5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable Training Device I purchased this deterrent device to help train my two 1-year old golden doodles to stop barking and to stop jumping on people. They get super excited when we come home after being gone for any length of time and when visitors come in the house. This usually results in them jumping up on us and/or visitors. We have been using the deterrent device to train them to not jump up on us/visitors and to immediately get on their pillows for a treat; starting with just the audible beep button and reverting to the ultrasonic button if needed. We are at the point to where if they see that I have the device in my hand, they usually calm down and go to their pillow when commanded. I've had limited experience using the device to deter barking, but so far it does distract them from barking if I happen to catch them in the act. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted 10/10 After replacing 2 citronella collars that wouldn’t hold a charge anymore, I started looking for something different. I also wanted something we could easily take in the car with us since our house is on the market and we spend a lot of time in the car for showings and open houses. This product was perfect. Our main issue at home is our dog reacting to the TV mainly to other dogs and heaven forbid a horse pops on there. I watched the instructional video and tried one beep first and when he didn’t respond I used one push of the ultrasonic button and he immediately stopped and ran over to me. We had a repeat of this about an hour later and he hasn’t barked since (3days) at the TV. Yesterday we had to leave for an open house. In the car he reacts to any dog or man that walks by or pulls up. With a single beep he stopped barking no need for the ultrasonic button. And after having to beep him once more an hour or so later he was quiet the entire car trip. 10/10 our dog is a 3yr old Boxer/Rott Mix

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the concept but So far no This is hard, So far this isn’t working for my pup. That’s not to say it DOESNT work. My puppy is a black lab. There were 7 pups in the litter. Breeder was a first time breeder. Mom was snapping at the puppies when they jumped and bit on her and snapped when they played. Breeder thought mom was fed up and removed her not knowing mom was doing her job and teaching and correcting them. So from 5-8 weeks they had no rules, no teaching, no correction. This has made them play very aggressively. They aren’t being mean, they just don’t know better. I had hoped this would snap her out of it by correcting her when she starts amping up. I’m going to keep trying it and hope that if nothing else she will learn the sound with my correction so that at some point I can just click a button. I honestly had hoped this would be magic and stop her and that she would look at me for direction. But so far im constantly getting up and making her sit. Unfortunately it’s (Temporary) of course. I gave it 5 stars because it’s easy to use. I love the concept and hope it will help down the road.Update the company has been absolutely amazing trying to find something that works. I will absolutely be using them for my go to place while training my furbaby. I’ve never had a company step up and care so much. I do highly recommend their products. I can see this working for most dogs. It definitely got my sons dogs attention. My puppy just happens to be very stubborn and determined. 9 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Don’t hesitate, buy it! We’ve currently got five dogs including a puppy who, prior to purchasing this, had the bad habit of barking excessively in the house, especially upon waking in the morning. All of our dogs are trained to an underground fence which has a warning buzz if they get to close to the perimeter. While handheld, this device has the same premise, a warning buzz before activating the high pitched sound. In less than a day, the excessive barking stopped. I suspect being trained to the fence helped them understand this so quickly. I love that unlike a bark collar, your dog can bark, if necessary, without getting shocked. FYI, I can’t hear the sound at all, but our cats can! Considering the cost, I’m so glad we risked the purchase. Great battery life, just an amazing product (and I rarely write reviews)!

5.0 out of 5 stars It works! I had gotten to the end of my rope with my dogs barking. Every time someone walked by the house, every time someone walked in even if they had only walked outside for a moment and came back in he would bark like a maniac. I couldn’t take the barking or the screaming and yelling and anger that came from my family every time my dog would bark at them. I started looking for training devices and settled on this device over a collar because I want to be able to control when my dog is disciplined. The device arrived Sunday and in less than a week I have noticed a clear difference in the amount of barking that’s happening, and he actually listens when I ask him to stop. I would definitely recommend this device to anyone who’s struggling to control their dogs barking.

5.0 out of 5 stars This works like nothing I have tried before I have two mini schnauzers. I had all but given up hope of ever breaking them of their perpetual barking. In the past I have tried positive reinforcement with treats and praise, citronella collars, beep collars, shock collars, throwing coffee cans with coins, spraying with a hose...everything!Then I bought this, along with an outdoor box ultrasonic for when they are on the patio.OMG, the first time they started barking I said my perennial "stop" followed by a beep from this device. They didn't stop, so I tried again using the ultrasonic beep. Immediately they both stopped barking and walked over to me. Same thing with the outside box, which is equally good but from a different vendor. Now all I have to do is show them I have the beeper in my hand and they both stop barking immediately. So I tried it on our cat too, when she climbed the curtains. One ultrasonic beep and she came right down, never to climb up again.Since my pets remember the device in my hand, they won't become accustomed to the beep either, meaning this should work forever. The one thing that the box unit does that this one doesn't is allow you to change the frequency so that if the dogs do become accustomed, you can get them with the new frequency.Wonderful product, great instructions. Try this. It may not work with your dogs, as every ear is different, but for mine it was fantastic. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Take my Money I’ve been having trouble for years with very inconsiderate neighbors and their dime sized yappy dogs that come straight to the my fence and start barking. FOR HOURS!!!! Once I got this device and zapped it one time, they shut up. Every time they barked, I pointed it in the direction of the dog and pushed the button for about 3 seconds. No more problem that day. Next day the yappers came out and you could tell they were testing the water and barking here and there. I went outside, blasted them every time they barked and they shut up. The bark device stays ready to go, but I think we’ve trained these two yappers in two days. I freakin love it!!! Really wish it worked on the neighbors instead of the dogs. It’s the neighbors that deserve the uncomfortable noise! 8 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars I Was Skeptical, But It Really Does Work! I have a Boston Terrier that is full of energy and a playful but incessant bark. She would bark at our cat to try to get her to play, and it was really stressing the cat out. I came across this device as a possible solution to the barking, and was a bit skeptical, but figured it was worth a shot. I watched the video that showed the simple command sequence they recommended, and it just… worked. Literally within a day. Hours, really. I was honestly shocked. After a few days, the verbal part of the command sequence was all my pup needed to stop barking. We rarely need to use the device now. The best part is, the sound not only catches her attention, but it excites her rather than scaring her, which was another potential concern I had. This thing was probably my top purchase of the year. I don’t write many reviews on Amazon, but was compelled to write one for this. If you’re on the fence like me, you should definitely give it a try! One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Sellers are very responsive This worked GREAT the first few days. It got our dog to stop the unwanted behavior immediately. After that it made NO difference. I kept it charged as recommended. So I thought we got a defective unit. I contacted the company. They sent out a new unit and they sent a collar to try in addition. Turns out the unit itself wasn’t the issue. The seller explained that some dogs just do not respond. The collar does help deter our dog from barking and whining. But we wanted the hand held unit to work because we use it for other behaviors than barking. I would recommend this product for anyone to at least try it because if it works for your dog it’s great to have and if it doesn’t the seller will try to make it right. We will unfortunately have to request a refund. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Deterrent that works! Love that is is rechargeable. I had to purchase because of my neighbors dogs. We could not be in our backyard with out multiple yapping little dogs. It was awful. Our neighbors tried to stop it but well very unsuccessful. I did let my neighbors know I was going to purchase this for that reason and after watching their dogs dig to come under our good neighbor fence.Well no more yapping dogs. They stop and run away from the fence immediately. As we have just started this training at the fence, I am unaware if they will start again but I can say it stops them immediately using the ultra sonic sound. My poor dogs don't care for it as they are not the issue here so I try to keep them inside when this happens but it works on my dog when they won't come in the front yard extremely well.I love the lock out on this so it does not accidently get turn on in the home or your pocket. I highly recommend this for safe training. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Dog Is Barking Much Less After One Day I have a VERY smart dog who barks whenever he hears one of the neighbors coming or going in my building. I tried positive training where I would give him the command, "Quiet!" and when he was quiet give him a treat. Soon, when there was no noise he would stand in front of me, start barking, then stop, waiting for his treat. The only other thing I knew about was shock collars and I was not going to do that to him. This device is easy to use, and although it is considered aversive conditioning, it is not painful, just annoying to the dog, so I am OK with that. I have used it for one day on the first setting (lights) and on day two he is making a short, low growl instead of a full-on barking spree.Advantages: The price is very reasonable compared to others I looked at. It is portable, can easily fit in a pocket. It seems to be working on my dog, who is an incredibly smart, but stubborn terrier. The customer service is excellent. I had a question and they responded almost immediately - on a weekend.Disadvantages: The device has to be pointed at the dog so I have to be ready at all times. If I am in the shower and he starts barking there is nothing I can do. There are some stationary models but they are quite pricey and I would need several to cover my large apartment. I am hoping as he learns not to bark at noises in the hall I will need it less and less frequently.I can't comment on the battery life since I have not had it long enough. It did not come charged but it only takes about 2 hours to get a full charge. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I am sure my neighbors are as well. 9 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars I think it really works! I just got this a day or two ago (Dec 31). I was worried about using it because when I took it out of the package (very nice packaging and a quality item) and used the first beep, my 70 lb baby of a pit/staffie mix fled in abject fear! I then saw the directions to watch the video before using it. I didn't get to use it until today post instructions. My Buddy loves to pull ahead of me on the leash. He knows heel but will only come back to heel position when he knows he will get a treat then pulls ahead again. Tonight I took him on a walk with the trainer and only had to use it 3x with the first button, telling him to heel, and he heeled all the rest of the walk without a hitch. I was afraid that he'd keep trying, but he didn't! I am so psyched. He is like a toddler with ADHD so I am very interested to see how this works when he goes into barking mode with visitors or when I get a delivery. I did get to use it once on our walk when he started to get excited at a dog across the street. I used the first button 2x and he came right back to watching me and listening, no barking!. I think this is a great tool so far, but will edit this review about the barking as I put it to use.EDIT: here it is 4 days later and I haven't had to use the sonic tool more than 1 or 2 x on our walks. Since I used it the first day, he has heeled like a charm and the only time I had to use it again was when he saw a dog and wanted to bark. I just clicked it 1x and he settled right down, heeled and whined a little. This thing, to me, is a miracle! If it works - I guess there are a certain of percentages of dogs it won't work on. In the house, however, he is scared of it and will try and flee in abject fear, lol. But today I told him to stay after our walk and when he got up and I showed him the NP he went away a few steps but came right back. I didn't even have to beep it! I am sold, folks! No more 150 - 180$$ obedience classes for me, unless it stops working on him. Of course, when he responds to it I give copious praise and treats! 13 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars It actually works! I have an extremely vocal American Eskimo Dog. I have done training, bark collars, and everything I could google. He has been like this his whole life (going on 17). To be fair, I am aware that a lot of it is due to his breed, and having several family members/friends coming and going in the home; I can't always be there, and they never do the same training for it to be consistent enough to work. This is the only tool that actually gets his attention to stop the barking, as well as other behaviors (poop eating!) that EVERYONE can easily use. Most of the time all it takes is for him to see us holding it, but the few times it is used it sends him in the other direction, and lately he takes it upon himself to remove himself from the situation and go elsewhere instead of excessively barking! His behavior is much improved overall since this has helped him learn to control and redirect himself.I also have a husky who is much less vocal - unusual for a husky, I know - but it doesn't work on him at all! He doesn't need it for barking, but we tried it once when he wanted to chase a raccoon. He is in the rare percentage of dogs that cannot hear it, which the company does warn you about in their instruction manual. Just wanted to add that in case this happens to anyone else.I am very impressed! I rarely leave reviews, but I am so grateful I just had to. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality Works really great, grabs your dog’s attention immediately. I use it train my son’s dog (a 6 month old Heeler) . He comes to my house 5 days a week while my son’s family is at work and school. Within a few days he was coming back to my side and sitting immediately when I buzzed him . (I only use it when he is doing something not acceptable.) I have 2 well trained dogs of my own and already just calling my son’s dog by name along with the bps no bark deterrent devise he is learning quickly.( even when my dogs are present and close). Be patient and this training device will work well. The battery lasts extremely well (after 8 weeks I’m still on the first charge). I regard this device as a electronic dog whistle for overall training not just barking control. 10 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tool, but unfortunately doesn’t work for my pup This training tool is very well designed, and I expect that it can be extremely effective for many pets.Unfortunately, it cannot work with my dog. No fault of the device. My Bernedoodle is the least noise phobic dog that I’ve ever had. She is immune to most loud noises, including gunshots, thunder, and fireworks. She looks for cues from us, then remains quiet and calm during any of these events, even if sustained for quite a long time. It’s really quite remarkable! However, I inadvertently created a problem when changing smoke detector batteries in our home one day. They are hardwired together, so every one of them in the house began screaming at the same time. Chloe had no safe place to go, and she simply freaked out. It took about an hour for her to calm down and stop pacing and panting after this event.I was very disappointed to learn that this device invokes the very same response. It cannot be used to train her from barking because she becomes irrationally petrified just by momentarily pressing the sound button, either in audible or ultrasonic mode. I will keep the device for use with a potential future pet, but it is not usable for our Chloe.(Damn! We tried to do everything right from her puppyhood and we got so close!) 8 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Snaps out of "stuck on stup1d" My dog gets tunnel vision staring and pulling the leash to get at his target. It could just be a friend or it could be the cat and I cannot break his hyper Focus on that Target. This device breaks that hyper attention in a way that is better than the shock training collar. The shock collar would make him flinch upon activation but he would still be staring at whatever he's trying to get to. This device distracts him and breaks that attention so that he can hear and accept a command for correction it is a really interesting device and has a lot of practical uses. Another dog is 5 lb and no amount of shock would be acceptable for a dog this small and this device I don't even have to use it. Once it comes out of my pocket the small one is ready to behave again. So that is another way it is better than the shock collar on a totally different animal and a totally different reason. 15 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable suburban dog walking tool I rarely give glowing reviews on Amazon especially for products like this. I have tried numerous dog anti-barking/training devices with limited success.I initially purchased this device for my poor neighbors nuisance retriever that barks constantly against the fence. The wind could blow….a noise from across the way and this special pooch is outside barking for 20 minutes. To my neighbors defense they have tried everything….including some devices which hippies might not appreciate. The dog is just special. I have tried numerous devices on this dog and just about nothing works so the fact that this didn’t was no surprise….however my dog reacts instantaneously. Now let me tell you where this device shines. I live next to a 6 foot wide walking path. In the past walking the dog was a pleasant activity with limited interaction. In my area there has been a population explosion and with that brings humans and dogs with all levels of training and behavior, occasionally not so good. There’s the meet and greet that wants to stop dead in the middle of the path and have a dog date, the dog walker with 3 plus dogs, The conference caller who is not paying much attention, The terrified dog owner who goes 15 feet off the path and gives constant reassurance, The somehow I can’t figure out how to walk my dog on the right person, The retractable leash person whose dog has 10 plus feet of leeway, The aggressive dogs who have to be physically restrained, The oh its friendly person as the dog charges, and the worst of all the off leash I am in complete control idiot……I am sure you all get the picture. When I am out for a dog walk its about exercise…its not a social event and my dog and I aren’t interested. If we were we would go to a dog park. This device is amazing…..I carry it in my left hand and most of the time it quickly corrects approaching behavior that the owner cannot or will not. This is is my first line of correction in addition to HALT spray that I carry. Some people may find that overkill but I have an older dog that I have to protect and I have been through several situations where I wish I had this one, two punch in the past. It also sometimes works for fence aggression……you know the kind….when you are walking by minding your own business and some docile lap dog slams his head through loose boards on a fence. Now I can’t say this works all the time…..but probably 70% and mostly all the time when I am on the path. Its enough to provide a quick correction as I am walking on the path (with my dog off to the right) and I can attest that it has stopped off leash charging dogs at least 3 times now.Well worth it to add to your dog walking experience if you live in suburbia. 196 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product I received this product and was surprised how small, but well made it was. It had a little link for a video and also instructions. And when you registered it you received a friendly email.I used this product on my 135lb German Shepherd (Ruger) who constantly barked at 1 family member. Ruger loved this family member, but for some reason picked up this bad habit. When Ruger was next to me (mom) anytime this family member moved, walked by, he would bark and bark.So when I started using this device I was a little skeptical, but I did not want to resort to a training/shock collar. Well needless to say after using this device for about 3 weeks on only the beeping mode Rugers barking is next to none . He has almost completely stopped this behavior completely. If he does slip I only have to just pick of the device and sometimes beep it once and say no and thats it. Going from uncontrollable barking of and on all day toward this one family member, to barking maybe 1-2 times a day and immediately listens to commands to stop. This device hands down is the best purchase I have made for my Ruger yet. And it comes with a 100% money back guarantee! Don’t pass this bye, so inexpensive yet works like a million bucks! 11 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and not harmful to our dog I like that is a no shock training device, very easy to us. We are having on and off results with it, it works good unless our dog is really focused on something and it is very hard to get her attention off from that. I think it will take some time to train our dog and train us a bit also as when to use it and when not to. We are happy with what it does, our daughter and my sister both bought one to give a try with their dogs. Fingers crossed it will help training to get better and better. 4 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding results When we bought this for our dogs that barked all the time every time, something outside the window moved. The first day we used it as instructed watched all the videos tone, the dog, then pressed the ultrasonic reprimand. After that it took exactly 2 days now all we have to say is no we don’t even need the remote in our hand, no more barking. Previously we use it obedience collar. The results are amazing. The only thing I would warn is we have a large lab and a small mixed dog. The small dog has really good hearing so when we use it, it bothers her more than the big dog. When there’s multiple dogs, caution needs to be taken, because it affects them both no matter where is pointed. 100% satisfied worth every penny, and would recommend 100%. 9 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazed! When reading the comments, I thought "there's no way this works as well as people say." I have 5 dogs of all shapes and sizes. I had bought another dog barking deterrent years ago and my one dachshund doesn't even budge at the sound of it. This grabbed all of their attention at once when they barked. I used it for 4 hours and could see a noticeable difference already. All 5 dogs go ballistic when someone they know comes in the door, I beeped it twice and there was silence. It was incredible. It even corrected my husky from jumping on the visitor as much. Excited to continue using it and see the progress. I must also add that the customer service and instructions of this device are impeccable. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Skeptical before I bought it I was so worried this was a gimmick. My two large dogs just kind of look at me when I use it towards them. But I bought it for the neighbors dog. The neighbor has a small yappy dog that will not stop barking at me when I just walk outside. It makes me not want to be in my own backyard and the neighbor doesn’t even get onto their dog for barking non stop at me. As soon as the dog started barking I pointed it towards the fence where it was and it instantly stopped barking and even left the wooden fence. Now everytime I go into the backyard I keep it with me and sometimes the dog will bark at the fence until I use this on it. Unbelievable! 4 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe how fast it worked! We had 2 large non barking dogs who pretty much didn't bark. Then we had to take in my husband's 93 year old aunt's dog because she couldn't take care of him anymore. He is a constant little yapping pain in our necks. We tried everything. Collars, noise sprays to startle him , yelling, cying, begging....you name it. Nothing worked. So instead of him stopping our Great Dane decided to join him. Making it like a million times worse. We both work from home and we needed help! I saw a ad for this product and bought it out of desperation. It took less than one day to work. I kid you not. Now I seldom even have to push a button. They just see me pick it up and silence.Totally recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny. I wish I had found this year's ago. It has completely stopped my dogs from fence fighting, which they have been doing for years. One of dogs (pittie) is super sensitive to the "noise" and I only had to use it a few times before he totally stopped running to the fence to battle the neighbor dogs. In only a few days the pittie went from charging the fence, to now being wary of it. (I think there is a little bit of Pavlov's dog situation happening.)My other dog isn't as affected but doesn't love the sound, and my two neighboor dogs seem immune.I absolutely suggest this but if your dog is sensitive, be careful how much you use it and keep it out of children's hands.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shocked at how fast and how good this thing worked. Lucy barked inside the house at everything. People walking down the street, cats in the front porch, leaves falling off of tree's - everything! If a dog barked down the street she would raise the alarm - barking her head off for minutes at a time once she got started. So I got this thing and Wow - I can't believe how good it works. It took less than a day to train her not to bark inside. She will now give a short and somewhat quiet bark and then run outside to bark at whatever is setting her off. I understand it might not work as good for all dogs but for mine I am pleased - I would rate higher if I could. Highly recommend. 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Anti-bark handheld device I was impressed with the quality of the device especially. I have used the shock bark collars before, which did work on my grand dachshund but didn’t like the idea of shocking him. He is smart and knew that when he had the collar on he shouldn’t bark. Only needed to use the shock a few times and he was trained, only had to use the audible beep from then on. The nice thing about this is that I only had to use the ultrasound button a few times and he now knows that he shouldn’t bark only using the beep. And he doesn’t have to have a cumbersome collar on. This product works as advertised, and I can see where you could use it to reinforce other positive behaviors as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was skeptical but this WORKS! I bring my dogs to work (small family business) & my dachshund/poodle mix is a serious barker. I honestly did not have high expectations but wow, everyone is surprised at the office. Only the highest level (orange button) works for her but it works! I followed instructional video steps & the first two buttons made her look back at me but continue on her barking frenzy. But when I hit that orange button she gave me a look like never before & actually hung her head a bit & tucked her tail between her legs. This dog is my baby & is very spoiled so I did not want to hurt her in any way w any kind of shock collar, etc but I had to control this obnoxious barking & this did it! One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the most amazing product I have ever purchased ever! When I got this product, I wasn’t sure what the game changer would mean, but I do now! if I have this device in my hand and my dogs go too far out of the yard I push the button once they stop at night when I let them out and they run begin to run. I push the button with the lights and they come running home immediately, I have never purchased such an effective dog training device, and I would definitely recommend if your dog barks get this! You must get this, and if you know anyone who’s dog barks, like a neighbor, give it to them as a gift! It will be a gift for yourself Seriously I hope we doesn’t get out because this thing would be worth $100! 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars AhhhhhhMAZING! I have 2 Mini-Schnauzers who are the terror or my neighborhood. They bark uncontrollably whenever they see another person or dog, hear any noise, a bird flies in the sky, the sun rises...you get it. If anyone comes over, forget about it! It's 5 minutes of craziness. I have tried working with them over and over and over with no success.I read the reviews of this ultrasonic tool and thought that I would give it a try. It seemed like a good value since it's rechargeable and not too large to carry in my hand.I read the directions and chose quiet as my word to go along with the tool. Well, I CANNOT believe the instant results! I walked with them the first time, following the directions and WOW! You can tell that they still wanted to bark but the ultrasonic sound worked perfectly.A friend came over yesterday and of course, I used the quiet command after only 1 day of this method. Just me saying quiet in a firm voice worked at first, which has never happened. I then used the ultrasonic sound along with the word quiet and it was like magic. My friend couldn't believe that he was not attacked and had to cover his ears!I highly recommend this amazing tool to use along with voice commands! 7 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for our very stubborn Great Pyrenes! I have four yappy, ankle biter neighbor dogs from hell that always bark when we go outside, and they try to attack the mower/fence when I cut the yard. I first tried this deterrent on them. After a bit, three of the four dogs kind of backed off, but one must be deaf and just stood at the fence barking. Not the crazy, I'm going to eat the fence, like normal, but he didn't seem to mind the ultrasonic or beep at all. I started having doubts as to whether this thing worked or not.HOWEVER, for our Great Pyrenes, who is extremely stubborn and will just stand in the back yard and stare at me when I call her, this has been amazing. We usually put a bark collar on her when we let her out, but it shifts over to the side, and after using it for two years, she mostly ignores its vibration. She has too long of hair for the shock. So, she barks and barks and barks. If I call her, she'll stop barking for a few minutes, but not come in, then resume barking. We originally had a beep/vibrate/shock collar with remote, which works great, but after also using it for two years, we opted for using the automatic one. So, we basically have two collars, one to somewhat deter the barking, and another one that is really only helpful if we want to get her to come in. Sometimes we'd put both collars on her, which I don't like to do, but that's the only way to get her to lessen her barking, and yet allow us to get her back in the house. With the remote collar, I'd have to sometimes hit the vibrate and beep button repeatedly, and sometimes she would also ignore it. It was hit or miss if she would actually come when I called her. Treats sometimes worked, but not very often. Then I found out about this little device. wow, what a difference. The first time I used it, she was out back barking like usual. I tapped the ultrasonic button, and she immediately came running into the house, all excited. Later, she was barking again, and I didn't even have to press the button after I called her. She just came running. That is rare. Another time, she started running down the stairs, barking, and I tapped the button, and she immediately turned around and came back up. If I use it in the house, she always comes running up to me and wants to be petted. She isn't afraid of the sound. It's more like a curiosity, and it definitely gets her attention. We also have a little chiweenie, and when he got out of the gate the other day and ran up the street, I got to within about 150 feet of him and tried the ultrasonic button, and he turned around and ran back home and went back inside on his own.So, like the instructions say, it may not work on all dogs. At least it may not work completely on some dogs (especially demon dogs, like my neighbors'). But in the case of my dogs, I'm extremely happy with it. 107 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my dog!! I must admit I was skeptical on how this would work. I’ve tried bark colors but didn’t want to use the shock option. I have a Pomeranian would bark and loses his mind when someone walked outside or came to the door. Once I received the NPS Alpha bark tool I couldn’t wait to try it. They have three choices to choose. The first is a sound which honestly did not faze him. The second button is as a sonic sound I couldn’t hear but he sure could. Stopped him in his tracks. I think I hit it twice and he stopped. I would say no bark when I hit the button. I would use this if he jumped on someone or barked when someone came in. I still use the sound button first to remind him then push the sonic sound sparingly. I don’t want him to get used to it. Now he may bark but stops pretty quick. I haven’t used it in a while. So happy. I most assuredly recommend it. Price is good. I ordered one more for the back of the house. The neighbors dog was using my front yard and I thought I would try it on him. I pushed the sonic button, he stopped and turned right around and went home. Amazing. 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great ... And I have suggestions.... This is a great device. It works it really really really works! I have tried a lot of different colors that are a combination between beeping and vibrating and shocking although I'd ever used the shock ones very often because the shocks were too torturous for my dogs, I have five Yorkies. Now I don't use the callers at all and instead use this.Suggestions:* Sell in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 quantities with bigger discounts for more. I'd like to have these in different places in the house.* Change the shape so that it can also be worn on the wrist, like something spiderman would wear. And instead of shooting a web they were just be able to direct the sound beam toward your pet. I would be wearing this all day if I could.* I would add buttons to the device for a short medium long range ultrasonic sound. I have five Yorkies and sometimes I want to make sure that the beam is very narrow but also if they're really close that it has an impact on them. Sometimes they are really close in the house but sometimes they're also really far away in the backyard.* I also dream of a separate device from this company that would be a tabletop or wall mounted version where it has multiple beams pointing outward with a sound sensor... If one of my five Yorkies is barking it could pick up the noise and the directions coming from and start with a mild audible beep and then go to a short pulse of ultrasonic sound and then do it again for longer and then longer and then longer if they don't stop.* This is a great company who actually seems to care about customer service and who totally understands customer service... Let's hope that they read these reviews and develop some new products because I would buy new products from them for sure!Bravo on a really great and effective product. My five Yorkies went crazy when somebody came to the door, and they still do a little bit but sometimes now it's only just one or two out of the five that bark and I just have to press the audible beep and now they know if they don't stop the ultrasonic sound will be next. I think the distance recommendations are key to how this works... The very first time I use this on one of my Yorkies he just fell over and then got back up... I think he was surprised more than anything. 28 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars This device WORKS! I have a very loud foster dog who barked quite a lot. I had little faith this would do anything, but after just 1 use, our barking problem has been solved. I only had to use the harsh sound setting 2 times during the initial training. When I used it, I could tell it was uncomfortable for him and I was saddened thinking it hurt him. But, it has now been a couple weeks and I haven't used it since. After 1 bark, I simply point it at him and he usually stops. Sometimes I will use the beep function which just gives a warning. He ALWAYS stops and I have never escalated to using the harsher sound setting again. He is 5 yo and was very sensitive to it.My 11yo also heard it and is responding well to its use after just 1 time of using it on her, but I don't think she was as sensitive to the sound being older. I'm actually comforted to know that if I do use it on her, it wont cause her as much discomfort. Even my 16yo almost completely deaf dog could hear it surprisingly. This tool has been just what our pack needed. This will go a long way in helping our little guy find a forever home, as he was adopted and returned to us previously due to his barking which would not be acceptable in a housing situation with shared walls like an apartment. This opens up forever home opportunities for him! Thank you!! One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars It Really Works!!!! We have been dealing with two barking German Shepards next door to us for about a year. We nicely asked the neighbor to please get their dogs to at least keep quiet at night...they would bark at every little noise, constantly! We couldn't even go in our own backyard! Well, we were at wits end. So I went on Amazon to research things too help keep dogs from barking. I found this product, WOW & thank you is all I can say! The first time we used it in our backyard, those dogs shut up!!!! We would say "quiet" and press the middle button, they would stop barking. We were consistent at saying"Quiet" and then press the middle button. It took only a few days for them to quit the constant barking!!! They do not like that noise from this product. 2 months later, they hardly bark at all! We only have to say "quiet " now and they stop barking. Thank you for such a great bark deterrent product!!!! 5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful training device! I love this training device, it's harmless and it works for Dogs over 6 months old . I have a Pomeranian and she barks at everything but not after the 1st use . All I do is show it to her or tell her I'm getting the clicker she shuts up and worked great on my neighbors 2 barking dogs , 2 clicks with the lights and sound they Immediately stayed quiet and no more annoying barking 😁 I recommend 100%+ but don't work on puppies under 6 months old but because they are not developed enough to realize where the sound is coming from and why . But you won't regret this purchase! The charge last for days if you can remember to shut the button off when not in use . I have not had to charge it in the month I have had it besides the first day I received it but it came charged and then I charged it that night and it has been charged since. 5 star plus One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars My Lab was Barking at every Animal in our Backyard coming to/from Preserve During the day, it's not so annoying when my Lab occasionally barked at animals in my backyard (most coming to/from our Preserve area), however, at night, especially when watching a Movie, having a 110 lb Lab leap across the couch and across my lap and start barking became very irritating. I purchased this Dog Bark Deterrent and only wish I had done so sooner. I now keep it in one of the drink holders of the couch and he knows when I pick it up to stop barking immediately. Matter of fact, he will see that I have the Dog Bark Deterrent with me and knows not to bark. The first time I used it I accidentally pressed the top button (which should be used as a last resort). I felt terrible because he actually immediately laid on the ground so I knew the noise (humans can't detect) was very irritating. Now I only use the warning button at the opposite end and it works perfectly. I haven't charged it yet and have had it for awhile so I believe it has decent charge retention. So happy with this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Game changer I am very happy with the NPS bark deterrent. The dog is bonded to my wife, but barks constantly at me, and other men, especially when I am standing. Caused real disruption in home environment. Tried to modify with food rewards with no improvement. On day one of using the NPS in ultrasonic mode accompanied by STOP for just one second, he responded favorably. A week has passed now and I hardly even use it, though I always carry it on person. He seems to know I have it and has calmed down. He is not frightened of me, nor does he avoid me. I do not use it every time he barks, dogs bark like people talk. I also don’t want him to expect the buzz if he barks when someone is at the door or another dog is present. Dogs do communicate with a bark. Dogs can alert you of trouble with a bark, so don’t overdue it. Told my neighbor about it and she has ordered one for her long-term barkers. Device is well made of rugged plastic and though rare these days, the directions are clear and well written.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for barking! I have an almost 1 year old maltipoo that I've had for 5 months now. When I got her she was trained to use puppy pads, but she developed a habit of dragging them around and completely shredding them. They are not cheap, and I've been constantly cleaning up the shreds. She's also a chewer and I might as well sign up for auto ship on phone chargers because she's chewed so many.I decided to try out this device to deter her from chewing/shredding. I've only had it for a couple days and have already seen major improvements. The first time I used it she was ripping up a pad and when I pressed the button she immediately stopped and was tipping her head back and forth wondering what she was hearing. She's still going for the pads often but when I use the device she stops what's she's doing and either goes and lays down or gets a toy/bone to chew on instead. It's kind of unbelievable how well this has been working, and fingers crossed it continues to work! I was super skeptical about this but if you are too just give it a try!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars You won’t need to use it for long I got my puppy Tuesday night 2/6.My friend let me borrow this device for a few days because she’s a rambunctious little girl! Normal puppy. He said he used it at the dog park for his dog, for only a couple of days. He said his dog’s aggression changed immediately. He said “I only have to hold it in my hand and Cooper stops fighting w/dogs he doesn’t like.”I’m a “see it to believe it,” kind of girl lol. After the very first press of the button (medium sound) my dog understood that I wanted her to stop jumping on the baby gate.I used it a handful of times that first night. To stop her biting, jumping, chasing kitties, etc.2/7 first thing in the morning: my puppy was trying to squirm UNDER the baby gate (yes, she tried to find an alternate route🤣) to chase the kitties. I didn’t even press a button & she stopped in her tracks when she saw me pick it up.Enough said!I immediately ordered a device for my home.If you want a pain-free way to deter unwanted behaviors in any dog I HIGHLY recommend this product. This little device has made puppy training way less stressful for my pup & I.I always use a verbal command before turning it on. I ultimately I want her to understand & respond to my verbal commands. If she doesn’t listen the first time, I don’t have to raise my voice. I press a button!!Thank you for making an affordable device that actually works without teaching my puppy that I should be feared when she doesn’t listen❤️ 3 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Skeptical at first but it works!!! I was really hoping this would work and after reading many reviews I'm very happy to say I tried the device, and it does! In our subdivision dogs from 4 homes meet at the fences and bark. They bark. Did I mention how much they bark? A lot. They bark a lot. Our newest addition has a loud deep bark that can just about wake the dead and possibly has for all we know. In order to save the entire neighborhood's sanity, I decided to try this. One of our shelter dogs must have been familiar with this type of training and responded immediately. Our extra loud guy needed a couple of times but will actually stop barking and just hang by the fence even if all the other dogs are still causing chaos. I am quite lazy and thrilled that I can now sit and sip my coffee at the kitchen table and just point this device across the yard in the direction of my dog and he'll stop barking. Either my dogs are really really smart, or this device is quite miraculous. I think it's a bit of both. He still has moments of fitful barking when he wants to play with his fur siblings, and we are working on that but for just starting this training I am impressed. My daughter wants to get one for her dog now too.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's truly a game changer! We adopted our rescue in November. He's a good boy, but very reactive to everything - barking and lunging at walkers, joggers, other dogs, playing kids, anything breathing- during our walks. It got to the point where other dog parents would turn around and go the other way when they saw us coming down the street. We tried the vibrating beeping type collar, but it didn't stop the behavior. I came across this while researching and reading tons of reviews and was impressed but didn't think it would help our little guy. I decided to order and it arrived on Jan 30th. We started by using the audible and saying "no bark" giving him 2 chances to stop. When he didn't stop we "zapped" him with the ultrasonic and the result was instant! We've had to use the ultrasonic a handful of times after the audible warning but i haven't used it for a few days now. I just let him see that I have it in my hand and say "no bark" and 90% of the time he doesn't bark. The other 10% of the time, the audible is enough. In short, give this game changer a shot. It has made our boy a better neighbor :) 4 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars It works!!!! My dogs react to it immediately! I needed a way of training them to stop jumping on me every time I came home or walked out of the bedroom. They constantly fought each other for my attention. Once I was able to give them the command sit stay along with this device I could then use positive praise every time they started to do this and I have to say it’s been wonderful watching them working for that now. They are so calm and no longer jump on me. Love this wonderful tool! It has to be used properly though or it will confuse your dog so I will advise you to make sure you are consistent in your commands and the communication you are using with your dog otherwise you may have a dog that is just scared. It’s a wonderful tool used in the correct way!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect solution for a long time problem! Bought this for our unruly Schnauzer. Constant barking and misbahevior toward her companions was getting on my last nerve! I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a shock collar because they just eventually tear them off and I don't like the idea of electrodes stabbing the dog in the neck and causing harm. She's not on death row. This little apparatus is complete genius! It's working well! Don't expect it to work right away on a misfit dog you have to give it time and they eventually get the picture. Other dogs may learn quicker. Be persistent and patient. I really like how this thing comes with a USB charging cord eliminating the need to change a silly battery. The range on it is excellent. I used it to get the attention of one of my other dogs who likes to stand there instead of using the bathroom. In the yard about 15-20yds away he heard the sonic beep and broke his concentration. I was impressed. I can't think of anything I don't like about this piece. It's nicely packaged and a genius design. The three functions on it can be used for various reasons and the QR code in the box leads you to a video that explains it in full. I would highly recommend buying ten of these before buying one shock collar! A+! 6 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! Really works I bought this for my daughter who has a very large 8 year old dog that she has had since he was a puppy. He is a great dog but had a habit of continuously barking at my daughter when she came home from work. He didn't do this with anyone else but her. She tried everything to stop this (giving undivided attention, treats, and finally escalating to shock collar, and yelling "stop, quiet," and other things I don't want to mention, lol.) Needless to say, they both were very stressed by this behavior. After receiving this device it only took two times of her using it to make him stop. Now, if he starts getting anxious when she gets home he only has to see the device and calms down and no barking!! It's truly amazing. I highly recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective immediately Our corgi, a very vocal dog didn't listen to anything once she would start barking. It was uncontrollable, startling and embarrassing. This caught our dog's attention immediately upon the first use and she stopped dead in her tracks and sat between my legs, QUIETLY and concerned at the sound I could not hear. I was amazed. This is her usual reaction to it now or she runs away quietly and stops barking. Because she has since gotten used to it (for about a month and a half of use), it will take a few attempts, but overall, I don't need to use it much anymore because with the help of this device, she has finally learned that my command "no bark!" means to stop barking or the scary orange remote comes out. So instead, she actually listens to my words now! When she doesn't now and then, this device still comes in handy and is useful. I carry it everywhere with me just in case. Highly recommended! 5.0 out of 5 stars Actually works !! We had just rehomed a rescue pet and he had a lot of bad habits from previous owners. Pulling on the leash and barking alot and jumping up (giving hugs) lol . We didn't know what to do since we do live in a apartment complex with little ones and he is a rottwieler so those breeds are automatic looked as a threat so we need him to be a extra good boy. WELLL we purchased this out of desperation hoping anything will work at this point my little ones were afraid of his overly hyper self and the jumping and glad to say I am happy we gave this item a chance. It has helped soooo much with the walking jumping and barking . Just hold the button for 2 seconds and he gets redirected , works really well with walks and the barking. I don't try to go to it all the time because I do want him to listen without having to have it at him all the time. I see progress and that's what counts. Thank you !!!!! 5.0 out of 5 stars It works if YOU work with it Our dog Maddie barks at the deer in the woods behind our house and scares them off. We enjoy watching the deer and we have been training her to stop, butshe would keep barking even though we were giving her the usual commands that worked for every other bad behavior. This product did not work at 1st, but by letting her sniff it, and saying the command, then briefly touching the button, she put two and two together. Now when we call her away from the patio doors, she comes. If not, we give her a warning beep, then the vibration. She then toddles back to the living room for a treat. We no longer need to give her a treat, we just say, "Good girl", and tell her to lie down. It took a little effort on our part, but it works if you work with it!Yes, highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars It really works!!! Our backyard is fenced and we have 2 dogs. On either side of us, there are 3 dogs and when ours and the neighbors are out at the same time, they go at it through the fence (6 foot wooden privacy fence). Our younger dog is a boxer and has knocked out a couple boards on occasion so we try to stop engagement as soon as possible which meant running into the back yard in all types of weather. NO MORE!!Now I can use this and tell Samson "in the house" and he will come running in. No more having to throw on shoes and coats. It doesn't faze our little dog (only 22 pounds) but that's okay, she quits engaging after a bit and no fear of her knocking out boards. She's 12 and getting hard of hearing so the video said that it wouldn't really work for her 2 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed! Didnt know what to expect. Adopted a rescue with seperation barking and excessive leash pull. With in minutes of getting the product and gokng for our first walk. What a huge difference. The recall and lack of pull was incredible. Verbal comand once and if no sign of action a quick tap and he refocuses back to me. He is anxious with new things but seems to tolerate it okay. He just isnt sure what the new "noise" is yet. The producf blew my expectations out of the water and using it as a tool not a deterrent. My dog is 1.5 and a rescue im sure almost never experienced the outside world the way a dog should or even through a window, so this is a helpful tool guiding his learning and what ques he should be focused on. Glad i decided to try it out. And the best part is after only a couple hours all i need to do is one reminder and show the device and he falls back into acceptable actions. Love the fact rhey have an instruction manual and a qr video link. One person found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I bought it I live in close proximity to two neighbors who are bad dog owners. One let's their dog out almost hourly every day where it barks at anything and everyone (including me, who the dog has met many times), and the other neighbor has a beagle cooped up in a 2nd floor apartment that makes this awful howl/baying noise at all hours of the day when the window is open. And their windows are always open.I bought this device in the hopes that it would help my sanity and it absolutely did. I'm not a fan of the orange button with the strobe light or the bottom button as its very audible, but the middle button gets those dogs to immediately shut up and I can hardly hear it if its in my pocket.100% reccomend this device. I'm looking into getting an outdoor unit so I dont have to carry this around my house all the time, but I'll definitely be taking it with me on walks and when I'm in my yard. 5.0 out of 5 stars It works I have an 80 lb German Shepherd that everytime she sees a cat out side she tries to go through my picture window. II was afraid she would actually break it. First time I used it I just pushed the sound mode. She stopped and looked at me but headed back to window. Then I said NO and pushed the Ultrasonic mode and she stopped and left the room I keep it sitting on end table and now if she goes to bark at cats all I have to do is pick it up and point it at her. She walks away. It works great. I didnt believe it would actually work til I saw it. Thanks

5.0 out of 5 stars Get your dogs attn I was hesitant when I purchased it for my yorkipoo for bad behavior such as barking crazy the mail carriers friends and family going under the couch and hiding and so on. This device if you keep it handy with the wristlet that it comes with you will notice when used it really gets your dogs attn and stops them in there tracks. Mine stops barking looking at my crazy lol like mom what was that. Persistence is the key with this item if you don’t use it enough it will be no help. I’m open to any questions also there are 3 different buttons on the device that all do something different to get there attn back to you. If one doesn’t work I go to step 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big relief My dog is a 20 lb terrier 1 yo puppy is getting very exited and won’t listen. We went through obedience classes. It’s embarrassing when she starts barking at other dogs and I can’t stop her. This device helps so far but I have to use second( prolong) button. She stopped responding to first( quick) button after few uses. Even with second one I have to press it for couple seconds. I only been using the device when we go for a walk and it’s been a week. She stops barking and I give her a treat. I feel better that I have better control over her. Will try to train her with this device not to pull the leash also after we master to be quiet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helps me to not yell at my dogs I wish I had found this years ago. I've only had this a few days and already I can see this is a game changer. I do NOT need to constantly use this. One press is enough to get their attention. My normal work day consists of working with 6 dogs. 2 of which have difficult temperaments. Barking without regard to commands to stop, and not focusing on my when I am giving commands has been a huge struggle. We have tried shock collars, but have always hesitated to use them due to the discomfort to the dog. This device has changed everything for me. We are allowed to be more successful together. I think the more we train the less we will have to use this! AMAZING!!

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING - COMPLETE GAME CHANGER!!! This little device is amazing. I honestly did not think it was going to work. I don't have a dog but my neighbors do. Instead of walking the dog my neighbors just let it out in the yard every morning around 5:30 AM. It barks and howls for about 15-20 minutes before they let the dog back in the house. My bedroom window is about 30 feet away so I was losing sleep every morning. I figured my only alternative was to either talk to my neighbors, which I knew would not go over well, or try this device - so I took chance and purchased it. The dog instantly reacted when I pushed the button running to the other side of the yard. It only took 2-3 uses for the dog to stop barking. I've had the device for about two months and very rarely does the dog bark anymore. I found this device to be 100% effective. Highly recommended - 13 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Amazingly Well Wow! If only you could see my Facebook account to see the videos of my naughty pitbull.. he thinks he is the mayor of the front door and of the sheriff of the canal we live on (chasing boats) to slow down! He rips thru screens and shreds anything delivered. So, I got this… I swear, it took two uses and he legit sits like a gentleman for a command. I am stunned! I even had him professionally trained and the trainer told us to use a shock collar, it was cruel, and this little product does not hurt him in anyway, in fact, I just hold it when going to the door, not even turning it on! It captures his attention. Hands down a miracle in this house.

5.0 out of 5 stars NPS DOG TRAINER better then a bark collar I have started using this device with care .. I mix other training techniques as well first with distracting him with treats a praise. I have just begun to use the NPS dog trainer or anti bark device.. this is by far better than the bark collar I used previously.. it is a powerful training tool. Really. With all things dog.. you need to be patient an take your time to use as an effective device .. I don’t want to scare my dog but to have a positive result. I rescued a Doberman that had a difficult first five months. He is pretty well trained at this point still some fine tuning . He is still reactive to bicycles motorcycles , etc. sometimes dogs on walks . I purchased this device because he goes off so completely when he sees bicycles, etc an that looks super scary and he is super strong . he has broken away from me ran in the street only to greet the bicyclists with love .. I don’t want him to be hit by a car in this moment of reactivity. he is highly sensitive an intelligent an wants to please. As the NPS instruction video suggests.. I show him the device then begin ..however so far I have only used the sound button an recalled him away from the reactive issue give praise an a treat .. patience is the best way to train a dog..also he does not like to be away from me so he barks in the crate when I cannot take him with me. Dog are complicated beings .. take it slow for positive results.. I see the potential of this device and I am hopeful that I can finally master these problematic issues with him.. my opinion is this device is another tool to be able to achieve my goals with my amazing dog. Nothing is easy that has to do with changing emotional reactions. Actually nothing is easy..but results are rewarding.. 9 people found this helpful

5.0 out of 5 stars it works I have 7 dogs, everyone they hear a doorbell, knock or someone comes over we have chaos. I know this is a dogs job but I have a couple rescues that are mentally unstable and they start fights. This worked the first time! I just show it to them now and they obey. I used a water bottle before and would have to chase them to to show them what I was holding. They quickly caught on that I had to be near them to give them a squirt. Again, dogs naturally are guard animals and it's their nature to bark, I accept that, it's the ensuing chaos that includes fighting that I have to correct. This works

5.0 out of 5 stars Nifty little tool that works This was a pleasant surprise. I decided that if it didn't work, I was only out 30.00 or so and it seemed worth the risk. I have four dogs, three of them small ones who are barky and persistent about it.I'm a decent trainer/owner, but barking is hard to overcome when the rewards for doing it are greater (adrenaline-like feedback) than the ones for obeying are (cookies can't compete with adrenaline). So I needed a correction that was impersonal and unpleasant without being painful. This tool was both.Within about 48 hours, they were listening and being quiet when I told them to be. They need a brush up once in a while, but I no longer have to bellow at them to make my point.Solidly useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow We're having a baby in a few months and decided we needed something to help our dogs not to bark excessively. We normally do not mind because it's a deterrent. But now we want to have a little more control on training them when or to stop if the child is napping mostly. Day one and immediately it gets their attention. So far impressedI will say our four cats hate it. Two run off instantly, even when not pointed at them, one hid and didn't come out for hours. The other two less bothered but very much - what the heck was that noise! So, guess I might end up using it for training the cats to stay out of the baby room now too!So far recommend.
