motion sickness they need to be able to see outside during the ride. They also they love feeling involved in the adventure, plus it's important to have them secured in case of an accident or even just a hard braking, and to prevent them from distracting or interfering with the driver. The only problem with the pillow stack is that it's a bit of a job on the odd occasion when it needs to be moved between our vehicles. In looking for a quicker, easier way to accomplish some of the same advantages of the stack but in a package that's easier to move and set up, we decided to try this booster seat.Pros - the seat is indeed easy to move between vehicles, the height is adjustable, and it keeps them secure and able to see out, occupied, involved, and (mostly) satisfied during the ride. Cons - it wouldn't have been nearly big enough for our puggle (the size of a pug), and is barely big enough for our 11 pound chi-terrier. She can sit up in it, but laying down even in a curled up position is a little cramped and not nearly as comfortable as her pillow stack. To be able to see over the edge of the basket without her chin resting on the edge with her head tilted up semi-uncomfortably, she has to be sitting up, not stretched out or in the Sphinx position, as she likes to ride on her stack. That gets tiring for her on anything but short errands around town, so we'll still use her pillow stack on longer car trips. Also, this booster seat isn't very well padded, but that's easily fixable. I could tell she was having a hard time staying comfortable, so I got 1" thick foam from the hobby or sewing department of a big box store, cut it to fit, and placed it in the bottom of the booster seat under the fleecy liner. She seems to be more comfy and less fidgety now and can see over the edge a little better while laying down curled up, but of course it does nothing to give her enough room to stretch out or do the Sphinx. It's too bad they don't offer a slightly larger model with the basket bottom just an inch or two wider and/or deeper (front to back) without the sides being taller. 9 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Car safety for tiny dog My spoiled dog would prefer to be held while riding in the car, but clearly it’s not safe. This car seat is perfect for my 5 lb Brussels Griffon. She can turn around and lay down comfortably. It’s advertised for dogs up to 20 lbs, but I doubt that. My 21lb Frenchie cannot fit in it (see photo for size comparison to my Griff). But it’s great for tiny dogs, and I love how it can be elevated so the dog can look out the window and it avoids taking up seat room. The seat easily folds down flat when not in use and does not require assembly (as many other similar car seats do). The Sherpa lining is soft and there is a zipper pocket in the front. I like that it had metal clips, and not cheap plastic ones. This seat worked so well, I got another for my husbands truck. He has a bench back seat, but we were still able to make it work by slipping both straps over the headrest and it’s still very stable. Great buy. 3 people found this helpful
